The staff at the hotel were friendly, warm and welcoming. They made you feel like you've been there for ages. The pools and pool areas were exceptionally clean. There was always a sun bed even when busy. Often the pool was almost empty. There is a free shuttle to Sorrento regularly. Wine was a fair price.

The hotel is a bit far from anywhere and doesn't have anything easily walkable close by. It's not the most luxurious but is overall a good hotel. Views from the room weren't that great and rooms can be a bit noisy from other guests. Food and other drinks like slushies are quite expensive.

This is my 4th time staying at La Solara. This time booked on a B&B basis and can easily eat in the restaurant in the evening if you want. Hotel is run by extremely helpful staff and lovely to see staff who have been working here for many years. Shuttle bus extremely convenient for getting to the centre of Sorrento, leaving every hour and returning to the hotel quarter past the hour. Dont' miss the Gala dinner on the Sunday, fantastic food, fantastic staff, great place to stay in Sorrento away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

Clean rooms, easy access to city centre by shuttle bus

For what we wanted the location was just right, especially with the hourly free minibus shuttle down and back to sorrento. The choice of food for breakfast was more than adequate and very tasty. The staff were without exception welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable.

The only negative was that the walls were paper thin meaning we could hear everything from either side - and I mean everything! Examples include people talking and coughing, water being run for a bath, glassware being put down onto furniture, passionate late night interludes, doors being opened and shut and chairs being moved around.

The whole stay was great the staff could not do enough for us and kids, Massimo and Restaurant Manager Marcello were superb , even made a Lasagna specially for the kids and Decorated a table for a Birthday to one of the kids and Made a Birthday cake (with out charge ) recommend people to stay here !

everything was perfect ! the whole experience was great, cannot fault the hotel Room was great cleanliness , food and poolside food was really good so yes book this hotel regular hotel bus to near railway station , good for visit to Pompei Ruins Direct train do not drive easier via train from Sorrento

Great location with an amazing view. Great breakfast. The pool was huge and beautiful.

We were a group of three and had dinner there for two nights. The waiters asked for our room numbers and we assumed the charges will be shown on the credit card of the person who did the booking (3 persons for each group). They posted the charges on only one person’s bill and we had to separate our bills after the fact which was a pain and wasted time on the last night trying to sort it out.

Very clean. Spacious room. Good location away from the main sorrento region. Excellent sea view. Our Private Balcony overlooking the sea was twice as big as the room. Great view of dense vegetation around. Very serene atmosphere everywhere in the hotel. Great pool. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Nothing at all. The building appears slightly old, especially compared to 5-star business hotels in main business cities, but that is what gives the hotel a serene winding down ambience.

Pool area was kept clean and tidy & pool super clean well done Francisco the pool guy. Ukrainian bar staff & Giuseppe where amazing. Receptionist especially Tina great too

Beds are uncomfortable and need more food options for people who are not on full board for example to buy some snacks etc. if you don't pay €15 euro for their breakfast there is no other option

The hotel seems to be a bit old and we were not expecting much to be honest. However, we were positively surprised! The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely view on the seaside and hills. We were watching amazing sunsets every day. The balcony was huge with sunbeds and coffee table. The food was also ok. The most wonderful was the staff! Very nice and helpful, always smiling! They fulfilled all our wishes before we even had the chance to think of them :) I definitely recommend this hotel. The Sorrento center was too crowded and loud for us, La Solara hotel was a relief for us as it is located in quiet part of Sorrento, up on a hill. There was a free shuttle bus to city center offerred by the hotel. Everything made our stay at La Solara AMAZING. Big thank you to all the staff!!!!

The shuttle bus into town everyday is very convenient, it leaves every hour and returns at quarter past every hour; the staff were all wonderful, the swimming pool is lovely, and the food was amazing (Marcello is a wonderful host)

Bar food is only served between 12 noon and 4pm, it would be great if the opening times could be extended
