Don’t be put off by reviews that talk about the decor being dated. The decor only adds to the charm of the establishment. This little gem of a hotel is worth far more than its 3 star rating. The location, absolute cleanliness of the property and its immediate environment, well appointed bathrooms, fantastic breakfasts, lovely pool area, the attention to detail by Ibelli Enrico (hotel manager) and his wonderful staff made for a exceptional start to our first visit to Italy. We booked three rooms across our family and everything was faultless. The restaurant recommendations were perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and very much looking forward to doing a return visit.

Nothing to dislike.

The location is perfect — just a short walk from the beach and close to public transport if you want to visit other cities like Pisa. Our room was clean, very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There were always enough pool chairs available, and the pool itself was lovely. Breakfast was good and had everything you need for a great start to the day. What truly made our stay special was the staff. This is a family-run hotel, and you can feel the love and dedication they put into their work. Thank you for your kindness and attention — it made all the difference!

Lovely, family run hotel just slightly out of town centre. Pleasant 10 min walk in through the back roads. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The pool was exceptional. Very private and quiet. Excellent tennis courts. (Professional standard). Bikes to borrow. On a final note the family staff were amazing. Very friendly and very helpful. Would certainly use this hotel again and recommend it.

This is probably the best run hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything works perfectly. The rooms are great and extremely clean. The staff and management are extremely helpful and attentive. Bristol has a number of hotel bikes that guests are free to use which is perfect since the beach is around 500 meters away. We used the bikes for going to the beach, for short trips through the pine forest and for shopping. The breakfast is excellent and includes fresh fruit, cut ham and soft boiled eggs. The swimming pool is fantastic and has a self service bar.

Need to improve the WiFi coverage and access

We absolutely loved it at hotel Bristol. The staff was friendly and helpful, the pool was calm and relaxing, the bed in our room was very comfortable and the whole hotel was one of the cleanest hotels we have ever seen. We really appreciated the option to freely use the hotel bikes and various discounts offered by restaurants and beaches for Bristol guests.

It is hard to find something negative; we loved it there! Really, the only thing we were missing was some vegetables at breakfast.

Lovely stay at this hotel. It’s located in a really nice quiet coastal town about 20 minutes drive from Pisa. The outdoor pool is a particular highlight! And you’re a 10 minute walk from the small town with some lovely restaurants and the beach. The staff were all so wonderful, they couldn’t do enough to help us and ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible.

I booked last minute for a weekend get-away. Everything was great, especially my big three: perfectly clean, comfortable and quiet. The pool was wonderful- also clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good too, basic Italian pastries plus fruit, yogurt, meats, cheeses, cereal, granola… It was an easy walk to the centro and the beaches, but there were also free bikes which made my beach trips even easier. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing! I really loved it here.

Our stay was overshadowed by discovering that we had a damaged tyre just as we arrived at the hotel after a long drive. We were given every help by the hotel staff, including a compressor to re-pressurise the tyre. Unfortunately this wasn't successful and we had to leave the car at the hotel and transfer to the airport by taxi. Throughout this the hotel staff were very re-assuring, and made sure that a taxi arrived on time to take us to the airport. This is a convenient location by the coast if you don't want to stay in Pisa.

As we only stayed foir 1 night and this was overtaken by the tyre problem we have no suggestions for improvement

The owner and staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The pool was beautifully kept and delightful to swim in.

The bar was never open and there was no facility to have even a snack in the hotel - a shame as the breakfast room would make a pleasant restaurant. Had not realised that the rooms do not have balconies, which I do like to have.

The staff are friendly ( Enrico) was especially friendly & helpful. Breakfast was delicious & fresh. The property was extremely clean and the pool area an extra bonus 👌 We also enjoyed relaxing & watching old movies in our room ( movies that are classics)

The bar fridge was a little small to store our travelling foods for our long journey.
