Excellent location, pool and fantastic views. Very helpful host - we were able to check in soon after we arrived earlier than expected. Bed was really comfortable with great sheets! Got plenty of local recommendations and help with a taxi to the airport. Thank you for a great stay

The kitchen and bathrooms could do with some updating. Good to have 2 bathrooms but would prefer one more modern one. Kitchen has only enough for basic cooking/eating. Fridge old and small and loud, with no storage compartments in the door.

Everything about our stay here was just wonderful. We were met by Zagara on our arrival who showed us around the property and she was so helpful with information about the local area and where to visit/eat etc. The accommodation itself was clean and comfortable with the most spectacular views which were worth every single penny. The location was perfect for the town, cable car and beach and as a family with two young boys, the pool was perfect for cooling down - lovely and clean with loungers for relaxing. It was our first stop on a tour of Sicily and I can’t have imagined a better place to start our trip. And to top it all off, we left our youngest’s precious comforter in the apartment when we left and Zagara went absolutely above and beyond to get it back to us. We honestly can’t thank you enough. Hope to visit again in the future and would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Taormina 😊

Good communication with the host - Emanuel and his family before and during the stay. Met me on time and very helpful throughout the stay. The view was great and convenient to reach the town up the hill and the beach down below. We had hired a large van for our group of 8 and driving / parking in town was not easy so we walked and took taxis when needed. Host was very helpful with parking. Villa was spacious.

Kitchen was a little difficult to use - more commercial than residential but we got by. Limited utensils even for basic breakfasts but we managed. Sofa bed not as comfortable - so ideally sleeps 6 in three bedrooms. Minor bathroom niggles - shower heads not always stable. Hosts were very helpful and present to handle any remediable issues.

stunning views in a great location overlooking the bay. We stayed in the Garden Apartment with jacuzzi - nice to have the privacy, garden was pretty and the host set up the jacuzzi when we wanted to use it. Inside the apartment was basic, but clean and comfortable with most items you would need for a stay. Worth noting for anyone looking to stay, there are a lot of steps around the property as well as the walk up to the centre of Taormina (we counted 280 steep steps!) - so might not be appropriate for those with restricted mobility.

don’t really have a dislike as such, but a couple of areas of improvement we would suggest - a toaster would be helpful, the oven grill took a long time to heat and toast bread; kettle leaked and knives were not sharp enough. Also, whilst there were large double wardrobes, most of the space was taken up with extra bedding and storage for the host. Only 5 coat hangers and no drawers so we were unable to unpack which was annoying for a 6 night stay. There was also a bit of maintenance work being carried out that required access to the garden - would have been nice to have some notice; it woke us a couple of times and restricted us from using the outside space when they were around.

We loved the location of Villa Zagara! Beautiful views from the territory on sunsets and sunrises over the Ionian Sea! A 20-minute walk from the villa is the beach next to the island of Isola Bella, and the center of Taormina is also 20 minutes away. There is a swimming pool and sun loungers, you can spend time outside. The house had everything we needed: a separate bedroom, a double bed, clean towels, a shower and soap utensils, a refrigerator, a safe for valuables, several wardrobes and bedside tables for clothes and shoes, a kitchen with a gas stove, dishes and appliances. What is very important is that it was warm, the villa is heated automatically, the temperature level had been set by the owner.

From Catania, the villa can only be reached by bus or train, they finish the ride very early. Especially on Sundays, there are cancellations of transport or not running too early. Taxis are expensive, 100-120 euros to get from the airport to Taormina. We recommend renting a car or checking the options with a transfer from the owner in advance. It is also worth considering that it is still quite cool in March, especially in the evening after sunset. You can get your feet wet in the sea, but it's still cold for swimming. Be sure to take warm clothes such as a sweater or jacket, pants.

The location was perfect for walking around Taormina. Emmanuel was a very attentive host.

The fact that we had to practically beg for the heat to be turned on!! We should have control over the heat in our space and not have to ask for it. This made us very uncomfortable a lot of the time. Also the lighting in the living room was either a big bright set of lights or nothing. So that wasn't comfortable either, especially with glass doors on the bedroom with the light shining fully in!

My stay at Villa Zagara Garden exceeded expectations. The communication before arrival was excellent, and we were greeted with warmth by Emmanuel and Zagara. They went above and beyond helping me with a birthday surprise for my husband. The room with a private jacuzzi was bigger than we imagined, with a living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. Everything was beautiful and clean. The view is stunning and we could hear the birds singing in the morning! Villa Zagara is within walking distance from Isola Bela and Taormina Center. I highly recommend it!

The apartment was beautiful and the absolute highlight for us was the private small swimming pool/jacuzzi. The apartments are very well located for walking into both directions, down to the beach and upwards into the scenic town of Taormina. The hosts were really nice and sent us a lot of suggestions and advice via whats app. There were no parking spces in front of the house which was not a problem as we could use public parking spaces for free that were quite close, which was okay for us.

The view and the location is perfect, also good kitchen amenities. The staff was polite and gave us good information about the region.

The sofa was awful and impossible to sleep on, also in the information there was private jacuzzi but in fact it turn out that was a mistake, all other apartments has one but our doesn’t. We spoke with the owner and he couldn’t get us another room, he offered a voucher but we have to remind him several times and wait long for it. At the end we have it and everything is settled but we didn’t had great experience.

Great location close to the city centre and the cable car to get to the beach. Amazing view from the property and pool! Room was very comfortable, has great AC and everything you need. The hosts gave us lots of local recommendations as well!

This is not a dislike but more of notice to be aware of - to get to the city centre or cable car for the beach you have to climb a lot of stairs or up hill - just be prepared for that!
