Very boutique-y - marble/tarazzo/wood/art great breakfast view on the Grand Canal.because there were no draws, dressers or cabinets. A desk and a wardrobe to hang a few item. If you have wrinkle free clothing- it’s a nice place to stay.

I’m a little angry tho NO IRONS ALLOWED. What kind of ridiculous sense does it make not to have irons available because you’re afraid of fire?? I mean other hotels must face the same threats yet they make irons available. Someone please tell the owners irons shut off automatically these days after horizontal for 3 minutes. Or then there’s a steamer option- not heat just steam- how about offering a steamer? Just no the guy said. Nice they have 24 hour laundry service for a $$$ but they don’t even offer it on the weekend. I seriously would not stay here again just because of that. This was our third stay here. The staff is exceptional. They can’t do enough for you. The setting is fabulous—private terrace on the Grand Canal, where you can have a drink while watching the world go by. Vaporetto stop right there and walking distance to shops, sights, and restaurants.

Usually our basic room is small but comfortable. This time we were on the third floor and the room seemed smaller than usual. Also the heat level—ranging from 24 to 27 degrees Celsius made sleeping uncomfortable. Hotel air conditioning gets turned off by law in the fall, but we have always visited in the spring or fall and have never been so uncomfortable. Perhaps because heat rises and makes the situation worse the higher the floor. We used booking.com because the price was somewhat lower than the hotel website. We wondered if that was why our room was not as good as we expected from past experience.

Beautiful property and great location to restaurants, historical sites, museums and a nearby grocery store.

The A/C didn’t work to well so we opened the windows as it was cool outside but since there were no screens mosquitoes flew in the room

There is a restaurant on site that was,quite frankly as good as any we experienced in town! I’d like to call out Paulo Trevisson, who was one of the main managers and wore a lot of hats. Personable and charming, he embodied the spirit of palazzo stern as much as anything there! P.s. this place has an amazing chapel on premise and the decor was more beautiful than the pictures give credit to! I would recommend the palazzo stern to anyone without hesitation!

Always dreamed of staying in Italian splendor in Venice, and the Palazzo Stern made my wishes come true. It is so beautiful and far away from the tourist trap area. There is a water taxi drop off right at the door and a much cheaper water bus stop just steps away. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The cleaning and restaurant staff were exceptional and always had a friendly greeting and great service. Since we booked so late, we were separated from the rest of the family who stayed in the touristy area. Lucky for us. No music keeping us up at night. We had complimentary breakfast on the terrace on the canal. The food and view were exceptional. Highly recommend!

Our room was quite small, but what do you expect when you book the week before? All the good rooms were taken, and we were ok with that.

The room was great, with a beautiful view of the river. It was a little warm but we just opened the window. It was big and comfortable, my only complaint would be the pillows. We each only had one and it was very soft. I would say the price was in line with costs we paid across Italy, however, for the price it would have been nice if breakfast was included, there was the option to purchase, however it was a bit spendy if you just wanted something small. The staff was wonderful, very kind and helpful. The location was great, easy to jump on the water bus or walk. We had a lovely time in Venice, despite the rain.

My only complaints were pillows on beds, room was a little warm, and no breakfast included. Nothing major, we had a lovely time.

The hotel is right on the Grand Canal with a water ferry stop just outside the hotel and just down a small alley is the Leonardo D’ Vinci Museum. The breakfasts were absolutely lovely. Dinners at the hotel are convenient and not far away are other options. Our room was large and had a lovely bathroom; beds were comfortable. The lift was great because my husband uses a walker, so that was a must have for us.

There’s one wish that I had was for more vegetarian options on the dinner menu.

Dorsoduro is a great place to stay out of the thick of the tourist bustle. The hotel is located on the canal right next to the Ca'rezzonico stop. Close to the Peggy Gugenheim museum and many great authentic restaurants. We enjoyed walking to St Marks square as well as using both the ferry service and water taxi. Comfortable bed, helpful staff. We booked a superior double room. Didn't eat at the hotel so unable to review dining there. Hotel helped with booking some restaurants as well as an early morning water taxi service to the airport on departure.

The aircon was set very high and was difficult to adjust- probably should have asked hotel staff to assist.

Stunning location with easy access to waterway transport literally next door, beautiful property and very friendly and attention staff, would stay here again without a doubt. Passed the grand canal and didn't see any other hotel with a terrace as stunning or as big as here, perfect to relax with drinks at the end of the day watching the boats pass by.

Good location. Really helpful friendly staff. Good continental breakfast. Clean, comfortable fresh towels every day.

Dinner was a bit pricey at 70 euro per person per night. We gave that a miss. Spoilt for choice for restaurants nearby so did not need to have evening meal in the hotel.
