The suite was very comfortable, clean and exactly as pictured. House keeping was daily and the staff were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating- speaking just enough English to assist me when necessary and allowing for a later check in after some travel issues, which I was very grateful for. The hotel is only around a 15 minute walk from the centre of Taormina but it is a steep incline and quite a few steps coming back to the hotel, so be prepared for this. It may not be an ideal location for older people without a car or travellers who don’t want to break a sweat on the way home (you are quite high up the hill). However, this was not a problem for me, so this did not affect my stay. The breakfast was also nice, albeit not abundant with choices, but the view from the lobby is an exceptional panoramic view of the town and Mount Etna which is a nice way to start your day.

If I had to nitpick, the WiFi at the property was not great and I actually could only connect to it on one side of the room. The private terrace is also not super private as other guests walk by regularly and can see into the terrace, as well as those staying in the rooms above. However, these were very small issues and my overall stay at Villa Greta was perfect.

We stayed in a suite & it was delightful. Large very comfortable bed & big room with comfy sofa & modern spacious shower room. Loved the sea view & mount Etna from our large terrace equipped with sun loungers, Gazebo & chairs. There was a walk of around 15 mins downhill into the centre of town & a must to explore. An easy bus ride direct to the hotel for the return uphill journey. The staff were all very friendly & helpful & I was particularly spoilt with Gluten free meals daily. Breakfast was plentiful & displayed beautifully in the amazing restaurant overlooking the coast below. A lovely stay of 4 nights & was sad to leave.

The food is sooo good! Hot breakfast buffet was my favourite - scrambled eggs, grilled vegetables, baked courgette with cheese, caponata, bacon, sausages… didn’t have room for the sweets and continental stuff. Kids happily stuck to the various coissants and cakes and mini pancakes with Nutella. We also had lunch/dinner twice and was equally impressed. Kids said it was the best pasta pomodoro they had in Italy and we loved the fish pasta and mushroom soup. Was sad we didn’t have time to have another meal and try the other dishes! Suite had ample space for family of four and amazing view of etna. We even caught etna lava flow from our terrace on one night of the stay.

Being picky - but some cut fruit options would be good.

My visit to Taormina was a memorable experience helped in no small part by Villa Greta. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful; the breakfast was varied and plentiful; the place was laid back but clean and tidy and since it was high above the centre it was nice and quiet. I'll never forget the views from my room, the smell of flowers on my walks down to the centre, the rumbles from Etna in the night, a spark from it's summit, fireworks in the distance in the night (Villa Greta is so high up that I was looking down at the fireworks), Andrea my brilliant Etna excursion guide who Villa Greta put me in touch with and of course Christina, Rosalla and Sonali. Hope to meet again one day.

The views from the hotel were nice. Although we had some issues with one of the rooms, staff and ownership responded quickly and rectified the issues. The manager was very understanding and offered a free meal as a gesture. They provided excellent customer service.

The hotel needs to catch up with some ongoing maintenance. We found many little issues in our rooms that require attention, like a broken shower head and a non-operable window. Breakfast was Not included, so be careful when booking; apparently, there are different options.

View from the balcony was amazing, you had a feeling that Taormina is like on palm of your hand amazing. Breakfast was on a new level lot of different choices from sweet to bacon and eggs. If you feel that you don't want to go on foot back to Vila Greta than you have a local bus ant the station is in front of the Vila so you just walk in into your room what is great.

Flex room is a bit stressful because you need changing rooms and this is a little bit of a tiresome. The accommodation is quite steep, so there are a lot of stairs to get to the top if you go on foot.

The staff was kind and helpful, specially Salvatore. He kindly gave us a map and explain what to do in town. He also showed my husband where to park. We appreciate his hospitality. The location was good, 12 minute walk to town. Nice view. Thanks for probating a free bottle of water, expreso, and tea.

I was supposed to stay for two nights. However, I was not able to arrive on the first night since the Catania airport was closed, so my flight was cancel. The owner/manager did not want to give us any or partial refund for the first night even though the airport was closed.

Villa Greta is a fabulous property overlooking Taormina and Mt Etna. It is easy to access by bus with its own bus stop. It is located up the hill toward Castelmola. It is an easy 10 minute walk down to the old town… but an uphill walk back to Villa Greta. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a coffee on arrival and surprised with a bottle of Prosecco and fruit in our room. The room was comfortable and modern. Staff were able to arrange a beach club for one of our days. Transport down to Isola Bella was easy and cheap (€1,10) via Linea Verde. Villa Greta was a great place to stay, although be aware of the number of steps! The views are totally worth it.

It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful with questions, told me how to take the train from the Catania airport, and buses in Taormina. I had dinner and lunch there and the food was delicious. Just outside of my room is a great view of Taormina.

It is higher than the Taormina center, walking there only took 20 minutes or so, faster going down , harder going up, using back roads as short cuts. At late night, I felt safer to use a taxi. I didn’t use buses because they might need exact change.

Very nice stay worth recommendation! I would pick this place once again :) view from the room was spectacular! Room comfortable as well as bed. All staff very kind and helpful. Restaurant very good, tasty with decent prices - perfect if You are to tired to move to the city again!

Smell in the bathroom wasn't nice - I think it was because of the old pipes and be prepared that Wi-Fi is not working perfectly (in the upper rooms at all - only at the balcony) - but with this view who cares :)
