This was the best stay in our Italy trip so far. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, we loved having bar service for cocktail hour on the patio and the rooftop terrace. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was really good. Excellent value for the money . Don't try hiking up the hill with your suitcases! Get some EAV or Sita bus tickets at the train station as the walk up the hill on cobblestones to the hotel is exhausting on a hot day.

Fantastic location and view! Rooms were clean, nice-sized and most of our rooms had awesome balconies with views. Giuseppe was a wonderful hotel representative. He was knowledge and helpful with booking tours. The breakfast was perfect! The ladies working the breakfast service were hard working and wonderful! The cafe con lattes were delicious! The lobby bar was nice too! The frozen lemoncello shot/drink upon arrival was AMAZING! The bus stop right in front was perfect for our older family members! the walk to Sorrento was pleasant and not bad at all! Be careful and alert though! The pictures don't really do it justice. I would never have picked this hotel, it does not stand out, but I am so glad I did! A friend referred us, and I am so glad we stayed here!

If I had to pick something, the towels were thin. But they worked, just not like a fluffy towel I am used to.

Breakfast is nice with a good selection of meats, cheeses, cereals, breads, etc. and was never overly busy the three mornings we were there. Our room didn't have a view as we were at the back of the hotel which looks into a rock wall, but we weren't bothered by that as the rooftop terrace offers spectacular view over the sea. The room was a good size, clean and more than comfortable for two people. The best part about this hotel without a doubt is the staff - they're all so incredibly friendly and helpful. In particular, Andrea at the front desk is an absolute gem, he went above and beyond for us in every way. Will definitely stay at this hotel again if we're back in Sorrento.

I was on a trip to Amalfi cost with my dougher. We have chosen hotel Britania because we thought it is good place to stay for all our trip plans. And it was the best! First, when we booked the hotel, they sent us mail to welcome us and they sent us all ways how to reach to the hotel, from airport, train station and city center. They were opened for all of our questions and recommended us the best ways for all our trip plans even before we came. So they were unexpectedly polite. The hotel is placed on the main road to Amalfi cost on one side and to center of Sorrento and road to Napoli on the other. The bus stop of SITA bus and EAV bus is in front of the hotel, so it has great conneciton. If you want to travel around it is very practical. Hotel is 15 minutes away from the city center walking and 5 minutes by EAV bus, so you can get fast to train station for Napoli or Pompei, or to Marina Piccola for Napoli or Capri. This hotel has beautiful view on the sea. You can also see Vesuvius and Napoli across the sea when the weather is nice. On the other side the view shows you the typical italian lemon garden. The room is very nice and clean, so was the bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, typical continental, with cereals, james, nutela, homemade lemon jame, fruit, fruit salad, eggs, ham, cheese, bacon, tomato and cucumber salad, bread and pastries. Big surprise was that they made coffee at real espresso machine! Stuff at dining room was so nice and polite. Even we only slept and had breakfast at the hotel, we felt as we are at home. The receptionists make domestic atmosphere. They are very, very, very nice, polite and kind. Every time we met they asked us how was our day, when we were planing to go and they gave us the best advices how to get there where we planed. If you stay in this hotel don't miss to walk to the centre of Sorrento. You'll join the view on cliffs, parks, tiny streets, beautiful churches and small of blossom oranges.

Was upgraded to a sea view room and it was beautiful. Very clean and spacious, with almost everything you could need for a short stay. Breakfast was great and the rooftop area was incredible, with a hot tub and plenty of deck chairs. Receptionists were all incredibly helpful and friendly, and helped me book several tours. Location was great; perched atop the hill overlooking the bay but still an easy-enough walk to Sorrento town centre.

You had to hand in your key every time you left the hotel, I'm assuming for security reasons. Even though the receptionists were there 24 hours, it was just an extra inconvenience I could have done without. Would've also liked my towels changed more regularly (happened once during my 5 night stay).

The Hotel was perfect. Lovely staff who were extremely helpful, making excellent recommendations for places to eat as well as arranging bookings and printing ferry tickets. It’s a little away from all the noise of central sorrento, which despite the steep walk up the hill, we actually enjoyed. The breakfast was ideal, with all the basic things you would want to start your day. Our booking was upgraded to a sea view which we were very grateful for and the room itself was spacious, tall ceilings, clean and had all the amenities you’d need during your stay. A short walk to central sorrento, Bagni Regina and Marina Grande with a good local restaurant just around the corner and buses stopping directly outside. It ticks all the boxes. No frills or luxuries, but excellent service, value and would highly recommend.

The roof terrace has lots chairs and a cold shower, which when you don’t want to pay for the beach clubs are an easy solution for a day in the sun. The jacuzzi is a nice touch, but would obviously prefer a proper pool to cool off. However completely understand this is a large ask/expense for such a hotel. A small fridge in the room would be nice to keep water and such cool. But we didn’t mind filling up from the sink taps. My only gripe is that the bar prices are quite steep, but there’s a little shop just down the road that sells drinks and snacks at much more reasonable prices.

Hotel Britannia definitely exceeded our expectations. It is a 15 minute walk from the city centre in a beautiful location, with beautiful views of the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius. The room was very spacious and very clean. We had a balcony with sea view which was the highlight of the stay. The breakfast was really nice and they had freshly made Italian cakes every morning like Ciambelone. The hotel also offers tours to Amalfi and Capri which I would definitely recommend. Special commendations for the staff at reception! All three of them were amazing! They awaited us with a drink ( their lemon slushie with Apperol) because it was my birthday. Helped us with restaurant suggestions and even allowed us to check out slightly later. The cleaning lady and breakfast lady was also amazing! The location of the hotel is a bit up the hill, but nothing crazy and I would say it’s in a perfect location for all attractions. The hotel also has an amazing terrace and beautiful sunsets.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Britannia! Giuseppe,Stefano, and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful at providing directions, coordinating transportation, booking excursions and providing local recommendations. The hotel sits upon a hill that’s a beautiful 10 minute walk to town, or you can take the bus. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start your day exploring the Amalfi coast. The hotel is very clean and made for a perfect stay in Sorrento. We hope to return again! Thank you!

The staff were amazing! Very kind and helpful! Upon checking in we were surprised with a room upgrade ❤️ They explained everything to us upon checking in, gave us tips on what to visit, also important information about buses and transport etc., that was very helpful! The room and cleanliness of the hotel were amazing. Breakfast was great and all other amenities.

The location of the hotel is a little bit far from the city centre, bus station and port. 20-30 minutes walking to the port/station/city centre. It was not a big problem for us, since we love walking + the view on the way to the city centre and back was exceptional.

We had an amazing time staying at Hotel Britannia while in Sorrento! The staff are so great, extremely kind and very helpful. They provided us with stellar restaurant recommendations and scheduled boat tours for us with transportation to and from the hotel. The hotel had a great view of the sea and is only a short 10-15 minute walk to the tourist district (and there's a bus that can take you right up to the front door if you don't want to walk). Excellent stay, great location, and fantastic staff!
