Wonderful location, amazing views, great private beach, views onto wooded area. Rooftop terrace. Darting lizards in the sunshine on the paths. Welcoming staff, very accommodating. Pavement all the way from the property to town. Spacious family room. Delicious breakfast including freshly baked cakes - orange my favourite! Anna was a wonderful breakfast host.

The staff were very good and always went out of their way to help , building a little tired but fitted our purpose as we were out and about most days

We had an absolutely wonderful stay – this hotel is a true gem! It’s simple but charming, located about 1 km from central Sorrento, and absolutely perfect for a relaxing visit. Loved that we had a balcony towards the garden and the birds were singing. The staff were incredibly helpful, but a special thank you goes to Annamaria, who made our mornings something to look forward to. With a sparkle in her eye and a heart full of kindness, she took care of every guest and turned breakfast into a true experience. And what a fantastic breakfast she served – fresh, delicious, and made with love! Annamaria is a star who makes sure everyone feels welcome and at home. We warmly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

We choose Hotel Desiree because we need a place with parking at the same time access to a beach while in Sorrento. Parking is free and secure. Analisa, the front desk staff made our check in seamless, easy and efficient. She provided us helpful information for our tour around the city and to Capri. She is warm and welcoming, great first impression.

They have a very good breakfast selection. We love Anna Margarita who makes our cappuccino daily and makes our stay an enjoyable one. The beach access is a bonus, a good experience, with a wonderful view and enchanting little bay.

The personal on the reception and in the breakfast room is super friendly and really care that you have your best time in there hotel. Lift to the private beach is a great option, I got swimming experience out of the season alone on the beach with 4 minutes way from my room(during the season you will have to pay for the beach). You have view on a whole Sorrento from the neighborhood. Most likely you will have view on the sea from your room. You have roof of the hotel open and available to hang out there.

No dinner option, so every time you would like to eat you have to go 15-25 minutes to the city and back along the noisy road with a lot of cars, but with beautiful views.

Everything was great about this hotel! It wasn't in the heart of downtown, but it was a short walk. The room was really large with lots of storage, and the bathroom a great size. The front desk staff members were friendly and gave great recommendations. The breakfast was your standard European breakfast (and it was plentiful and varied), and the highlight was the breakfast hostess. She was so friendly and gracious, even though we did not share the same language. She started our day perfectly! I'd return there if I ever made my way back to Sorrento.

It was a great value for money stay which was clean and in a fabulous location. All the staff were really friendly and helpful plus the views were gorgeous! It really exceeded our expectations for a supposedly '2 star' hotel on Google.

The breakfast didn't have a lot of choice but it was still lovely and the breakfast staff who made coffees were really friendly too! The breakfast mainly consisted of cakes + pastries and then there was some salami and cheese too with bread. Some of the decor was dated and the fridges were outside the rooms but overall it was a brilliant stay that really made our time in Sorrento better.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Desiree. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. I appreciated the local recommendations they shared and the breakfast they provided. It was pleasant to be situated outside of the main town but close enough to walk to and enjoy the views along the way. The views from the hotel was especially beautiful (from our room - garden view, the lobby, and the rooftop) and great value for money. The private beach including the walk was a bonus.

It would help to have alternative instructions from the hotel on how to get there by public transportation for those that may need it before checking in. It would even be better to provide a shuttle service.

Our room was changed to one with easier access, due to my mum's poor eyesight. The man on reception was very understanding and gave us a really light, spacious room. The breakfast was outstanding- loads of vegan options, including house-made cakes and plant-based cheese.

The beach access was further than expected, down in a very long elevator then a walk through a small, green area. The path was overgrown and the beach was rather disappointing- small and full of shingle. The car park is very tight. The walk into Sorrento takes around 15-20 minutes, but is along a main road which can get very busy.

The place is amazing with a very unique location. Very close from Sorrento city center but in the same time directly on the sea front. View is stunning from terrasse of hotel and bedroom. You can enjoy city activities and have a swim and sun bedding in the private beach the same day. Staff amazingly nice and helpful. Delicious homemade cakes and a fabulous lady, Annamaria, in charge of breakfast making your day starting with joy. I highly recommend the place.

Hotel is a bit noisy in the morning making difficult to sleep between 7am and 9am.
