The location is very close to the buss station and also close to some restaurants, It was easy to find, the staff was ok, room clean and with necessities.

The room quite small, the hair dryer old and barely functional, it took ages to dry your hair. A big minus is that they don’t have window protection for mosquitoes and I assumed they will, being a hotel. The breakfast was exactly the same every day, it will help to bring some diversity.

The hotel upgraded us to the Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal which turned into much nicer accommodations. The building and its furnishings were noticeably older and a little worn but were still impressive in its ostentatious baroque opulence. The staff was more than pleasant and offered great information. But perhaps the most important aspect was the hotel's convenient location across the Grand Canal from the San Lucia Train station.

Aside from the oppressive heat and humidity, which had nothing to do with the hotel, nothing.

Everything was good except for the room signage. My room was on the 1st floor inside a door with no signage indicating more rooms. I looked for my room, which in the email was described as number 17 in the entire building, and there was no room 17. The rooms ended at number 16. We were lost for 30 minutes until we luckily found a staff member who was changing towels and he showed us. We tried calling the number that came in the email and no one answered. That was really annoying, the email didn't have the correct signage. But otherwise, everything was good.

Excellent location a very short walk from Venice's bus and train stations; about 20 minutes' walk from the Rialto Bridge. Substantial buffet breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old fashioned charm in a quiet alleyway but only a stone's throw from major attractions and transport links.

Beds could do with more bedding/ duvets. Venice is quite chilly in the winter and a sheet and thin blanket wasn't quite enough.

It's an old fashioned hotel. The place is very close to the train station and very clean. The receptionist who checked us in at 1pm was rather cold and business like, but the one who was on duty on the day we checked out was simply delightful. It's interesting how the staff attitude can totally change our perception of the place. Overall we've enjoyed our stay.

Wifi details were on the reception counter but not in the room. I picked up the phone to ask but the phone was not connected! There was no kettle to boil water for a cup of tea and no drinking glass either. The bathroom was well equipped with shampoo etc though.

The perice! When compared to general Venice market; it might seem cheaper. But -as everything in Venice- the price is so much more than it deserves

The location was great - very close to the Venezia Santa Lucia train station (easy walk across the bridge). The staff were mostly super friendly, and there was a really nice feel about the place. The room was on the small size, but fine for the location, and we put our luggage in the wardrobe. I would definitely stay again. We had the breakfast the first day - it was pretty good for 10 euro, and a good way to start a busy day.

There were a couple of things you might expect in an older hotel - the shower leaked (shower over bath), even though we had the glass doors around all the time - seemed to end up with a puddle on the bathroom floor each time!

Hotel was easy to locate and walking distance from the central train station. We liked the toilet as it has a bidet, which is not common in Europe.

No complimentary water, I dont know if this is a thing for European hotels. A water dispenser would be nice or a kettle. It has one at the lobby but by 10pm, the water is already cold.

The room was a little basic but exceptionally clean. The bathroom was clean as well with all kinds of soaps and towels always present and replaced everyday. The bed was made every day too. The staff was really nice and helpful. Altogether the room is absolutely worth a recommendation, for its price it's really worth it.

The window in the specific room we were in was facing a laundry machine of some residents in the neighboring building, so sometimes it was a little loud with the window open. The AC was really strong but seemingly lacked any way of controlling it. No matter the setting it was just cooling the room as much as it could.
