Location was excellent, quiet but convenient to everything, including the bus and train stations. We had a canal view which was magical! The staff (owners?) were so kind and welcoming. The (common) terrace was a peaceful spot to relax in the afternoon. The hotel had a charming old Venice feel to it.

It was quiet tight and the bed was not very comfortable. A desk and large armoire could be replaced with more thoughtful small-space storage to make the most of the small rooms. Also we lucked out with the canal view, which they could not guarantee - if we didn’t have it, I don’t know that I would give the place as high a rating.

Perfect location to attractions and delicious food.Also, it's closed to the train and bus station.The hotel itself has a vintage interior with his cons and prons.

There was only one problem it's a heating, outside was + 11 at night, when we asked to turn on heating service personnel of the hotel said they couldn't turn it on but they said that they try to fix the issue and we got heating in afternoon for maybe one hour, rest of the days my wife freezed moreover she is pregnant. I don't know why the administration of the hotel didn't want to solve this problem(which was clearly obvious) because I think it's not a technical issue. Perhaps it related to saving money if not, why no one maintains the technical condition of their heating system. In general,in the morning we sneezed and coughing with other guests, in addition we arrived home and got cold both.

The hotel is conveniently located near the bus station, and there are plenty of nice restaurants with reasonable prices nearby. It's a bit of a walk to the main tourist attractions, but manageable. Our room was spacious, with authentic-style furniture and a steady supply of hot water. We had a lovely view of the canal from the window. After check-out, we were allowed to leave our luggage at the reception, which we really appreciated.

Breakfast was very modest — if you're used to having a hearty morning meal, you might be disappointed.

Lovely, decent sized, comfortable room with a view over the canal. On a quiet calle just off one of the main routes to Plle Roma, but you wouldn’t know it. Quiet air conditioning. Slept really well. Breakfast was decent - enough to keep us going until some well earned cicchetti at lunchtime. Staff were welcoming and helpful. There’s a lovely terrace available for guests during the day - sadly we didn’t get the chance to take advantage of it. My first stay at the Santa Croce end of town, but I doubt it’ll be our last. I’m sure we’ll use Hotel dalla Mora again if it’s available for our next trip.

This hotel wears its one star with pride. It's as advertised and as we expected, so no complaints there. The seagulls are loud :) but the neighbourhood is cool: busy during the day but rather quiet during the night. We stayed during the weekend of the Festa del Redentore and even then the nights were calm, because it's off the main street. I would recommend. The beds were comfy. The breakfast is very basic but it's fine: two fresh buns and a croissant per person, filter coffee, orange juice, milk, 2 kinds of cereals, butter, jam, honey. Of course a little refurbishing would be nice, but they are obviously full and have no time to close down for renovations.

You can hear everyone going to the shared toilet - the room door should be better/thicker considering the concept of "shared toilet" and that four rooms are facing each other and the toilet in question at an arm's length. The room door is just an ordinary house room door, so they don't block any sound: you cannot tell is sb is opening the toilet door or your room door. I'd have loved it if the terrace was open a bit longer, until 21 for instance. It's a nice terrace to have a seat and enjoy the evening, not much to do in your room once you get there after a whole day of touristy walking.

The room was cozy and perfect for rest and sleep. The location was excellent, just a 10-12 minute walk from Venice Train Station. There were plenty of great cafes and restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab a bite or explore the area. And just from our window, we could see the canal - what a beautiful view! The staff were super courteous and friendly, which added to the overall warmth of our stay. A big plus was the breakfast they served, especially appreciated on a rainy day (Day 2 of our stay was a downpour!). It really made our stay more comfortable.

Fantastic location, about 10 minutes from the train station and in a bit of a quieter area compared to the main spots. Lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby. Breakfast was simple but nice and included eggs which was a nice bonus. Staff very friendly and gave some great food recommendations. Clean room with a nice view.

Only one shared bathroom per floor, I think 4 rooms per floor, so sometimes we had to wait quite a while to get in to use the bathroom.

The location is perfect, and not far at all from the train station. It’s in a quiet area but still has plenty of restaraunts and shops. The breakfast was simple but delicious - freshly baked croissants and rolls, eggs, cereals, tea, coffee, juice and hot chocolate. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We opted for the shared bathroom which was always exceptionally clean and was located just outside our room. There was also a sink in the room which was perfect to wash my face and brush my teeth. The staff were all lovely and welcoming. Great value for money

Great location! Easy access to the train and bus stations. Only a short walk to main attractions and there are great restaurants near by. Comfy bed and pillows. Very clean and well maintained. The property is older and it’s like going back in time to the 60s or so but it is very well looked after. The breakfast was simple but great. Staff were very lovely. For a 1 star hotel it exceeded my expectations, I think it’s nicer than the pictures online, and I have quite high cleanliness standards etc. beautiful views over the canals if you get a corner room.

Nothing I can think of. However it’s funny that the shower is in the middle of the room (didn’t bother us at all) but beware if you’re travelling with a friend haha.

Hotel Dalla Mora was a fantastic find. The location couldn’t be better, right at the entrance of Venice, so easy to reach when you arrive, but also central enough that you can explore the whole city on foot. It’s located directly on a canal, which adds a really special atmosphere. The room was spotless, nicely furnished, and had everything I needed, including a hairdryer. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome from the start. For the location, cleanliness, and comfort, the value is excellent. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel lucky to have discovered it. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Venice.
