The location was excellent, within walking distance of San Marco, very close to the vaporetto stop. The beds were very comfortable, the breakfast had a nice variety (the warm croissants were great). The staff is very nice and helpful. We had to leave very early and they prepared a small breakfast to go.

The furniture was a bit dated. The 3 flights of stairs were difficult to climb especially if you had luggage (there is a small elevator, but it was very cramped and felt unsafe). One of the evenings we had no hot water or heating, but they fixed it the following morning.

ROOM AND BATHROOM VERY SPACIOUS. NICE LAYOUT FOR BREAKFAST - I.E. TABLES AND BUFFET BREAKFAST GOOD CHOICE AND FRESH AND TASTY. A/C WORKED WELL-WINDOWS AND CANAL VIEW VVERY NICE . VERY NICE MAN MET US ON FIRST NIGHT- GAVE US GOOD MAP AND ADVICE.

LIFT VERY SMALL FOR LUGGAGE AND 2 PEOPLE - BUT V. OLD BUILDING AND DID APPRECIATE ANY LIFT, SUGGEST RECEPTIONIST SHOULD PROB ANSWER DOOR IF POSSIBLE AND GREET PEOPLE ON ARRIVAL - MOSTLY TO ADVISE RE LIFT -LUGGAGE, IF HAVING TEA FOR BREAKFAST WOULD PREFER A POT OF BOILING WATER, WATER IN FLASK NOT HOT ENOUGH I THINK.

This was a detour trip from original plans so we were looking for comfort and value - Palazzo Guardi was the right choice . The room was the perfect size for a few days , the bed comfortable , and the shower area ca good size - all exceptionally clean . What I also loved was the room’s character . Sometimes value can feel stark and the room was warm and fit a stay in Venice. You will ‘hear’ this and that - but Venice is close together and that was expected . Breakfast was just right ! The fruit was fresh and sweet (so ripe and not green). And the staff was helpful. It’s good to know there is an elevator - helps with the steps. Very happy we choose to stay here .

The location is great. Very close to the Galleria del Accademia and not too far from The Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square. There is also a Vaparetto stop at the Accademia. Rooms were large and comfortable with decent aircon. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Ottavia was very friendly and helpful.

It’s quite hard to find. The entrance is down a very narrow alleyway. The hotel reception is on the third floor so you either have to walk up several flights of stairs or take the (tiny and very slow) lift which is only really big enough for one person.

Review for Palazzo Guardi I had an excellent stay at Palazzo Guardi! The location is absolutely perfect, situated in a quiet yet central area that allows for easy exploration of Venice’s main attractions. One of the highlights of my stay was the warm hospitality of the lady assisting during breakfast. She was incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure guests were comfortable. The extra cappuccino she offered truly added a thoughtful touch to the morning experience—such small gestures make a big difference. The room was very comfortable and provided everything I needed. It was clean, well-maintained, and created a cozy atmosphere, making it almost perfect for my stay.

I have a couple of suggestions that could make the experience even better. It would be great to have some fresh salad options available during breakfast, as it would add a nice variety to the meal. Additionally, including a toothbrush in the bathroom amenities, along with the provided shower gel, would be a thoughtful touch for guests who might forget to pack one. These are minor additions that could further enhance the overall guest experience in an already fantastic setting.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was amazing, super helpful, and so personable! When we were taken to our room, we were told there were a few little welcome surprises in the refrigerator. They provided us with welcome beverages which included juice, soda, beer, water and espresso. So sweet! The location was amazing! Located right on the canal, and so many little shops, cafes, restaurants located within a short walk. We also loved the breakfast provided, and we were greeted every morning to see if we would like a specialty coffee like espresso/cappuccino. The room was spacious, and clean. It was very clear they take pride in providing a clean, and welcoming environment. Would absolutely stay again!

We loved everything as well as the staff. Room was very good. Breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful.

Did not give excellent for all because though it was specified there was a lift, there was none I am nearly 70 withBP and hauling up our luggage was difficult. Though Daniel helped when we checked in and the caretaker, when we checked out , with the luggage. Two suggestions 1. Instead of only coffee maker , please keep an option of electric kettle and tea milk sachets. 2. It would be very helpful if breakfast started earlier, at least 7.30 am if not 7.00 am.

Our bedroom was very clean and bed was comfortable. We had a side view to the canal which was beautiful. Breakfast was good, a mixture of continental and cooked buffet. Staff was attentive and friendly. Location couldn't be better, short walk to the main attractions, Basilica de São Marco, Gran Canal the Rialto Bridge and good restaurants and bars.

The breakfast area is actually the corridor outside the rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, so around 7am you are disturbed by the breakfast being setup and when you open your door, there will be guests sat down just outside. Very awkward..

Loved the size of the room and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra blankets. The table by the window was a nice touch as I could sit with a coffee looking out onto the canal. The maid was lovely and always very considerate.

The reception was very difficult to find in a side street and up 3 flights of steps in a very small lift. Once I had the key and was shown to the room it was fine. It was just the initial surprise at finding the hotel reception. If my family weren't there to meet me I may have struggled as I am elderly and wouldn't have felt safe or able to use the lift easily.

Great location, quaint room, comfortable bed (a little on the firm side but that was ok for me. I’d rather firm over soft and saggy). Short walk to Vaporetto station, friendly and very helpful staff.

Honestly, I have no complaints. You do need to be able to walk up stairs to reach reception. Again, not a problem for me but if you are mobility impaired it could be an issue. There is a small lift, but I don’t think a wheel chair would fit.
