An incredible location unlike anywhere we've stayed before! Room was huge, breakfast options vast and the Acquarello restaurant setting and food were both incredible. The shuttle taxi boat to Venice was fantastic and reliable, making for very easy trips to Venice to explore. Staff were very polite and welcoming.

Was surprised to see black mould in the shower grouting and in some areas of the pool which I wouldn't expect for a hotel of this calibre. Lunch options were fairly limited and the food was not nearly as good quality as Acquarello for dinner.

The lush, expansive gardens are simply unmatched, as are the activities on offer – from cycling around the island and reading while watching the sunset, to playing tennis or taking peaceful walks. It’s an experience that’s almost impossible to find anywhere else in Venice. The rooms were spacious, and as the hotel has been recently refurbished, everything is in perfect condition. The main building feels like a palace, with its wide corridors and magnificent staircases adorned with Murano chandeliers – giving the impression of living in a royal residence. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious – plentiful without being wasteful, striking exactly the right balance in every respect.

As the hotel is only a few years past its inauguration, it still feels as though certain aspects could be further refined. If you’re hungry and not especially patient, I would advise against dining at the bar. We tried on three occasions, and the shortest waiting time from order to service was 45 minutes — once exceeding an hour — far too long for a simple club sandwich. In addition, special requests don’t always seem to be properly noted. I asked for fresh milk to be kept in the minibar throughout my stay; it was only provided on the first day and again on the day I reminded them. On the remaining days, there was none. A minor detail, perhaps, but one that feels out of place in a hotel of such otherwise impeccable standards.

The location is amazing. The ambience is great. Staff very friendly and cooperative. Beautifully manicured gardens. Loved everything.

1)No choice of food in the restaurant. Being such a huge brand, there should be an option of more food choices. Also they close kitchen at 12. This should change. 2) Need to improve Air Conditioning system. Many rooms had issues with that. 3) prices should be reasonable. A coke for €8 is too steep just as an example.

Staff, breakfast, water shuttle, everything was excellent

The cost of the stay was excessive but we believe this was due to the Venice film festival There was some work being done in the area outside our room. The noise of the drilling was very noisy. Fortunately we had a sleep at the pool (we had a very early flight) so we just put up with the noise. This was only a small issue, we would still definitely recommend the hotel

The Island is Amazing. In venice you will not find any Hotel like this. The rooms are amazing and during your stay the minibar is included.The Island offers Everything. The stuff is very young and super friendly. Amazing

To be honest the breakfast is at the lowest Level for a 5 Star Hotel. You got this Beautiful Island , amazing rooms, everything amazing and then a breakfast which is poor as it gets. If the Management change that no complain.

Had a wonderful stay at the San Clemente Palace, lovely hospitality from all the staff and especially the owners Mr Selim and his wife that made sure guests were feeling at home. Being on a private island … you get to stay in a very calm and peaceful space while being minutes away from the center (shuttle is provided by the hotel every 30 minutes) … in a very crowded city like Venice this is very unique. The historic Church and Palace were really impressive (high-floor to ceiling, wonderful chandeliers , floral arrangements) , large lush gardens that are perfect for a calm walk.

Every issue that presented itself was solved by management.

1)Mr Selim the owner is making sure the hotel is run at the highest standard. 2)The private island of San Clemente provides top tranquility and privacy minutes away from the center. 3)Very nice historical church and beautiful lush gardens surround the hotel. 4)The hotel itself is a palace, amazing floor to ceiling height, spacious rooms and suites. 5)Aquarello restaurant is certainly better than the old Buddha bar. 6)Most importantly very good concierge and staff overall.

Nothing really , everything was top. Maybe if we want it to be even better , improve room service. In terms of food quality but also speed of delivery. Room service needs to check the in-suite mini bar more often.

Oh mama Mia! It was my best experience in my life! Wonderful hotel, Venice, beautiful transfer by boat (which is much more create a vibe of this hotel) The staff is on the TOP level of service. Concierge is perfect (has a small trip to the glass factory, advice about Venice’s restaurants, and have got amazing wooden boat for the transfer back to the railway station) Housekeeping came twice per day into our room. At midday for cleaning and before evening to prepare our room for sleeping.

No champagne on the breakfast 😢 so wanted to have it) And two times we tried to have a lunch or dinner on the terrace near the main entrance, but first time it was kitchen and bar closed and second time it was long waiting of the waiter. Need to make a good entertainment on the terrace and there will be a lot of visitors or may be it will be enough to fix service a little bit.

A really lovely hotel - couldn’t recommend it more highly! Absolutely amazing hotel. Great welcome from the moment we arrived. All the staff were lovely. The grounds are beautiful and facilities fantastic. It was so nice to be on an oasis away from the madness of Venice. The boat service was great and meant we were able to spend time soaking up all the sights and culture in Venice and also relax by the pool. Pool itself was also great, large with plenty of loungers so always space. Perfect trip!

Only slight gripe was the cost of the food and drink, it put us off eating and drinking there. Had the prices been slightly more reasonable we actually would have spent more there so a little short sighted on their part.

Fabulous location to get away from it all so relaxing and peaceful ..very nice staff too. The swimming pool is wonderful and the beautiful grounds a huge bonus along with the complimentary boat it all works so smoothly.

food and beverage prices seem very high!
