We really liked our stay. Room, matress, pillow are very comfy, the breakfast was the best we had in Sicily in our stays in 4 different hotels. Breakfast offered eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, 2 types of nuts, cereal, juice, fruits. Parking is 20 eur per night, working till 8pm so need to check in with the car by 8pm, otherwise you still can park but in a more remote parking lot and get back from there by some shuttle bus. Great view from the room. Reception works 24*7.

Nothing to complain about

Great location. Private and central. Corsa Umberto 3/4 minute walk. Sea view room with ample sunny terrace on top floor was lovely. Fantastic choice buffet breakfast couldn’t be faulted with plenty for everyone to suit every taste. Restaurant fare of an evening was very pleasant and tasty offering lovely choices not found else where and surprisingly very reasonably priced. Pool with sea view was a real bonus and always never too busy that we could not get a lounger.

The location is excellent — close to the cable car and the city center, with everything within walking distance. The room was clean and had a lovely balcony with a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The staff were kind and helpful, especially Ivana, who was incredibly warm, professional, and went out of her way to assist us.

The soundproofing in the room wasn’t ideal; we could sometimes hear people in the hallway at night. The bathroom felt a bit outdated and the hot water pressure fluctuated occasionally. Wi-Fi signal was weak in the room and could use some improvement.

This hotel is Top Notch in every way. The location is very close to historic Taormina and yet removed just enough from the noisy Center to make it very quiet at night and very convenient for walking to the Center of town. Our view from the 5th floor Terrace was spectacular. The room was smallish by Canadian standards, but good size by Italian standards, and very adequate for a five night stay, very clean and had all necessary amenities. The infinity pool on the second floor of the hotel is beautiful, and it has an amazing view of the Strait of Messina . The service was very professional and Perfect by all staff members. A few names are worth mentioning. At the front desk Francesco, Rosario and Ivana did everything necessary to make our stay at the hotel perfect. In the restaurant Andra, Nancy, Thomas, and Nino, the chef, made sure that we had everything we needed, including personalized menu for me and my wife when we made requests for food that was not on the menu. This is amazing service and is worth mentioning on this review. The cleaning lady, whose name I cannot recall, was very accommodating, and easily agreed to any request that we made regarding the cleaning of the room, and the amenities in it. Overall, I would rate Splendid Hotel Taormina as a top-notch outstanding hotel that I would recommend to anybody who is traveling to Taormina.

There is nothing not to like about this hotel.

We stayed in a very nice room with a magnificent view of the sea. The location is very central, with easy access to all the restaurants, shops, and the cable car down to Isola Bella. Breakfast was excellent, and one evening we had dinner at Kairos, the hotel's restaurant, which was very good. The staff was exceptionally friendly. I would always recommend the Splendid Hotel.

Personally, I found the rather loud music by the poolside quite irritating. I want to be able to fully relax without having to listen to annoying pop/rock/dance music. If people want to listen to music, most have it on their phones. I wanted to listen to podcasts myself, but it was barely possible because of the loud music.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Only 5 minutes walk to the main street and close to a supermarket too. We had a terrace with a view and it was a fantastic way to wake up and spend your evenings. Breakfast was varied with plenty of options and a fantastic view. Staff even made proper coffees if requested. Great way to start the day. The pool was also a nice option. Great views again though a little squished at times. Bathroom was really clean and modern with a fantastic showerhead! An excellent 4 star option.

Nothing really but the rooms are a little small but this is common throughout Europe. Terrace with view helps!

The location was excellent although navigating Taormina with google maps is challenging. We got lost going up and coming down. The breakfast was very good the pool was warm and the staff were all lovely. The views from the hotel were amazing although I thought it would be frontline but it wasnt. We ate in the restaurant for lunch one day and it was the best meal we had during our stay in sicily.

We booked a deluxe room, we had a lovely balcony with a view of the coastline which was great as long as you didnt look down at the scruffy buildings below. The furniture on the balcony could have been better, 2 pastic chairs and 2 deckchairs. the room was very small and functional as was the bathroom. The hotel has had a refurb and everything is clean and bright but not very stylish

The location was excellent less than a five minute walk to the old town. Breakfast room was really nice with a nice view lovely pool area. Room was modern and nice and every day was cleaned so well. Staff were really nice and friendly and reception staff most helpful.

Breakfast was good. The only thing I really did not like was that they had an à la cart option that you had to pay seven or €8 for a omelette. I have never stayed in a hotel that you had to pay an additional fee for an omelette or poached eggs. The Hotel is expensive and I don’t think they should be requesting additional charges for these type of items. The pool bar was quite expensive. €10 for a glass of Prosecco. Also no kettle in the room or do not provide bottles of water any other Hotel I’ve stayed in Europe always had these extra little things in which are really nice.

Stylish. Great restaurant - abundant choice for breakfast, lovely staff. Wonderful food at night (well worth it). Great location - 5 minutes to main shopping street, under 10 to Teatro Antico and same to bus station. Staff friendly and helpful. A BIG plus for me were the curtains- really blocked out the light. Overall it was good value for money.

Overall, it was good value for money but a few things are a bit under par. Sound proofing leaves something to be desired! Towels thin and could be bigger. Very odd bed making - we slept on a sheet on top of the mattress (not so comfortable - not the best mattress). In the morning we found the mattress protector on top of the top sheet together with the quilt making a sandwich with another sheet on top. So mattress, sheet, sheet, mattress protector, quilt and another sheet. We remade it with the protector where it should be BUT the quilt was too small for the bed. I had the impression that money is being spent on renovations (looking very stylish) but the eye has been taken off the ball a bit on some basic things.

Large room and very clean property. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Front desk staff were extremely kind and helpful. The rooftop pool looks pretty although it was unfortunately too cold outside for us to use. The breakfast buffet was very good with sliced meats, some cheeses, an assortment of pastries and cakes, and a few hot offerings (that were not hot). Location was good. Easy to get to everything but the street was not busy. Was a good dog walking street. Excellent value - got a lot more than we paid for it.

The dog friendly room felt like an afterthought at the bottom of a corridor in between floors. There was no view, just a small interior courtyard. We arrived by car and if there hadn't been any space in front of the hotel when we arrived (space available for about three cars), I don't know where we would have put the car to unload. But this is a problem in all of Taormina. The parking is valet and costs an extra $20 that you pay to the valet and not to the hotel. There is also an extra city tax of 8 Euros.
