From the moment we arrived at Hotel Soleado we were made to feel so welcome by the Stracuzzi family: nothing was too much trouble! We were really blown away by their friendly and professional service. The hotel is a short walk from the main thoroughfares which meant that it was near to the hustle and bustle, whilst still being lovely and quiet in the evenings. The pool was a fantastic respite from the Mediterranean heat and provided a lovely view of the sea. You can arrange a variety of excursions from reception. We chose to use their service to go to the beach for the day. We chose one of the set times to be picked up by the taxi and were chauffeured down to Mazzeo beach. For 20E each you get the taxi there and back, welcome drinks, sunbed and umbrella. We liked it so much we went a second time. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard everyday and the communal areas were spotless. We very much recommend Hotel Soleado and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when we return to Taormina. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Car parking was arranged as a payable extra, and this was very welcome as parking is so difficult in Taormina. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. The pool was clean and there were plenty of sun beds. There was a good continental breakfast which could be eaten indoors or on the terrace. The hotel is in a quiet area out of the centre, but within easy walking distance.

We had a room alongside the pool which was nice but there were over 50 steps down from reception to the room. Not a particular problem for us but anyone without full mobility should check their room location carefully. Most (maybe all?) of the rooms are located around the small pool area; this made the room a little less private than it would otherwise have been.

I travelled here with my partner in May and had the most amazing week! This family fun hotel had the best view of the sea from our large terrace. The hotel and room was absolutely spotless with all of the facilities we needed. Roberto and his family went out of their way to ensure our stay was a 5 star experience. The family lovingly crafted us a hand made baby girl gift as my partner is expecting in two months which was so thoughtful. The hotel is a 10 min walk to the shops and restaurants with a weekly local opera performance at the end of road. We are already looking to return next year as we felt so at home and couldn’t fault anything. Thank you so much to Roberto and his family. We will see you next year.

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Soleado it was like visiting friends, a warm friendly welcome by Roberto, Rosetta, Roberta, Federica & Giovanni awaited us and they did everything they could to make our stay a memorable one. We ejoyed it so much that we didn't want to leave. The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of beautiful Taromina. Due to the towns location it would remind you of Positano before it became the must see destination that it is today. A delicious and varied breakfast is served daily in the a traditional style rom with views of Taromina. The hotel also has a pool and a small bar that serves a selection of drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices. The rooms are generous in size with a balcony and a very large bathroom. The only thing that we didn't like is the fact that this beautiful great value for money Hotel that is tucked away in a quiet side street of Taromina is only listed as a 2 Star and could easily qualify and compete with a 3 Star Hotel, in our opinion.

This is one of the friendliest hotel that we have ever stayed in. We have just returned after staying for one week. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were greeted every day with massive smiles and warm welcomes from the staff. Our room was just perfect. We stayed in a sea view room. Our views were amazing from our bed. The balcony was huge. The bathroom was very modern, with a very powerful shower with good water temperatures. There is a fridge in the room, not necessarily the coldest but adequate regardless. Walls are quite thin, so you can hear inconsiderate neighbours at night, crashing and banging. Breakfast was superb and excellent quality. Pastries were delicious. Cappuccino was lovely. Pool area was lovely. Pool towels available which you could keep for your whole stay. The bar provided very reasonably priced drinks at night. The location was excellent, just a nice 10-minute walk to the town and supermarket. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Do not be put off by the star rating, I would class the staff as 5 star. They also gave me beautiful Pastries at breakfast for my birthday, very much appreciated. Thank you, Hotel Soleado. You are certainly excellent with great staff.

My only negative is the hairdryer. It was a total chore using it every day. I gave up using it and leaving my hair to dry naturally.

The location couldn't be better – situated just a short walk from the charming historic center of Taormina. It was ideal for leisurely strolls, with restaurants, shops, and stunning viewpoints all within easy reach. We especially appreciated how convenient it was without being noisy or crowded. In short, Hotel Soleado offers incredible value, a fantastic location, and a level of personal service that makes you feel like a truly valued guest. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taormina – especially if you're looking for a warm welcome and a memorable experience.

Loved the location and the hotel. Rooms were a good size and kept very clean. Very comfy beds. The staff were lovely and always helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. There are some steps but anyone with a reasonable level of fitness will be absolutely fine! The pool area was nice with comfy sun loungers and also kept clean and tidy.

I found it so frustrating that breakfast wasn’t served until 8am everyday. We wake early (6ish even on holiday) so was annoying to have to wait 2 hours for breakfast! Also the lack of tea or coffee making facilities in the room is odd for a hotel so we couldn’t even make a coffee whilst waiting. I also like a herbal tea at bedtime which I couldn’t do. I also didn’t have a safe in my room which is unusual.

The service is absolutely first class. Hotel Soleado is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. This is a family run business & it is obvious that they really care about their customers. The family are incredibly helpful & can’t do enough for you in order to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The hotel is situated in a quiet area on the hillside, but only 5 minutes walk from the main high street and about 15 mins walk from the bus station. We loved the traditional style of the hotel and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We were fortunate to have a room with a terrace, we loved to sit out in the early morning or evening and soak up the view. The room itself was large and had a newly refurbished bathroom - again an excellent size. It was great to have a lovely pool area too, most welcome to have a cool dip after a busy outing. We particularly enjoyed visiting the nearby beach club at Mazzaro, Letojanni called Playa Soleluna. It only costs €15pp to access the beach club and this includes private transport to and from the beach club & rental of sunbeds and unbrellas. Very good value compared to some of the beach clubs in Taormina and with the bonus of door to door service. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel & hope to stay again.

Very good value for money - clean and comfortable accommodation, healthy breakfast, friendly hosts.

We did not know that there was no street parking available at any time (residents only) so we had limited use of our rented car (keys had to be handed in and could not be retrieved before 8am. ) Our outbound flight was at 6:00 so we had to leave at least one day earlier and book other accommodation. There is other parking available though in a parking garage but we did not fully grasp all the implications of the parking situation.

Had an amazing 5 night holiday here and loved every second. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, polite and attentive, and nothing was too much. The breakfast was fresh, homemade and extremely delicious with a mix of traditional Italian dishes and homemade pastries, with a beautiful vista out of the breakfast window. The pool was perfect with plenty of space, we often had it to ourselves in the second week of July and was a lovely sun spot! The room was basic but more than comfortable and spotlessly clean with a modern bathroom. It was so clean that I walked face first into the shower door thinking it was open when we arrived (true story)! The location was less than a 5 minute from the main street, and en route was a small supermarket which was very very convenient and had everything you could need. The hotel was also away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town which was lovely. Honestly could not recommend enough, lovely staff, clean and well looked after room, beautiful pool and ideal location. We hope you have as lovely a stay as we did :)
