The location was excellent, at the end of a quiet and clean alley near the railway station. Quick access to vaporettos in all directions. The building must have been fully renovated at some point, there was not a trace of mustiness inside. The flooring and the tiles also seemed quite new and were squeaky clean. My room on the third floor had a balcony overlooking a small enclave of a park and the single bed was adequatly cosy for my 6'2'' frame. The staircase was carpeted solid stone with wrought iron handrail not some creaky, rickety wooden structure that gives off a racket in the night. The staff, young friendly local people were most helpful and went out of their way to assist me.

One of the things I could mention was poor sound proofing. The doors were just too flimsy and without a rubber sealing around the frame, plus the old style locks rattled quite a bit. The nature of stone buildings is that unproofed they have bad acoustics, luckily the guests were quiet enough. Also, my room was monkishly tiny w/o a private bathroom so I would not recommend it for a prolonged stay, but I suppose it was just part of the genuine venetian ambiance. Around here there is a different ratio of value for money to other popular destinations, one has to consider.

The best part is the location, and we were glad we booked it before crossing all the bridges (we already knew about them). There is no elevator, but that was expected since it’s a very old city with historic buildings.

On the downside, the walls and doors are quite thin, so we could hear other guests, which was a bit annoying. The room itself isn’t very spacious, but if you’re planning to spend all day inside a Venice hotel, this probably isn’t the right place for you.

Great location, easy to check in (we had to do a late check in and the staff were helpful and accommodating), room was quiet and perfect size for two of us with a large wardrobe and sink and mirror in the room, which was helpful given the bathrooms are separate and shared by all. Mattress could’ve been slightly comfier and two pillows per person provided rather than one. But all in all a pleasant stay and we would come back!

One of the bathrooms had a broken shower stand but it wasn’t an issue as the bathroom next to it was in great condition.

The location is the best. The hotel is tiny and cute. I paid a cheap price and I think it was fair. The beds were comfortable and the room was really clean. There was a lot of space for storage, and the staff was very kind.

We had a little issue with shower drain not draining, and we flooded the room 1 time. But my brother sorted that out and the stay was flawless after that.

Everything was well put together and the air conditioner worked perfectly.

There was some strange high pitched beep that would sound for about ten seconds every minute or so that got louder at night. I don't know where it was coming from but I needed to use a white noise app on my phone to drown it out. Not sure if it was inside the building or if it was something outside of their control and temporary.

Amazing location and the staff were wonderful and pleasant to deal with. Only a 5 minute walk from Venice train station. Would stay again in the future because of the location and ease of check in.

The washroom did have a slight smell but keeping the door closed will suffice. Not really any facilities but we knew this was a basic hotel (pretty much to be used to sleep and shower in).

Wonderful location next to Santa Lucia train station and right off the main strip! Close to everything wonderful breakfast places, and just the charm of Venice! Cris Lennon and we had our bathroom in our room which is a major plus!

Really nothing to complain. The hotel was more than accommodating was our late arrival!

Excellent location, room was basic but clean and cleaned every day with new towels etc. Shared bathrooms also clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great to be able to store luggage at hotel too.

Pillow was very thin but not a big issue really.

This no frills one star hotel was perfect for us. Gave us what we needed and nothing more. The location was perfect; being close to shops, station, cafes and bars, but down a blind Calle just long enough to mean we had no noise. The bed was great and we slept well.

The friendly staff and atmosphere, and that the hotel was central but still very quiet, so it was possible to relax. The hotel is fairly close to the bus and train stations, in Venice you either has to drag your luggage or pay an expensive transport. The area is also a bit less crowded than other areas, it is possible to move around in this area.
