Hotel Tivoli is a family-run hotel that is very well located! It’s steps away from Tonolo pasticceria and several very good eating places. We stayed in room 35 on the top floor. There is no elevator, so be aware that luggage must be carried up two flights of stairs. The room was very clean and everything was great. The breakfast is not fancy, but they serve fresh pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea. I would definitely stay here again. I especially appreciated the very clear communication about filling out the exemption form for the city access tax.

Everything was great!

Simple hotel in a good location in the city. Less than 5 minutes walk from the S. Toma stop (where the night bus also stops). The room was good and clean, the bathroom was not big but everything worked fine. Important the bed was good, maybe for some people a bit too hard, but better than a sagging mattress. The hotel door can be opened 24 hours a day using a code.

The breakfast was not great as stated in other reviews. If you really value a good breakfast in your hotel then you should not be here. I just quickly had something to eat and took advantage of all the bars and restaurants in the city itself for something tasteful. What could really be better is the coffee, I was also aware of this but for Italian standards this is really bad (Excellent coffee 10 second walk from the hotel 😂).

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Hotel Tivoli from day one of booking, receiving information concerning travel to the hotel, which transportation to take etc. We were welcomed on arrival and we had help with our suitcases. There was a delicious breakfast included that was a bonus, we were unaware. The staff were very helpful, we needed extra electrical extensions for our CPAP machines, we were given maps and information concerning the Vaporetto. The room was maintained daily, beds made, garbage emptied etc. The location was excellent, only a 10 minute walk to the train and bus station and a 25minute walk to St. Marc's square.

We knew that we had booked a small room, however it was smaller than expected. The shared toilet and shower room was very small, it was manageable for us however not for a larger person.

It was a great location -- very convenient to get around to different parts of Venice. The staff were helpful with instructions for getting in and out, especially out of hours, and the included breakfast was lovely and felt homey. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean.

The hot water took a while to heat up and there was no air conditioning (that we could find/worked?) so the room got warm sometimes. There were windows in the room that allowed for great ventilation, but we opted to keep them closed as we had a few mosquitoes, unfortunately! Not the hotel's fault, though.

Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—everyone was so friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure we had the best experience possible. The room itself was immaculate, clean, and very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. We particularly appreciated the cozy atmosphere and thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The hotel is situated in a fantastic part of Venice, nestled in a lively yet charming area. There’s so much to explore nearby, with beautiful canals, quaint shops, and delicious restaurants just around the corner. Despite being in the heart of it all, the location was surprisingly peaceful and not overly crowded, which allowed us to enjoy the vibrant surroundings without feeling overwhelmed by tourists. It was the perfect balance of being close to all the action while still offering a calm, relaxing retreat. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to Venice!

Overall, our stay at the hotel was fantastic, but there was one small issue worth mentioning. The only downside we encountered was that the floors seemed a bit thin, and we could hear the slightest movement from the room above, as well as footsteps and sounds in the hallways at night. While this didn’t significantly affect our overall experience, it was occasionally noticeable when things were particularly quiet. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise wonderful stay. The hotel’s comfort, cleanliness, and prime location far outweighed this small inconvenience, and we would definitely return again in the future.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful; close enough to a vaporetto stop and easy walking distance to all the main attractions, but hidden away in the little alleyways of Venice. The view from our room was of the peaceful courtyard, with trees and greenery. The breakfast service was exceptional; a typical Italian breakfast buffet, in a lovely room with a courtyard view. The server pulled fresh espresso for us, without any limitations, and always with a smile.

The pillows are quite flat and dense, which seems to be typical in Italy; bring your own if you want something softer or loftier.

Staff were good, they did the wake up call. Breakfast was nice and simple. I appreciate the "after hour" access code, which allowed me to get in and out of the hotel whenever I want. Only negative is that they don't have vendor machine, when I really needed water. I googled for water and found water foundation to filled my bottle.

No vendor machine. The flies! Make sure your windows isn't open. The bathroom window was already opened, so flies got in quickly when I put light on. The bed was all right, but I cannot really complain too much. Great spot. Nice staff and the breakfast wasn't bad. Enough to filled up my stomach.

We loved the breakfast, traditional Italian pastries, many juices and options for breakfast (cheese, meats, juices yogurts, bread (toast), tea, coffee, pastries, fruit cocktail, coco pops, museli and cornflakes, lots of tea selection, , friendly staff, nice big rooms, big nice bathrooms. There were gluten free options; biscuits, bars, muffins, (would be great to have a gluten free bread option). So helpful and great English and other languages. We could store luggage and come and go, we could check in early and the staff were fabulous!

We had 2 single beds tied together instead of a double bed and you could feel the divide in the bed. Maybe a double mattress topper would have provided the comfort /illusion of comfort of the double bed. Beds were nice and firm. Extra bedding in the cupboard which was great! A little fridge would be great (we were in 30 plus degrees) would have been lively to have a bottle of still water. The wifi wasn't good and we struggled to get anything off it.

I booked on behalf of close relative. I wanted to make sure she would have all amenities listed in the booking and Hotel Tivoli exceeded expectations. I have only good things to say for the communication, the willingness to help, the requests' fulfillment and I thank them for everything. You will not regret it if you book at Tivoli. As for the hotel review itself, as conveyed from the visitors, is as follows: the cleanliness of the room was FANTASTIC, the room was as expected and the hotel stuff was very polite and extremely helpful. The location is right in the heart of Venice, next to one of the most lively areas of the city which is also affordable. The building was obviously old, but this didn't affect the rating of this review.

The main issue for the visitors was the breakfast. The quality was mediocre, some of the offered foods were prepacked with anything this means (conservatives, low quality etc). Butter, marmalade, cakes etc. Yet, it was good enough in terms of quantity to start the day, if you don't mind eating just for the shake of eating. The above should be looked in relation to the booking cost. To us, the price was vfm (for Venice standards), but in general the price was just ok for a normal visitor and other dates had very expensive price. We were lucky with that. But for such high prices, a better breakfast would be a great improvement.

Run by lovely staff, able to speak multiple languages so no language barrier. Wifi throughout the hotel & a lovely variety of foods for breakfast and indoor/outdoor seating. Lovely and cool room with comfortable bed and on suite bathroom. There is also housekeeping so you get fresh towels during your stay and our bed was remade on our second night.

The hotel reception is not 24 hours which wasn’t a problem for us but others may find this as a negative thing for security or convenience reasons. My partner also said sometimes the shower went cold randomly but it was an easy fix.
