The accommodation exceeded my expectations – the apartment was clean, spacious, well-equipped, and located right in the city center. Communication with the hosts was excellent and everything went smoothly. Every morning, I enjoyed watching the lively streets of Trieste from the window. The evenings were unforgettable – famous Italian songs played below our windows, people were dancing, and my sister and I happily joined in. I still miss that atmosphere – I truly love Italian culture and architecture, and this place brought it to life in the most beautiful way.

There’s nothing I would criticize – everything was perfect. I would love to come back again!

Very central location. Great for a quick visit of Trieste. Convenient parking nearby. Supermarket, veggie and fruit store, bars, gelato, pharmacy, restaurants all just downstairs. Bed, shower, “living room” nice. Apartment is small and bright. Honest about noise of city life to be expected. Good double glazed windows. Elevator is a big plus to quickly arrive on 4th floor.

Dining choices around the neighborhood not inspiring. Maybe a list of suggestions in the room might help. Sewage smell on ground floor when entering the building needs to be fixed. I guess it’s not normal.

We went to Trieste to board a cruise. The location could not be better for cruise terminal or center of the city. The apartment was excellent in all respects except one. The air conditioning was not a match for the extremely warm night (high 80s) when we were there. Other than that, I found everything in the apartment to be immaculate and very well taken care of. There is an elevator in the building, which is very helpful for those traveling with heavy suitcases. The apartment is very compact, so very suitable for one or two people. The host was extremely responsive and considerate. It was a pleasure to stay at the Piazza Grande City Residence.

My stay at this hotel in Trieste was truly enjoyable. Its location near Piazza Unità made it incredibly convenient. The self-check-in process was smooth and the staff provided clear and accurate instructions. The apartment itself was spacious and well-appointed, although it might be beneficial for business travelers like myself to have a dedicated workspace, although the kitchen table sufficed. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and clean.

The only downside was some noise from the pub downstairs until around midnight, but as I don't sleepT early, it wasn't a significant issue for me. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

The accommodation was right in the heart of the Via Cavana district with a plethora of associations with Irish writer James Joyce, a literary figure of global importance who lived in Trieste from 1904 to 1920. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the literary and artistic venues, the statues and sign-posted itineraries of the city where the renowned chronicler of his native Dublin said he left his soul.

Would have liked more time to explore the Istria hinterland.

The apartment was lovely and clean. The bed was comfortable, cooking in the kitchen was nice and easy. We felt quite at home:)

It is in the city center so not exactly a quiet location:) There's a little wine bar downstairs (next to the entrance and right under the windows of our apartment) which gets really busy at night, with loud music and a lot of people. We were okay with it (we stayed on 3rd floor) but it might not be pleasant for somebody who needs silence to fall asleep.

Piazza Grande Residence is in the center of Trieste, in a pedestrian zone. Excellent location and beautiful premises. We are very pleased with our choice. We received the necessary instructions to enter the apartment, and found the unit to our liking. However, we started receiving confusing messeges from the company that manages the Residence They said that we should "make our payment in cash put it on the kitchen table, and someone will come pick it up". They added that they conduct business 50 kilometers away. In our long experience with Booking.com hotels this situation never happened before and we would not accept it. Our credit card information had been already submitted as guarantee when we booked the unit. This informal communication was really out of order and inappropiate. Furthermore, we found that the kitchen in the apartment lacked basic things like smalll pots, a knive, and other necessary instruments. We use the kitchen particularly to do breakfast. However, the story ends well. Illaria, the charming owner of the unit, came personally and fixed the matter. We were happy to meet Illaria. She is an intelligent entrepreneur. Her property is really excellent. Our stay of six days was pleasing and we left impressed by the beauty, elegance and ambiance of this great city.

The kitchen lacked basic elements such as small pots, knives etc. and there was an unacceptable communication with the Agency that administres the property. The owner, Illaria, fixed the matter, and we were delighted to have met her.

Town centre location. Short walk from the central station. Lift in the building. Very convenient for shops and restaurants.

Noisy bar on the ground floor. No a/c. Very thin curtains, bright in early morning. Our apartment was on 5th floor under the roof and though in early May it was warm, with no a/c it would be intolerable in hot weather. Saying all that it was a good stay for us.

Communication with the staff was perfect and so was the location. The apartment very clean and cosy, we really liked it. They have good deals with neighbouring facilies for parking and breakfast, which we used.

Very slow and unstable internet connection. In the bathroom, we missed little hooks to hang towels and shelves for soap/shower gel in the shower. Also, shower drain was completely stuck and we had to buy the liquide to clean it so as not to flood the bathroom.

Incredible location in the middle of a very active night life in Trieste. Fun and energizing, as well as relatively quiet despite all the people around. Also, the room had some nice amenities, not only salt and pepper but olive oil and vinegar which was a very welcome and generous addition.

Parking nearby was a challenge, but a discount for local parking was available from the landlord.
