We stayed for 4 nights from 29th June to 3rd July and had a fantastic time. Our room was so lovely & airy with a beautiful balcony at the side of the hotel. Very clean & decor was lovely too. The pool area was in a prime position with fantastic views out to sea. The staff were so very helpful with any queries we had. Lots of good recommendations from them regarding the local areas. They were so friendly & helpful - particularly Deanna who was always so cheery & enthusiastic & a huge credit to the hotel. Her reception colleagues were also very helpful & friendly. Shout out to Ivana, Alex, Elisia & Alessandro who were so friendly & engaging but all the staff were lovely.

It was amazing! The hotel is fabulous, within walking distance from the center of Taormina. The surroundings are beautiful, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the bed sheets simply the best! You must try St. George Restaurant by Heinz Beck, the only 2-Michelin-starred restaurant in Taormina! What an experience! Each dish was carefully created and the flavors were just wow! And the staff — the staff makes it all! Thank you to all the personnel for the care you offer to each guest, for the smiles, and for your professionalism. Diana, you have my heart! Thank you for making our 10th wedding anniversary an unforgettable experience!

Staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble … location is perfect for access to the town as literally a 2 minute walk and the cable car to the beach 5 minutes. Views from hotel are amazing.

The images on website imply the grounds are huge - they are not and the swimming pool is small. Be careful with room choice as not all have views.

Breakfast is very good especially if you order one of the custom options at no cost, view from the Infinity pool North along the coast towards Messina was spectacular, staff was courteous and helpful, bed and bed linen were very very good,

We had flooding in the bathroom after every shower due to a glass door seal which took two days to get repaired but with towels it was really no inconvenience, just annoying. The air conditioner shut off one night apparently because we forgot to fully close the patio door.... A cool system but it wasn't cool by 6:00 in the morning. 😉 We were leaving early and I wanted to pay my bill the night before but their system did not allow it. No big deal but just curious. My wife was surprised there was no spa.

The location is just steps from the main shopping/dining street in Taormina. The rooftop glass enclosed dining room is to die for. Staff was exceptional, friendly and went out of their way to make sure every need was met. Valentina in the dining room was a standout.

The pool could use a scrub. Some algae on the tile...didn't expect that from such a beautiful, five-star property.

Perfect location, walk to the city center. Staff was excellent and very accommodating. View from the pool and grounds was spectacular overlooking the water. Although we did not have an ocean view our room had a large patio overlooking the grounds.Cannot wait to go back.

Nothing to not like. Only suggestion is repair the several small missing tiles in the pool

The Ashbee is a true sanctuary from the hustle of the tourist beaten pavements of Taormina. From the moment the gates closed behind the car when we arrived to the time we drove out three days later to our next destination, we enjoyed impeccable service, peace in the gardens and pool, remarkable food and a place to exhale and relax. This is a truly fine boutique hotel with a Michelin star restaurant that transports you back to a time of quiet quality and premium service. No request was too much trouble. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pool has views down the cliff over the beaches up the coast. If you want to visit the beaches, the gondala down is 5 minutes walk away. Something to note, the Michelin star restaurant is in itself a reason to come to Taormina. They offer a 5 or 7 course degustation or you can order off the menu - however ordering off the menu would be to deny yourself the full spectrum of "food as art" that is prepared here. I can't do justice to the quality of the food in this review, but I would rate it as among the finest food I have enjoyed at a Michelin restaurant. They only set up for a small capacity seating, something like 8 tables - this means you must book in advance or risk being disappointed. If you can't get a booking for your stay, change the dates of your stay - it's that good. The rooms are excellent - large, comfortable, all the required tech executed in a style in keeping with the property. Housekeeping was excellent. We enjoyed a large private terrace with a view back to the village - perfect for an evening of room service (this too was superb quality food and drink). There are plenty of staff, they remember your name, and and do everything they can to make the stay your most memorable experience. Yes, this is a very expensive hotel by comparison to other hotels in Taormina, but at no point did I feel it was bad value or that I was being taken advantage of.

The Ashbee could make better use of their magnificent inside lounge area for food and drinks. That's all. I really can't ask for more, our stay was outstanding in all respects.

Loved everything!! Breakfast was perfect, made fresh and to order as well as some items on the buffet. Staff were so lovely!! Really made you feel welcome and remembered you as it is only a small boutique hotel. Perfect number of beds by the pool also.

Nothing! If i had one minor comment it would be that the pool tiles need fixing.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. Its a stunning property in a brilliant position. The staff were exceptional and couldnt do enough both at reception and in the restaurants.

We really loved the hotel, but it would be great if they created an a la carte restaurant on the roof terrace for the evenings.
