A wonderful hotel. Excellent location, with the option to leave your car nearby (in a special garage 400-600 meters away). It is 1.2 km to St. Mark's Square. You can also take a vaporetto along the canal. The hotel is clean, and the breakfasts are good. In my opinion, the hotel deserves 4 stars, I recommend it.

Our room was lovely. The ceiling had wooden beams and the room overlooked the courtyard. Everything was very clean and the staff were helpful both when we arrived and throughout our stay. An ideal base for exploring Venice. Top Tip: get the 24 hour Water Bus ticket and visit Murano/Burano.

I wouldn't recommend drinking in the bar. Only one person was on duty during our stay, and service was unbelievably slow. We are a party of 6 - 2 of them finished their drinks before the others arrived (they weren't drinking quickly). A far better alternative is to pop through to the local square where there are lots of friendly restaurants and bars.

The convenience of this hotel was the main reason we chose it - it's a 5 minute walk from the bus station in Venice, which is how we arrived from the airport, and just a little longer to walk to the train station, which is how we left. You have to cross a few bridges with suitcases, but generally super easy. From the hotel on foot, you can walk anywhere or 4 minutes to the nearest vaporetto. The breakfast was quite good, but they also keep their bar and a la carte food bar open late, which was perfect for us one night we got back late and didn't feel like looking for a restaurant. We were able to order some very reasonably priced food and drinks at 9pm and sit in the quiet and beautiful courtyard. The room was very large and comfortable. They held our bags all day the day we checked out for no extra charge.

The staff was exceptional. especially upon arrival. Not only in providing information in regards to the facilities. but so much information in regards to Venice that mad it easier to navigate and enjoy our time there. Location to everything was excellent and the breakfast was a plus

we were a bit surprised upon arriving as to the number of bridges we had to cross. we had to rent porters to carry the luggage. In addition the amount of the water taxi to the airport. $180.00 euros. I know this isn't in the control of your facility. If we had known prior to our arrival perhaps we could have made other choices.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Venice! The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable experience. Breakfast was included in the room rate and exceeded expectations—fresh, tasty, and the perfect start to the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and local tips. One of the highlights was the bar's terrace—stylish, cozy, and full of atmosphere, making it a great spot to unwind in the evenings. The location couldn’t be better—close to major attractions but still peaceful enough to relax. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return someday!

The location will very convenient, especially in case of late flight, the hotel is in walking distance from the bus station. The staff is very friendly, ready to help with everything. There was a complementary water in minibar. The breakfast was very good with lot of local food choices and fresh fruit juice.

The rooms are little bit outdated.

Hotel was of a very high standard, easily accessible with a lift to the room. Great views over the canals if you have a canal view room. Room decoration itself showed its age but was in keeping with the hotel and honestly does not detract from the quality of the hotel room as it is still done to a very high specification. Bathroom was excellent although shower ceiling was a little low. Breakfast in the courtyard was a lovely start to the day and the hotel is well located to get to a good selection of attractions. We stayed in this hotel for one side of the island and went to another hotel on the other side of the island so we could explore all of Venice.

Lovely canal view from our room. Location convenient to lots of places to visit. Good that there is only one bridge to cross from train station with cases.

Very expensive given the dated interior. Had junior suite with a cot. Bathroom shower sprayed water all over floor. Toliet flush botton was falling off. Hairdryer dated needs replacing, keeps shutting off. Small tv and only in one room. Fridge was not cold. Would stay in trieste maestre and walk in. If visiting. The cost of hotels in santa croce and around St Marks rediculously overpriced for the amentites you recieve. If you are a middle income family dont bother staying on the main parts of island. For the amount i paid for two nights i had a beautiful apartment in trieste for 6 nights. Two nights is more then enough in venice.

Best of the best! Thirteen years ago I came to Venice with my family. We were on a cruise for 2 nights here so I didn’t stay in any hotels. This year we decided to include Venice in our itinerary and Palazzo Marcelo had great reviews. And how wonderful it is when the reality is even better than the reviews!!! The only downside is the carpets in the bedroom (which an allergy medication takes care of). Now let’s talk about the wonders of this hotel: extremely helpful and kind staff (specially Lucia-front desk), superb breakfast (the video is a little bit fast because I was already late 😅🫣). They also have a charming patio and some great seating areas on each floor. A plus: they have an elevator!!! It’s small but it does the job. Ohhh and split air conditioner in the bedroom. Location is great! 12 min walk from train station! If you’ve never been to Venice, be prepared to walk a lot or spend lots of money on taxi boats. They have multiple bridges connecting the land parts but they’re not ordinary bridges, they have steps all over. So it’s like climbing arches stairs. Which can be too tricky when carrying large bags.
