We stayed here late October and LOVED our stay! Firstly the view - WOW! The breakfast was great, the bed was comfy, the staff were lovely and accommodating. It was great to cool down in the pool on a hot day, especially if you take the stairs back up to the villa from town like we did. The view of Mt Etna when the clouds move away is stunning!

I recently stayed at Villa Le Terrazze Charming Rooms with my partner for a mini break. I cannot rate the hotel highly enough- the communication from the hotel was excellent from the moment we booked, and every member of staff we met was friendly, helpful and check-in was quick and easy. It's in a great location- an hour's drive from Catania airport, 10 minutes from Taormina, and a 15/20 minute walk from Taormina Castle and Chiesa Madonna della Rocca. The hotel is spread out over several floors, and while there's no lift we were offered help several times to carry bags to our room. When we were shown to our room, we were given a quick tour of the pool, sun terrace, and where breakfast would be served. We were also given directions of the short cut to walk into Taormina itself (roughly 10 minute walk away via some steps). The hotel Is absolutely stunning. Everywhere is impeccably clean, recently renovated and everywhere you look were well cared for flowers and plants in terracotta pots, adding charm to what is an already stunning location. Our room was modern, had a huge comfortable bed, a charming balcony with an amazing view of Etna, complimentary water, air conditioning and was perfectly set up for anyone with reduced mobility (grab rails, step-free access shower, adjustable bathroom mirror etc). There were also Ortigia toiletries along with the complementary toothbrushes/vanity set etc. Everything has just been really well thought through. Breakfast is served from 8-10am, and a snack bar from 12-3pm. We didn't use the snack bar, but breakfast had a great continental selection, with several kinds of tea, alternative milks and fresh coffee. The team who run the restaurant are great, very friendly and couldn't do more to help. I had my birthday while I was away, and they made a cake for me on the day, which was absolutely delicious and very thoughtful (pic included).

There is nothing that could improve

The views from the property were amazing! The breakfast was great quality with plenty of choice. The hotel staff were all amazing people and extremely helpful. They couldn't do enough to help us and even booked taxi's, tables at other restaurants in the area for guests etc. The swimming pool and surrounding area was a great place to relax and take in the amazing views! The hotel is a lovely place.

The only thing to be aware of with this hotel is that it is located at the top of Taormina which requires a 15 minute walk consisting of at least 270 steps to reach the attractions in the centre. There are buses, but we often found them to be too infrequent to schedule, and taxis are expensive so we would walk into and back from the centre. Also bear in mind that the hotel is set on many floors with no lift so walking up stairs is required there too .

View was breathtaking Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was light and food fresh Pool peaceful with a snackbar and bigger than than expected with comfy lounge chairs. Accommodation would suit couple or solo travellers best. No car required as bus outside the door, but if you have a car, make sure you contact the property in advance to reserve one of their gated spaces. Highly recommend for your trip to Taormina.

The property was very nice with a stunning view of mount Etna and Taormina. Our room was beautifully decorated with Sicilian ceramics and other pieces of art- which was a nice touch. The room was very spacious and we loved the outdoor space attached to our room. The staff were WONDERFUL- helpful, friendly, and accommodating.

It is a little far when walking from Taormina ( which we knew ahead of time). Walking down was easy ( if you take the steps, not the road) but walking back up would be daunting in the heat. We relied on taxis to get us back up the hill (15-20 euro)

Wonderful apartments, with the most amazing view of Taormina and Etna. Staff were all lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was the perfect start to every day. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

The only minor issue would be the steps up from the town. But we knew about this in advance, and we are fit and well and were prepared for the challenge. However, there are buses/taxis from the town if you don't fancy the steps. Please don't let this dissuade you from booking, it's definitely worth it

Amazing view from suite room number 2, very spacious room with all amenities, huge terrace with view, very quiet in the evenings . Location is good for the scenery, needs some effort of steps down and up to go in to the central taormina but acceptable and you always have choices of mass transport and taxi . Very friendly and supportive staff . All their recommendations about tours, restaurant and beaches were great indeed

At times of congestion at receiption , things got little challenged but nothing to complain about. Beyond that really nothing negative.

Incredible view of Etna, the city, the sea, and the coastline. Amazing! Giovanni and Loris welcomed us to the property. Giovanni made sure we got parked properly and took care of luggage while Loris explained the layout of the property and local sites. Poolside Prosecco’s after a mid-morning walk on Etna was heavenly. Breakfast had a lot (LOT) of delicious choices. So good.

The stairs? The property is high above the city near the Castle of the Saracens. That’s why the view is so good. My wife and I are in our late 60’s and not in great shape, but we walked the sites and the main street and didn’t die. Just take things at your own pace and bring enough cash for a taxi in case you over extend

An amazing location with individual balcony with amazing views. Staff was excellent! Good breakfast.

The drive to the hotel was terrifying. We were a walk to town, which was fine but also terrifying due to Cars, motorbikes and switchback roads. The bed was too soft and our air conditioning didn’t work at all. Sadly it was too cool to use the unheated pool while we were there. We so desperately wanted to love Taormina but we just didn’t. Sadly the rain and clouds obscured Etna for the duration of our stay.

Epic views from the terrace and pool area overlooking mount Etna, the coastal line / beaches and towns. Staff was 10/10, so helpful, friendly and welcoming! We had a room with a balcony with sea view, highly recommended to spend some extra when you have that view. Short walk to town (8-10 min depending on pace) down some stairs to the main street with many restaurants and shopping. Well functioning wifi and AC.

Can't really come up with something. As with the vast majority of hotels in southern Europe, beds are harder than we Nordic people are used to. It fits some, others not.
