The staff are very, very kind and helpful - all from the reception to the cleaning. The room very clean and new towels in the bathroom every second day. The breakfast is fine, a lot to choose from. We liked the peace and quiet in the area and then just a few hundred meters there is the buzzling city. Also a very short walk to the connection boat to the airport. We would surely like to come back to Casa Accedemia.

Breakfast was terrific. Room comfortable and sufficient.

Although we never travel with a television as an itinerary requirement, the day’s windown is nice to check in with the world and perhaps a movie. Not having a TV was the downside to Casa Accademia. Sure, phones do the same thing but the screen size does matter. Perhaps you should make a statement very visible “This property does NOT have TVs” just as a heads up.

Casa Accademia is in the nice Sestiere Dorsoduro. You can easily reach it via Vaporetto (Linea 1 or Linea 2, departure at Piazzale Roma or Ferrovia Santa Lucia). You can choose to go off the Vaporetto at the stop Accademia or Santa Maria della Salute - the distance is quiet the same. The staff is very friendly and you can deposit your lugage starting at 8:00 a.m. - in case of an early arrival. The room was very clean and had everything I needed - aircondition worked perfectly. I had no breakfast, so I cannot say anything about it, I prefer a nice caffè (for example Caffè Rosso at Campo Santa Margarita or other places) and enjoy sitting outside and start to the Day in an Italian way. Because I know Venezia very very good it is easy for me, but I‘m sure everybody can find a perfect place for breakfast. Resume: I felt good and safe at Casa Accademia

The hotel is perfectly located - a 5 minute walk from the Zattere vaporetto stop, in a quiet and safe area. It's a 7 minute walk to the Accademia Museum and a 5 minute walk to the Guggenheim. San Marco is a 20-minute walk away. The room is minimalist but very clean, with a comfortable bed. The room was very warm (I was travelling at the end of March and was worried about freezing, but it was not the case). The hotel has a lift. Really good internet. The staff are very friendly and were always willing to help with anything from housekeeping to recommending good restaurants nearby. The hotel also offers an optional continental breakfast for 9 euros (coffee, tea, juice, eggs, cheese, meat, pastries, cereals, jam, fruit and vegetables). Everything was fresh. You can leave your luggage in the luggage room.

All in all, I liked the whole thing. But it would be nice to replace the kettles - the one I had in my room smelt very plastic and the water had a strange flavour because of it.

The location was perfect - it's only a 5 minute walk from the real hustle and bustle which meant we could walk to everything needed, but also meant it was nice and quiet. While the rooms are very basic, it was clean and did what we needed for a short stay. It really is good value for money given how inexpensive this was in peak Italy summer.

While it is convenient that they offer breakfast onsite, it is at an extra charge and we didn't think it was quite worth it given the number of cafes nearby that were reasonably priced. We were given two single beds (we pushed these together to create a double).

Fantastic location - a 5-10 minute walk from two vaporetto stops, so it’s easy to get around while not being in the madness of the central tourist area. I suppose it is cheap for Venice, and everything worked correctly. I got some great recommendations from the front desk, and I was able to leave my luggage after I checked out which was great.

A little tired compared to other places in Italy, but (and I haven’t been able to compare with Venice, but just checking the reviews for similarly priced accommodation) I would guess it’s well provisioned for Venice. Also although it’s very easy to get around by vaporetto, it’s a good 40-ish minute walk from the train station - so I would definitely recommend arriving by water!

Excellent location: very close distance to the public transport stops and bridge over Grand Canal, museums are a five-minute walk, city center (San Marco Basilica) is fifteen minutes of a relaxed walk. Nice neighbourhood: quiet, safe, many places to have a morning coffee or an afternoon spritz. Staff is welcoming and polite. It is possible to leave luggage before checkin and after checkout. The room is big enough to unpack your luggage. There is electric kettle and tea bags are provided. Bed is comfortable, towels are clean.

The only thing I could think of is only one power socket in the room and one USB-A socket near the bed. It's not an issue, just something to consider if you have multiple electronic devices to charge

This is a lovely place in the heart of Venice. The room was very small but it had everything I needed for a one night stay. I highly recommend it for people who want to have access to Venice centre and yet have a private quiet place to stay. You can always leave your luggage after checking out. The staff were extremely helpful and nice

Just be prepared to hear people on the streets of Venice at night, and it might be right under your window. It's not anything to do with the hotel itself, but just the fact that Venice is a tourist city and has a night life.

The staff were all friendly and it's a great location with two nearby vaporetto stops and nearby stores/restaurants. Not the most luxurious, but it's a really strong budget-friendly option; especially if you're only staying for a few days. Comfortable and quiet (in my experience; I've heard other reviews disagree), and the rooftop terrace is great for relaxing.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the breakfast on the morning I had it - but didn't affect my stay at all and I would happily come again.

The location was great and the instructions to get there were very clear. The room was very spacious and better than pictured with a nice view of the canal below. I had put a note requesting a double bed if available even though we had booked a twin and the beds had been pushed together on arrival which was great! The luggage storage was excellent bonus as we had a late flight.

A mini fridge would have been useful to keep water cool. The walls were very thin so you could hear everything in the corridor and next door.
