The location is excellent, a few minutes walk to the entrance to Taormina, just down from the funicular which takes you to the beach and just up from the central bus station. I was there for 2 1/2 weeks and it was definitely a home away from home. They gave me a room with a huge terrace, sun beds and a table. There was also a lovely garden, where breakfast and happy hour were. The breakfast was delicious! Freshly cooked Mediterranean vegetables, cheeses, meats, bread and the usual cereals. The highlight was the home-made cannoli.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property

The hotel exceeded our expectations, we booked a room with a terrace and I am so glad we did! The view was exceptional and we watched the sunrise on our last day. We were on the top floor and luckily they had a lift. The room was very clean and housekeeping swapped out dirty towels and made our bed when we were out for the day, we appreciated this. The bed was very comfy! Breakfast also exceeded our expectations, we particularly liked the pastries:) The staff were more than accommodating, I asked for a different selection of tea bags for my room (I'm English so like my English breakfast tea) and the staff member at the desk took me into the breakfast room and let me choose what I wanted, Thank You! I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great location to visit the town, or take a cable car down to the beach. The bus station where you can be taken to Catania Airport is on the same road too. It has an amazing garden space to sit and have breakfast in the morning, with views of Taormina.

Best location in Taormina. The room was perfect and had amazing views. What a sunrise from this hotel ! The breakfast was magnificent and the service was exceptional. The hotel does not offer parking but you will be directed down the road where you can park within 100 meters from the property after you unload. This parking lot is small but you can park and pay for your days there and you can leave and return with no problem. I emphasize on the location as you are away from the crazy crowds but you are within a short walk from Porta Messina which is one of the entrances into the main area of town and Corso Umberto. This is perfect as you can everything within a short walk from there.

The location is excellent—just steps from the cable car and less than a 10-minute walk to the old town. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit dated and not quite as lovely as in the photos, but the sea view from the balcony was beautiful. The hotel itself is cute and eye-catching. Breakfast was great, with plenty of food and drink options. The lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. Of the two restaurant staff, the gentleman with the apron was very kind and friendly, while the taller one was a bit rude. Overall, everything was good—but a bit overpriced.

Parking in Taormina is quite difficult. We tried to find a cheaper option but couldn’t find any available spaces, so we ended up using the partnered parking nearby. It’s very close to the hotel and costs €30 per day.

We stayed two years ago at this charming hotel and loved it so much we returned with our family this time!. It oozes Italian charm - inside and out and the outside courtyard garden is a heavenly escape from the crowds in the town. Its located a 5 min walk from the Corso Umberto - which was perfect. It is also in the same street that has the bus terminal and the cable car down to the beach area - very convenient. There are also plenty of fabulous restaurants in the street if you don't wish to battle the crowds in the town for dinner. The staff were very obliging organising, drivers, laundry or giving advice for activities. The breakfast was a buffet of eggs, toast, continental foods, cakes and cereal and could be eaten in the lovely courtyard or on the terrace overlooking the beautiful beach view. We highly recommend this hotel and is great value for money!

Having stayed two years ago, I noticed that the hotel appeared a little more "tired' than last time - this was only in regards to the courtyard and external parts of the building.

This is a great hotel with wonderful staff who made us feel really welcome and looked after. On arrival, after a long journey, the manager greeted us with some cold drinks. He also made a personal reservation for us at a really good restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable and the views of the bay were amazing both from our bedroom window and the terrace dining area. The breakfast was abundant and offered a whole variety of freshly prepared food from scrambled eggs and ham to fresh fruit, yoghurt, grilled vegetables, cheese and pastries.

This is a very beautiful and traditional hotel. The staff is super friendly, they will make your day! Breakfast is good, they will provide you with everything you need; good coffee and a friendly smile. The beds were really nice and comfy. The garden and terrace is really nice and pretty, but we had rain when we were there (early season), so we couldn't use it. They keep the room and bathroom super, super clean. If you have the chance, book this cosy hotel.

It's a bit noisy, inside and outside. It is a beautiful old building, we loved it, but this means you hear things. For us it was doable and no problem.

We loved our stay here. The room was good, great view and cleaning was very efficient. The location is excellent - very close to the centre but two minutes walk away, so nice to be away from the busyness. Also very good location for the cable car. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. One day we made use of the partner private beaches, which included transfer from the hotel, and we’d highly recommend

Fantastic stay at La Pensione Svizzera! Location is incredible, staff very friendly and facilities were great. The breakfast is amazing, a lot of local, home cooked produce and pastries, eggs etc to set you up for the day! Rooms are specious and we were lucky enough to get a large balcony which came in really handy.

The internals are loud, you can hear a lot of door slamming, cleaners etc from early in the day. I would certainly recommend bringing ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper or want to have a lie in!

This is a lovely hotel, well placed for the Taormina town centre but just far away to be quiet. Very good service at breakfast and the best of the four hotels we stayed at in Sicily. What really stood out was the effort the two lovely receptionists put in to organising an Etna trip for us and arrangement a complicated string of connections for get us to Lipari the same day. This involved liaising with the tour company, a taxi driver and even loading our bags into the taxi while we were on our excursion. Thanks to them, everything went well and we arrived in Lipari in time for supper! A lovely hotel and first rate staff, I would recommend to anyone and I am sure we will stay here again.
