Wonderful location, amazing views, great private beach, views onto wooded area. Rooftop terrace. Darting lizards in the sunshine on the paths. Welcoming staff, very accommodating. Pavement all the way from the property to town. Spacious family room. Delicious breakfast including freshly baked cakes - orange my favourite! Anna was a wonderful breakfast host.

The staff were very good and always went out of their way to help , building a little tired but fitted our purpose as we were out and about most days

We had an absolutely wonderful stay – this hotel is a true gem! It’s simple but charming, located about 1 km from central Sorrento, and absolutely perfect for a relaxing visit. Loved that we had a balcony towards the garden and the birds were singing. The staff were incredibly helpful, but a special thank you goes to Annamaria, who made our mornings something to look forward to. With a sparkle in her eye and a heart full of kindness, she took care of every guest and turned breakfast into a true experience. And what a fantastic breakfast she served – fresh, delicious, and made with love! Annamaria is a star who makes sure everyone feels welcome and at home. We warmly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

- private beach with discount for bed usage - walking distance to main city (bit of a walk but my partner and I love walking) - nice breakfast

- no lift, we were on the bottom floor and my poor old husband had to carry the bags down 3 flights of stairs - shower water went everywhere, and water pressure is intercepted by toilet flushes, so if you have a cold shower and someone flushes the toilet, you get a burst of hot water and was uncomfortable - noisy guests with paper thin walls, could hear the persons tv on in the room next to us - an upgrade of the hotel would be good, as it was built in the 60s

The hotel was excellent. Check in was very easy and quick. The front desk staff was very polite, kind and helpful, especially the gentleman who gave us so much information about visiting Capri. Our room was cleaned and the beds were made every day. The cleanliness was exceptional. However, the star of the hotel is Anna Maria, the woman who prepared and serves breakfast every morning. What a wonderful human being. Warm, kind, happy, hard working....we would come back just to see her again. The location of the hotel is also excellent. It sits on a beautiful, tree covered cliff. There is a private beach and there is a beautiful waterfall visible from the breakfast room. It is only a little bit out of town but the walk is very easy and scenic and only takes about 15 minutes. We would definitely come back again.

There could have been a mirror in the room. The only mirror was in the bathroom. There could also have been a shelf in the shower to place your shampoo and soap. These are very minor points. The hotel was wonderful!

This was the second time that we stayed at this hotel, as we were very happy with our stay a couple of years ago. The hotel sits on a cliff, with stunning views of Mt Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples from it's terrace. A bit of an uphill walk from the center , but it offers some spectacular views so it's worth the effort. The hotel is older, but the hallways look to be recently decorated with beautiful Italian tiles. The room was comfy and it offered all necessities. A kettle for coffee was on the hallway, but we didn't use it. On the hallway also a small fridge, which is very convenient. Breakfast generous and tasty as always.

The hotel is beautifully located-the view of the bay from the "balcony" is stunning. Breakfasts are excellent and very varied. The reception staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel offers access to a private beach-although it's rocky, it is very scenic. (Unfortunately, sunbeds and umbrellas come at an extra cost and are rather expensive). The path from the hotel to the beach is truly picturesque- it feels like walking through a jungle.

The hotel itself is a bit dated, and a small renovation- especially in the bathrooms- would be a welcome improvement.

We choose Hotel Desiree because we need a place with parking at the same time access to a beach while in Sorrento. Parking is free and secure. Analisa, the front desk staff made our check in seamless, easy and efficient. She provided us helpful information for our tour around the city and to Capri. She is warm and welcoming, great first impression.

They have a very good breakfast selection. We love Anna Margarita who makes our cappuccino daily and makes our stay an enjoyable one. The beach access is a bonus, a good experience, with a wonderful view and enchanting little bay.

Beautiful spacious room for a family of 4. It was hot when we stayed and the room has excellent air conditioning. A beautiful walk down to the beach from the hotel - or you have the option to take the lift down to the beach. Friendly, helpful hosts. Beautiful rooftop for a drink each evening. Incredible views. Not far to walk into Sorrento, or it's easy take the bus from the bus stop down the road. Hosts were happy to book a taxi for us when we needed it. Breakfast each morning was delicious. We loved our 3 nights here.

The personal on the reception and in the breakfast room is super friendly and really care that you have your best time in there hotel. Lift to the private beach is a great option, I got swimming experience out of the season alone on the beach with 4 minutes way from my room(during the season you will have to pay for the beach). You have view on a whole Sorrento from the neighborhood. Most likely you will have view on the sea from your room. You have roof of the hotel open and available to hang out there.

No dinner option, so every time you would like to eat you have to go 15-25 minutes to the city and back along the noisy road with a lot of cars, but with beautiful views.
