Before we ever arrived, the host was terrific answering all our questions about arrival and location. Upon arrival in Venice we were warmly welcomed immediately by the property manager who showed us around and explained everything about the building and the area. He was very helpful to us with arranging a private taxi to pick us up right form the private dock at the end of our stay and answering all our questions about the area and this beautiful historic building. We loved the location right on the grand canal and only a very short walk to & from San Toma pier for the public boats! Campo S. Tomas also had a very nice restaurant for dinner, a cafe' and there were several options for other eats/ drinks and shopping very close! The area was less crowded than Rialto but also close enough to easily walk to Rialto if you wanted the night life. The room itself has everything you could need for an extended stay, except for washer & dryer. We were very entertained watching the boats go by on the canal. Beautiful view!

The bed was extra firm, but honestly we were so tired from all the walking we could have slept anywhere. The shower is very tight, too small to bend over and reach your feet.

The pillows weren't very comfortable. Everything else was great, though.

Excellent location, wonderful view, very authentic Italian experience. We enjoyed every bit of it!
