Staff lovely. Place clean, white, light. Good plumbing. Small, tasteful hotel. Quality not quantity at breakfast. Pretty grounds. Water at the end of the garden. Cypress trees across from our patio. I’d recommend a ground floor patio room. Five mins walk to the water bus stop. Five mins walk to local restos on the water with dreamy views onto Dorsoduro.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. But stay here if you want to make it work. You’re on Giudecca, eight mins water bus to “mainland” Venice. Most tourists want to lodge on “mainland” Venice, thus don’t consider Giudecca. For us this was a boon: fewer tourists, more space, more tranquility. What’s not to like? But you will need to understand the water buses (not difficult) and you will want to make this work for you to be happy with this choice. We did and we were.

It is more of a hostel as due to the architecture of this building it misses a spirit Too long corridors like in a dorm or convent. Got eaten from mosquitoes in the garden at breakfast Giudecca island is nice BUT nevertheless very difficult to reach when you are in Venice. Boat is only every 20 minutes to this island which makes it not spontaneous at all

Superb location on the quiet island of Giudecca, only 5 min walk to the vaporetto stop from which we could take water buses to San Marco and everywhere else. The room was excellent with a private terrace looking towards the gardens of the Cappucin monastery next door (Al Redentore). Breakfast was a beautiful selection of hot and cold but rather spread out. Eating in the garden looking out across the Laguna toward the Lido was delightful.

The garden at the rear of the hotel is such a secluded and beautiful space. Guests didn’t seem to make much use of it and we were told it was closed after 7 pm which is a shame since the views and sunset were so lovely. However, the barman Jacope was very happy to serve us drinks there one night which we enjoyed until dusk.

We bought tickets in the airport for the land bus to P. Le Roma. On arrival we crossed over the road to buy a 7 day water bus ticket (don’t forget to validate your tickets). We caught the vaparetto (water bus) to Redentore. The walk from the drop off point was only a few minutes away from the hotel. The hotel was beautiful and well looked after. I had my two children with me 17 and 12 both with very different eating preferences. They both had a really good breakfast. The choice on offer is fantastic and something to please everyone. We’d come away following the recent death of my Dad and we toasted him one morning with Prosecco (this is available every morning). The rooms were kept spotless and reception staff were super helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Having to go home.

This hotel is pristine. We absolutely loved it! Our room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. We were celebrating a special occasion so we were delighted when we were upgraded to a wonderful room looking over the garden and the water. The room was very bright, spacious and quiet and it really made our stay very special. Thank you so much to the hotel staff for doing this. The hotel staff were always very helpful and very friendly. We very much liked that fact that the hotel was on Giudecca which was very quiet and away from the busy main sites of Venice. It was very easy to get to as there is a Vaporetti stop about 5 mins walk from the hotel. There are also really nice restaurants next to the water at only a 5/10 minute walk. To get to the hotel from the airport we took the bus just outside the arrival terminal (ticket machines can be found in the airport). The bus journey took about 20 minutes to the bus terminal which is right next to the Vaporetti stop (P de Roma). We boarded the Vaporetti water bus which took us to Redentore which is the stop near the hotel. This journey all went very smoothly. We stayed in Venice for 5 nights and bought a 7 day Vaporetti ticket (at the machine in the airport) which worked out to be the cheapest option. We were able to hop on and off the water buses as often as we liked. We would definitely recommend this hotel. We had a lovely time in Venice and the hotel made it just perfect.

Just a small comment because everything else was perfect - there were some breakfast items i.e the eggs were not so good because they had been left too long in the heated dish, the bacon was very greasy and some things (cold meats) were not replenished quickly enough when there were quite a few guests in the breakfast area. We loved the fact that Prosecco was available at breakfast! What a nice touch! Other than the above, there was a really nice choice of cold breakfast food available. We really liked that fact that breakfast was served until 11am.

For us, the location on the island of Giudeca ( two ferry stops from the main island), was ideal - away from the intense masses and beautifully peaceful. Our room overlooked the quiet church gardens, so there was absolutely no noise. Plus, views of the lagoon and church just made it the perfect oasis after hot days spent sightseeing. The hotel has been beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard for the price point. The bed was very comfortable and the room was airy, light and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff delightful.

Beware the greedy seagulls if you want breakfast outside!

Maison Boutique Al Redentore is an amazing hotel. Everything looks brand new and super clean. Room was quite spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was also very good with a great shower. A/C worked super well, which is essential for those hot days in Venice during summer, and the bed was comfortable. It's extremely quiet all around the property during the and night, so it's definitely the place to relax and rest. Location was very convenient. Even though Giudecca doesn't have anything particularly noteworthy, it's just a 5min boat ride from San Marco Square, so it was super convenient for us and you are away from the buzz of the city and have more intimate and genuine venetian experience. It's a safe haven away from the crowds and mass of tourists in Venice. Breakfast was quite good. I just missed more fresh fruits, but other than that it was fine.

Nothing called my attention negatively. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Venice.

The breakfast was good. The cleanliness was A+++; probably the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. Quite near the Redentore vaperetto stop so easy access to all attractions but away from the heavy tourist traffic in the main island. Very friendly and helpful staff. The air conditioning worked 24/7 which was so welcome given the searing heat and humidity outside. Many great restaurants within walking distance - all with stunning views of the waterfront and vistas of Venice, across the water. So glad we chose this place! Excellent!!

Nothing to dislike.

The garden room with patio was amazing. The room was large enough and had huge arched doors leading to a very nice semi private patio. The hotel was updated and very clean. Reception was fantastic and held our luggage while we explored on the day of our checkout. The breakfast was very good and went until 11:00 on Saturday. They offer a later checkout and we were able to extend ours until early afternoon. Overall, we loved the hotel and it's location off of the beaten path.

We would have liked more counter space in the bathroom, but due to the round pedestal sink, there was very little available. Also, I did not care for the round modern toilet or sink design, that is a personal preference though.

Very clean and comfortable. Amazing view of the garden. Big beds, good breakfast, helpful staff. It was my husbands 40th birthday and the hotel left a birthday card with candy box in our room. We also got a bottle of prosecco to celabrate. That was a really unexpected and lovely touch.

Central cooling was a bit too cold for my taste but sleeping without it was not possible. Had to wake up few times to switch it on and off because it was not possible to regulate the temperature.
