There was filming going on outside , which was a one off and which was noisy at night. The staff immediately rectified the situation by changing rooms, and were very obliging. It wasn’t the hotels fault.

The location was excellent and the staff were exceptional in their manners, courtesy helpfulness. Diego, Elena & Valentina at reception really were so polite and went out of their way to help me and make me enjoy my stay.They all spoke excellent English.

The property was not well marked on Google maps so it was a struggle to find initially. Actually it is just off the piazza unita d’italia, if the sea is at your back you turn right at the spar and first left.

Although it is a bit of a walk from the train station (about 15-20 minutes), it is very central to a lot of the things to see in Trieste (it is right behind the main square). The shining star for this hotel is the service. They were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. Although not a huge variety, there were quite a bit of options and the food was delicious. Fruits, even in the fall, were sweet and juicy. And we had to leave early on one morning so we asked if we could just grab a bag of some pastries to go. They said, just tell us what you want and we will pack it up for you and have it waiting. And they did! Complete with plastic silverware and napkins. Now THAT is service. The room itself was clean and a bit small but not too bad. Very modern and comfortable. There was a little bit of noise but not really noticeable. And the staff always said hello when you left and returned.

Very minor, nitpicky things. The thing that wasn't great was the square toilet. It is as uncomfortable as it sounds. The shower stall was also pretty small and I am a small person so I can't imagine if someone bigger used the shower. But it was perfectly fine and the bathroom itself was a decent size. Note that if you have mobility issues, while the elevator will take you to your floor, you do have to walk down about 4 steps to get to the hallway where the rooms are located. Not bad but just be aware.

We had a wonderful pre-cruise stay at this hotel. Tommy was just a delight helping us out with everything at the breakfast buffet. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are all exceptional. The room was clean, nice and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Trieste and wants to have a comfortable and pleasant stay in this beautiful city.

The air conditioning is only switched on some time in May. We arrived towards the end of April. The weather was already nice and therefore the room was a bit stuffy. If you open the windows you get the noise from the street and the adjacent bar. Just something to note.

Close to the main tourist and pedestrian areas of the old centre. Surrounding area is a little on the "could use some modernization" but the Urban Design location itself is a great start. Not the most scenic of areas and limited parking options, other than public. There are options available at the front desk. We took advantage of the underground parking at the nearby San Giusto location for the over night stay. We were given a 15% discount coupon for the less than 24 hours period we used. You can drop off your luggage first then park. Be aware that UD is on a one way street so navigating to/from the hotel is an adventure in itself! Room was fine although it would have been nicer with an extra folding luggage table to accommodate more than one luggage rather than dropping them on the floor. AC was shut off, but this wasn't an issue since April was a bit cooler than usual. Beds and coverings were comfortable. For our one night of sleep we were satisfied. AMAZING BREAKFAST! Fit for a King and Queen. Lots of room in the two eating areas. There is a glass floor in the main area which spooked my spouse a little, and especially if you're queasy about the openness below your feet. I thought it was an added touch of adventure. Staff were great and super helpful. Front desk - optimal! Free umbrellas to use if inclement weather outside.

My biggest peeve with most hotels, B&B's and rent-a-space is the lack of shelving in all the rooms, be it bedroom or bathroom. There's just no real estate to put personal hygiene and toiletries when traveling in two. It's a constant shuffle. Same with the shower area.

Good location, excellent staff, upgraded our room for free to junior suite, excellent bathroom amenities, interesting hotel decor. Great bed, pillows, linen. Can't say about breakfast, didn't eat there. Adjacent building is a bar, we enjoyed live music they had on Sunday, finished till 10 pm, so guests could sleep normally.

For one night stay, that suite is OK, but the stairs (bed is upstairs like on gallery) could be troublesome. Also, building architecture is such, so windows are a bit oddly placed, Complimentary water would be nice, and free parking, at least for as many cars as possible in front of the hotel. For Trieste, it would be a huge plus on that location.

Clean and modern. I upgraded to a larger room for a very good price. Urban is very centrally located easy to get where I wanted yo go. The staff were always welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great - wonderful selection of good and coffee and Tommy the dining host was was always welcoming and attentive. Front desk helped me with getting taxi service and keeping luggage. Then there were little things - great water pressure and lots of ada amenities if you need then.

I had all I needed for my trip.

Breakfast was outstanding and the highlight of our stay in the hotel. The location was central and walking distance from all the tourist spots. The staff were lovely as well.

The location of our rooms meant we were above a number of noisy bars which meant being woken up to loud and rowdy customers each night at 2am and then by the staff leaving the establishments at 4am. This meant very interrupted nights sleep. If I were to stay again I would ask to be put on the quieter side of the hote.

The room was very comfortable. Good quality mattress. Breakfast was excellent and Tommy made the experience great. They have a bean to cup coffee machine and the coffee was really nice. They also serve cold meets and salad, pastries and some hot food although the attempt at the English breakfast is not worth trying.

The configuration of the room meant there was only a small window in the room and you had to rely on artificial light.

The location was amazing! Very dog friendly hotel… people who love their dogs will feel good and comfortable here! We also loved the breakfast. Everything was fresh and tasty!
