There was filming going on outside , which was a one off and which was noisy at night. The staff immediately rectified the situation by changing rooms, and were very obliging. It wasn’t the hotels fault.

The location was excellent and the staff were exceptional in their manners, courtesy helpfulness. Diego, Elena & Valentina at reception really were so polite and went out of their way to help me and make me enjoy my stay.They all spoke excellent English.

The property was not well marked on Google maps so it was a struggle to find initially. Actually it is just off the piazza unita d’italia, if the sea is at your back you turn right at the spar and first left.

Wonderfully remodeled old building in the heart of the city. Walking distance to numerous historic sites, as well as coffee houses and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. And the best memories were created by the front desk staff, whose willingness to help, knowledge of the city and warmth have made our stay wonderful. A special thank you goes to Olivia.

Although it is a bit of a walk from the train station (about 15-20 minutes), it is very central to a lot of the things to see in Trieste (it is right behind the main square). The shining star for this hotel is the service. They were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. Although not a huge variety, there were quite a bit of options and the food was delicious. Fruits, even in the fall, were sweet and juicy. And we had to leave early on one morning so we asked if we could just grab a bag of some pastries to go. They said, just tell us what you want and we will pack it up for you and have it waiting. And they did! Complete with plastic silverware and napkins. Now THAT is service. The room itself was clean and a bit small but not too bad. Very modern and comfortable. There was a little bit of noise but not really noticeable. And the staff always said hello when you left and returned.

Very minor, nitpicky things. The thing that wasn't great was the square toilet. It is as uncomfortable as it sounds. The shower stall was also pretty small and I am a small person so I can't imagine if someone bigger used the shower. But it was perfectly fine and the bathroom itself was a decent size. Note that if you have mobility issues, while the elevator will take you to your floor, you do have to walk down about 4 steps to get to the hallway where the rooms are located. Not bad but just be aware.

Everything was great. Excellent location, easy to park the car at the hotel for check-in. This is important, because it is very difficult at many hotels in Trieste. Convenient car parking service, kind and professional receptionists. Nicely renovated building in a modern way, a few steps down a quiet street and you find yourself in a nice small square full of restaurants and bars. The location is great, close to everything on foot. Absolutely clean, cleaning staff is great. The breakfast is fantastic in a cool restaurant area, wide selection of food, gluten-free options too. The breakfast team also does their job well and kindly, and Tommy the manager is non plus ultra, extra polite, a true professional. If we are in Trieste, we will come back here.

The hotel is very close to the main square of Trieste, so it's an ideal location to explore the city. The hotel seems to be freshly renovated, so the rooms are modern and cozy. The beds were very comfy. We slept very well with an open window, i.e., it was quiet in the night despite the central location. Our room (most rooms ?) was not facing the street that is close to the hotel. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, so we cannot comment. Parking was feasibly in a public underground parking house close by, like 150m walk. You get a 15% discount from the hotel, so we paid €18 per night. Staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Thommy's early breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is a feast for the eyes! Extraordinary well done!

For those traveling by car, there's a public parking lot nearby where guests get a 15% discount, which is a huge plus. The rooms are a highlight—they're exceptionally clean and well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is also top-notch, with a great selection of delicious options to start your day. What really sets this place apart, however, is the staff. Everyone is incredibly kind, polite, and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Their excellent service truly enhances the entire experience. Overall, this hotel is an outstanding choice for your trip, offering an unbeatable location, clean and comfortable rooms, great food, and wonderful service. I highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful pre-cruise stay at this hotel. Tommy was just a delight helping us out with everything at the breakfast buffet. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are all exceptional. The room was clean, nice and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Trieste and wants to have a comfortable and pleasant stay in this beautiful city.

The air conditioning is only switched on some time in May. We arrived towards the end of April. The weather was already nice and therefore the room was a bit stuffy. If you open the windows you get the noise from the street and the adjacent bar. Just something to note.

Close to the main tourist and pedestrian areas of the old centre. Surrounding area is a little on the "could use some modernization" but the Urban Design location itself is a great start. Not the most scenic of areas and limited parking options, other than public. There are options available at the front desk. We took advantage of the underground parking at the nearby San Giusto location for the over night stay. We were given a 15% discount coupon for the less than 24 hours period we used. You can drop off your luggage first then park. Be aware that UD is on a one way street so navigating to/from the hotel is an adventure in itself! Room was fine although it would have been nicer with an extra folding luggage table to accommodate more than one luggage rather than dropping them on the floor. AC was shut off, but this wasn't an issue since April was a bit cooler than usual. Beds and coverings were comfortable. For our one night of sleep we were satisfied. AMAZING BREAKFAST! Fit for a King and Queen. Lots of room in the two eating areas. There is a glass floor in the main area which spooked my spouse a little, and especially if you're queasy about the openness below your feet. I thought it was an added touch of adventure. Staff were great and super helpful. Front desk - optimal! Free umbrellas to use if inclement weather outside.

My biggest peeve with most hotels, B&B's and rent-a-space is the lack of shelving in all the rooms, be it bedroom or bathroom. There's just no real estate to put personal hygiene and toiletries when traveling in two. It's a constant shuffle. Same with the shower area.
