The hotel is located in the city center, so expect traffic noise, or your room might face a rather dark alley. We asked for a room away from traffic and we got it. The hotel can be reached by walking within 15 minutes from the train station Trieste Centrale. The room was quite small, but still big enough for the few overnight stays. Especially when you consider that you are on the move a lot anyway. The bathroom was big enough with enough storage space. The check in was fast and professional. Hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. You can explore the entire city by walking. Beaches located further away can be reached with Trenitalia trains. WIFI was stable and fast enough. The breakfast was good, especially the bread was excellent.

A small power strip at the bed would be very helpful to charge mobile devices.

A kettle in the toom would have been a welcome addition The poor lad at breakfast needs someone else to help him - he struggled to keep up with clearing and setting tables and keeping the buffett replenished. He did his best, but it's a lot for one person. On both mornings, we had to sit at tables that hadn't been cleared and made up!

I’ve stayed in a lot of Italian hotels and they’re normally very noisy with rock hard beds. Not this one! Lovely comfy bed and the soundproofing was so good that I didn’t hear either the noise in the street or the people in the room next door! So I slept really well. Location is also amazing, right by the main square and steps from the seafront.

Breakfast wasn’t amazing but it was fine. It would’ve been nice to have more than just the reception area as a place to sit and relax.

Solo traveller, room was clean and had good facilities, comfortable bed and good pillow. Great size modern bathroom. Breakfast was great and also had access to self serve coffee machine and water in lobby. Was very close to the port where I was picking up a cruise. Under a 5 minute walk.

The room was very small, only accommodating a single bed. Whilst I’m a solo traveller a double bed would have been nicer, but appreciate the room couldn’t accomodate a bigger bed.

The location is absolutely ideal for trips in all directions. The rooms are clean, in good condition, plenty of storage space in the bathroom. Amazing beds, but that's a subjective opinion. Breakfast could have been richer. The car will be taken care of by the helpful staff, thumbs up, an excellent thing in the traffic of Trieste 😉

Vis à Vis Hotel in Trieste is a wonderful choice! The location is perfect. The staff are super nice and always helpful, making the stay feel welcoming. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Pet friendly, we traveled with our little yorkie. Highly recommend!

Breakfast, room, and location were great. Staff were fantastic!

I did not like using the stairs as there was no hand rails and could be slippery. I would use them very carefully. I prefer to use the stairs and not the elevators. It was my choice.

Excellent service received from Head Concierge Ramon, Matthew and other staff of Duchi D Aosta and Hotel Vis a Vis. They went beyond beyond the norm and truly made a difference in our stay. Traveling with my husband and 2 seniors, they made life so much easier. Thank you guys. Best value, excellent location just next to the square and across the cruise terminal, clean, comfortable, breakfast was very good too. Highly recommend!! Will stay again.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for getting around the city. We arrived from a cruise ship and the hotel was a very short walk from the cruise terminal which helped to avoid the queues for taxis.

Fabulous property .. although it’s technically an annexe to the Duche Hotel, the facilities were more than adequate for our needs. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The concierge offered excellent advice on where to go and what to see. Highly recommended. Central location.. 20 m from the central square.

The keycard didn’t work.. we used a physical key. I believe it’s teething problems with the technology. A minor detail, but worth mentioning.
