The setting is stunning. Best views I found of the area (especially from the sun terraces, these are ridiculously beautiful; except without umbrellas so fairly unusable). The gardens are divine too and the position of the villa is perfect for the town and the funicular. Breakfast is nice, but simple, and they work hard to drive away the wasps which are everywhere in Sicily in summer. The staff are all very helpful, kind and friendly, and went out of their way to help me with anything I needed. I stayed in the single room with a Mountain View - my terrace was bigger than the room! The room was sufficient for one person, though I did get bruises on my leg from walking into the bed corner repeatedly as the space between the bed and the wall is very small. Great value for the price though.

There was very weak shower pressure in the single room, and in the afternoon the water was also cold (not the end of the world in Sicilian heat, but some travellers may wish to know this). Also, because it’s a house you can hear everything. I arrived to an operatic performance in one room at 1am, and in the morning you can hear everyone in the house speaking, moving about etc. The staff were cautious to be as quiet as possible but you’ll need ear plugs if you want to sleep through. I did this and found it was perfectly fine. There are so many perks to this place it really was a minor issue for me. I also used an eye mask to keep the aircon out of my eyes as in the small room it blows right at the bed.

The location was great . Close to the chair lift . Bustops and a short walk to all the restaurants and shops . The hotel was quirky and cute . A lovely garden and a homely feel . You can choose to have breakfast in the garden. At a small cost . The bed was comfy and the little balcony had a lovely view. Air con was effective. The owners were very helpful, courteous and thoughtful with required information . There was a service to the beach that had a beachclub called la dolce vita which provided pick up and return including 2 beach chairs and umbrella at 25 Euros for 2 people . The nightly rate seemed reasonable for what you got .

There was no fridge in the room and limited access points for charging devices .

Basic but clean and comfortable, had everything I needed. Especially loved the balcony to my room and the location was perfect, walking distance to shops, restaurants, many of the sights etc. Also very close to the cable car stop that can take you down to the beach. Overall my stay was good value for money. Breakfast was great and good value, enough choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts, juice, cakes and pastries etc. and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, sitting out in the pretty courtyard with a coffee...bliss. The owners were friendly and helpful. I also loved the quirky rustic decor, so much eclectic furniture, felt very traditional. As a solo female traveler I was very happy here and would return!

This was not an issue for me, but just be aware there are steps up to the property. Unsurprising as the area is mountainous! But maybe worth considering if you want something more accessible or have a lot of luggage.

I recently stayed at Hotel Villa Nettuno in Taormina, Sicily, for 12 nights, and it was a delightful experience. This charming boutique hotel is managed by two brothers, who along with their staff, make every effort to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. The three staff members—Antonella, Luisa, and Milena—are exceptional, always attentive and ready to assist with any needs. The hotel's location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk to the cable car and a 10-minute walk to the main pedestrian street, Corso Umberto, and the bus station that takes you to the beach. The property is very clean and well-maintained, and it boasts a spacious terrace with a stunning view where breakfast is served and where you can relax in the evening. The hospitality here is outstanding. Both the managers and the staff are incredibly helpful, always willing to provide guidance and recommendations for tourist destinations. If you're planning a trip to Taormina, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Villa Nettuno for its excellent service, convenient location, and beautiful ambiance.

A welcoming, family-run hotel with one of the best views in all of Taormina, over beaches, cliffs, coves and countryside. Peaceful and serene but just two minutes by foot to the heart of the town and one minute to the bus station and cable car. Basic rooms but immaculately clean and with air con/heater and with firm but comfy beds. Staggeringly beautiful private gardens for wandering and eating a simple but tasty (and very cheap) breakfast, with delicious cappuccino. Appearances by cute family pet Jackawawa and a couple of cats brought a lot of amusement.

This hotel in the stunning coastal town of Taormina truly lives up to its name as a villa. The entrance is charming, with stone steps leading through an old archway, surrounded by flowers and plants, creating a lovely first impression. The interior is filled with antique and historical pieces, giving the feeling of stepping back in time to a place rich with curiosities passed down through generations. The owner was wonderfully friendly, calm, and helpful, making us feel very welcome. I highly recommend booking the parking service—driving and parking in Taormina can be tricky with all its ups and downs, and we were lucky there was still a spot available. We also opted for breakfast at the villa, which was a great decision. Served in their beautiful garden with stunning seaside views, it was a delightful start to the day.

The room was a bit more sober and old-fashioned compared to the rest of the villa's opulent interior. That said, this was exactly what we loved about it, as it added to the charm and authenticity of the villa, and the room was very clean and had a little fridge, which was handy. However, if you prefer more modern accommodations, it might feel outdated.

I loved the location, a short walk from the bus station and from Corso Umberto with beautiful views, the building and decor of an earlier era, breakfast in the dining room when it rained or in the garden were lovely experiences and the staff who were friendly and helpful. I was concerned that a single room might be very small but it didn't feel too small at all. Mine had doors that opened on to a private terrace about the same size as my room with views up the mountain. I really enjoyed this hotel.

The location is perfect. Close to the bus terminal and the cable car. We had a room on the last floor with an amazing terrace and view over the sea. The room is quite spacious, the AC worked like a charm. Breakfast is served in a beautiful garden, the options are mostly sweet and for me personally it was enough. I am very glad I booked this hotel and I will gladly return here if I come again to Taormina.

The only downsize is that you can hear the cars and all the noise outside (it didn't prevent us from sleeping and it didn't last until late in the evening). We also had an issue with flushing the toilet (the button wouldn't work) but it was solved quickly.

Amazing place. Great Italian ambiance. Views from Balcony are worth $$$. The garden is beautiful. Staff are so kind and helpful. Place is super clean with hotel name embroidered on bed sheets. Best hotel we stayed in Italy for only 100E a night. Everything is close 5 minute walk to the cable car to beach. 5 minutes to main town square. So glad we chose this place. Only area for improvement is breakfast. It’s only 6E but very simple. Coffee is not good. Sweet rolls so so and some jogurt. We only ate once and chose to have breakfast in area cafes.

Nothing.

First of all our host was very kind and helpful, we even received a map with the main tourist spots and other useful information for our stay in Taormina. The house, dating back to around 1800 was absolutely impressive, imbued with good taste , with a noble air and yet adapted to all the necessities we enjoy today. The superb garden where breakfast was served and where you could spend after meals or evenings impressed us. The balcony with a view of the sea and to a part of the city was a dream. The fact that we were able to park the car in a private parking lot made us feel safe. The villa is very close to the city center which was a great advantage. Thank you for three wonderful days at Villa Nettuno!
