Very close to the Station Venice Santa Lucia, 5min walk without bags 10min with bags ( stairs & 1.5 bridges) Reception is in a different hotel still very close And clear directions were given. Vaporetto line 2 will get you home, and it's up the Grand Canal. Tip: Get a Vaporetto/water bus pass for the duration of your stay. 1 3 5 7 days can be bought at the tourist information at the train station. Water taxi to the Mecure hotel (it's on the opposite side of the canal). Breakfast options: x2 in the little plaza 2 doors down. Opening at 7.30 closes 21.00/22.00. There are many if you wander further. Approl Spritz at sunset with a little snack, sweet or savoury. Remember, anytime is gelati time! Cicchetti bars: Don't waste money on a tour unless you are time poor. See something you might like - stand at the bar - pay/eat/go. The same applies to having a coffee or spritz.

Nothing it was heaven. But for light sleepers - be warned the bell will wake you up at 7am. And the delivery boats start earlier. It's the charm of being in Venice

The spacious room overlooking the canal - beautiful

We had to check-in at another property to get our keys. The other hotel was around a 10 minute walk which doesn’t sound much but in the heat with heavy suitcases and two children - it was inconvenient.

The location is only a 100m or so from the grand canal and very near the bus depot and railway station, I was able to come out the front door and take in the vibes of Venice.

The hotel does not have a sign up or a reception. An A4 notice on the door has the telephone number and address of a nearby hotel where I needed to check in, Then I was given the door code and room key location. That said the rooms are superb and the location is excellent.

The reception team was very cooperative . The hotel is look a old from outside. I think it is the beauty of venice to maintain old buildings, but it was quite maintained from inside. My room was on the third floor, with a wooden archilogical heavy handmade door,with beautiful handcrafting. The room inside was very pleasant and clean. The double bed was very wide, soft, and comfortable. The room has windows with fresh air and scenic views, air-conditioning, heater, and TV. The bathroom was super clean and equipped with nesscceites. Our room feels like you are staying in somw 4-star hotel. There was a nice clean and very wide terrace infront of the room where you could enjoy the canal view. The location was around 8 minutes walk from Saint Lucia train station and easily accessible. The person at reception was very cooperative and responsive via booking.com as well as on what's app. I will highly recommend this stay with budget( paid 84 euro at the end of Feb 2025, like outseason rate)

The sofa bed was not comfortable for kids, Instead, a 2 -stage dometry bed will be more comfortable . The reception area needs a bit of clean and modern touch with good lighting.

I have to admit that this was one of the most magnificent stays in Venice. Location & room - 10/10. Apart from everything being perfect, I want to highlight Glen - the man who served breakfast for the whole week. He is so genuine in what he does and treats the guests with such care. Every morning he we had small chats about how our trip is going & he remembered what was talked before and that made us feel very welcomed and warm. If I was in hotel administration or management team, I would protect Glen at all costs to keep him in my team.

The host was another great plus: always attentive, responding quickly to all my questions, and giving me useful recommendations for the area. I truly felt at home. As we understood, the hotel had some water supply issues, so upon arrival we were relocated to another hotel. They upgraded our room and added breakfast. We were happy with the room – it was clean, spacious, with daily cleaning and everything we needed. The area was the same as we had originally planned to stay in, close to the train station and the vaporetto stop, which was very convenient. The hotel staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable, and we truly appreciated it.

– You need to check in at another hotel, which is inconvenient if you have luggage since you need to cross a bridge. – The room was missing a kettle. Other than that, I recommend this place 🙌🏻

We were moved from Ca’ Dei Polo to the Hotel Canal, however I was informed of this 24 hours prior to check-in so went straight to Hotel Canal. I think this is something the hotel consistently does as I’ve read it in almost every review so was expecting this before I got the message. Don’t know why they do this but personally, I loved the room we were given - it was directly in front of the Grand Canal, but because the room had wooden shutters and a window, all the noise was blocked out and was virtually silent when we were sleeping which was great. Lots of amenities provided - slippers, bath towel and hand towel, bath mat, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower cap, and shampoo and body wash. I was not expecting that! The room did have A/C but it was rather ineffective, however a very modern fan was provided which was almost silent, so that in combination with the A/C made for a great nights sleep. Great location too, especially if you arrive by train like we did.

Bathroom in desperate need of refurbishment - the bath tub had a poorly done silicone job around the bath which made it look a bit gross, but in all honesty it was clean, it just needs a bit of updating :)

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel! The room was fully equipped with everything we needed — even more than we expected. One of the highlights was the beautiful view from the window, which really added to the Venetian atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally kind, polite, and attentive — a big thank you to them. Breakfasts were delicious and varied, making our mornings feel cozy and pleasant. I also want to highlight how comfortable the bed was. The mattress was surprisingly soft and cozy — unlike the typically hard ones you often find in hotels — and I honestly slept like a baby. The furniture, while old, felt like it belonged in a museum — it added a special charm and helped preserve the authentic feel of Venice. The location of the hotel was another great advantage. It’s within walking distance of the city center and major attractions, and at the same time, it’s very close to the bus station, which made getting to the airport extremely convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the wonderful experience — we would definitely come back!

We wanted to be located near to the Tronchetto as we were travelling on a transfer bus to a cruise ship so the location was perfect. It was a short walk to the people mover. We walked around Venice which wasn't a long walk. The room was beautiful, very spacious and clean no complaints.

The check in was at a sister hotel which was a ten minute walk away. The outside appearance was not the best when we arrived. It was self entry via a given code on check in and collection of key as reception in hotel closed so not a real problem
