The location is amazing. We had room 202 which has a balcony on the side canal while a balcony just outside the room opens on the side canal with a view of the main canal. A river taxi stop is 3 minutes away and the train station is less than 10 minutes walk. The hotel has its own boat house where a taxi boat took us to the airport (price for family of 4 with 4 large suitcases was €140, a bit dear but unmissable) Comfortable beds Very spacious room that accommodated a sitting area with a sofa and 2 chairs Very clean Very good air conditioning Very friendly staff especially Narcissiso who was brilliant. Breakfast was the only let down. Very minamilist to the extent you have to ask for individual teabags, pieces of bread and even for a spoon. At €20 per person per night it's not really worth it. On the plus side just round the corner there's a lovely cafeteria which does a good breakfast selection at half the price.

Breakfast in the garden overlooking the Canal was spectacular. Appreciated the convenient but quiet location so very close to the train station making arrival and departure a breeze.

Unfortunately, my husband had an injury while in Venice and the hotel was unwilling to accommodate our early departure request — 1 day — (which was their prerogative given its booking.com guidelines). The inflexibility was unfortunate and we felt did reflect on the management of the hotel property given the extenuating circumstances. Disappointed and created a huge inconvenience.

The location is fantastic, with a beautiful garden overlooking the canal - you can watch gondolas passing right in front of you. The historic details like wooden ceilings, marble floors and antique furniture give the hotel a unique charm. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Breakfast was not included and cost €20 per person, but luckily there are many nice cafés just around the corner where you can have a good breakfast. Some furniture felt mismatched - for example, a modern wardrobe and twin beds didn’t really fit the elegant historic style of the room.

We were unaware that, as our room was classed as 'standard' there were no tea or coffee making facilities. Our room on the ground floor was adjacent to the reception desk, so quite noisy. Ironing in the room was 'strictly forbidden' so no ironing facilities and as laundry charges started at €5 for a single pair of underwear this was not the best option.

The secluded wall area of the property and the beautiful garden that one side has sitting area right on the Grand Canal. It is also within short walk from train station and Piazza Roma. The whole hotel was displayed with family heirlooms from around the World and from Italian itself. The room is airy, nice bathroom with strong water pressure, aircon that automatically set at 22 during daytime but to F 1(I don’t know what it means) during the night. We stayed during cool weather so we didn’t have any problem and slept very comfortably. The BF was tasty and good. We stayed in room 204 and we love the classic and charming old floor, furnitures and nostalgic feeling. We will absolutely choose to stay here again if we come back to Venice. Welcoming and helpful staff, clean, comfortable and well-appointed room, and a beautifully tended property. The room was smallish but perfectly fine for 2 adults. It was at the intersection of 2canals but was sufficiently remote to be quiet and restful. Given the maze that is Venice, the location was about as good as it gets—far enough from the crowds but no more than about 15 minutes by foot to most of what we wanted to see. The garden in back was lovely—just wish you could eat breakfast out there.

Room could have been a little better for spreading out, but that’s true of 90% of the European hotels I’ve stayed in. Would have been nice if the garden was more utilized.

Hotel is located in the historic palace directly at the Grand Canal just across the railway station. Building is beautiful both from exterior and interior, with a lot of art works: paintings, mosaics, historic furniture, etc. Very good breakfast is included. Location is close to all kinds of commute: train, bus, vaporetto. There is a porter service from train station to the hotel. Hotel staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

The hotel is beautiful and just like the photos we loved coming back after exploring Venice and have a drink in the garden overlooking the canal would highly recommend just be aware that if you arrive by train you need to cross over the bridge which had manu steps to get to the hotel we used the porter when leaving and it was much easier to get back to the station but would definitely stay there again

Would not get a room with a jacuzzi it was too hard to shower as the hand held did not stretch high enough to have a shower

It was stunning, such a romantic getaway! The room with the terrace was well with the extra cost and the breakfast was amazing. The location was brilliant and the rose garden overlooking the canal was stunning. The room had lots of character and history.

We had a few people try to get onto our private terrace. Perhaps they could add a code so it is truly private.

Location is perfect. Next to train station. You can easily reach the hotel even with large luggage. Not far away. Also, the staff-perfect. Breakfast was balanced with fresh products. Had beautiful garden by the canal. Room was clean and tidy with nice toiletries.

Some of the guests can be noisy and since the hotel is small you can hear it easily in the room. But, that’s not hotel’s problem, it is about unethical guests.
