Location, comfortable, close to all places, and clean. Great breakfast too.

The receptionist was not ready to take the city tax via card. They wanted cash so that they can consume all the city tax into their own pockets. I requested and the receptionist lady said that if I pay using card, I will have to pay almost 1.5x. This is crazy. I am traveling all of Europe since past 4 months and no hotel literally asked me pay tax in cash. Please rectify this.

Breakfast was good. The hotel was a bit rundown.

I noticed that the rate I was paying was significantly higher than the rate advertised for the hotel while I was there. I found it was on offer for $125.00 a night for some of the time and, I think, $150.00 on Christmas Day. I paid more. I was redirected to another hotel the first night due to renovations or something like this This hotel (Hotel Belle Arti Dorsoduro ) was excellent although I incurred costs ( baggage storage, two vaporetto rides) in getting there. To the credit of Hotel Belle Epoque staff did reach me by phone in a timely way to advise of the change. I found all the staff at Belle Epoque courteous and helpful/

Excellent location. It is a 3 min walk from the central train station and public transport barge pier. Excellent, varied breakfast offer. The hotel has a beautiful interior and the walls are decorated with fabric. Cabinet doors are decorated with paintings. The double beds are wide and comfortable.

The floor carpet is old and cannot be cleaned. This should be changed. When you enter the room, you can feel the strong aroma of cheap perfumes. This is probably due to the drainage. There are stains on the wall fabric that should be cleaned.

The location is excellent, you can walk everywhere, but there is also a vaporetto stop, a bus station and a train station next to the hotel. Very good restaurants nearby (as well as tourist traps, but you don't have to eat in them). The room needs repair, the wallpaper and carpet are dirty. The bathroom is tired. Everything looks better and cleaner in photos than in reality. Breakfast was ok, there was egg and bacon, yogurt and croissants, of course also ham and cheese. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable and big. The temperature in the room was cool (we were in this hotel in November), we couldn't get the heating to work, that was the only real minus. Ok, I would also complain about the cleanliness, but the room just needs repair. The location was super good and the price was ok, so next time I will choose the same hotel. So actually I recommend this hotel.

Location was excellent. The breakfast was really great. The decor was unusual, quirky and different to anything I've previously experienced. Staff were in general, helpful and friendly, although on arrival, there were some minor problems, things were not as expected, and the person in reception was unbending in that he was unable to provide any hot water, despite us being told via email that this was available when we requested a kettle in the room, when it clearly was not possible!

The pillows were terrible, thin and flat and hard, a substitute was provided but was little better than the original. No hot water to make a cup of tea in our room, despite being told we could get hot water from reception as there were no kettles in the room. The (small) amount of stairs between the level where the elevator stopped, and our room, were difficult to manage with our luggage.

Excellent location, close to train station and nicely situated to wander around Venice. The hotel is old, but has good aircon and comfy rooms, with an enjoyable continental breakfast.

The negatives have to be viewed in context, the hotel is old, but it's Venice. It's seen its glory days, and needs a polish and some love, but it's Venice, and so does everywhere. It feels a little like stepping back in time, and checking into a hotel from the 1980's, but sometimes that's not a bad thing. Despite this feel, I'd happily stay here again, based on location, staff and comfort.

The hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the train station, making it super convenient for those arriving by train. Although we were not able to check in early, they did let us use the restroom to change and allowed us to leave our bags while we went to explore. The breakfast that is provided had a great range of items like fruit, breads, cereals, eggs, and ham.

The staff were okay but not the friendliest. You are allowed to leave your bags while you go out to explore but the area that you leave your bags in is not monitored by anyone so it all depends on your comfort with that.

Location, location, location. This hotel is right next to the train station, and has tons of restaurants all around. Plenty of shopping and a 5 minute walk takes you all the sights you could ask for.

The hotel is old, I'm not talking about the building being old, I'm talking about the rooms being old. The carpets were worn, the area next to the A/C was kinda gross (didn't need the A/C thank God). On top of that we were on the top floor (4th) and the elevators only got to the 2nd floor.

Close to train station and Bus to airport runs every 30 mins get ticket off machine in English. There’s a Spar shop next to hotel we found cheap for “Beer” Sandwiches and snacks. We booked on line to go on,up in ‘lift to St Marks Bell Tower” very god view!! save 2hrs waiting in queue. (Advised to book on line day before any excursions)We used our map on phone it was a nice walk going over different bridges and seeing shops. We purchased tickets on booking.com for Glass Museum 10/10 got water taxi (number 3) by bus stop got tickets opposite services. Good waking shoes you must wear and watch and for Pickpockets!! Gondola we didn’t bother we found it such ridiculous price €80 for two of us. Water taxi to island glass museum was €33 return better value 40 journey.

Nice location clean a it’s what you get coming to Italy. Very busy place. Breakfast 10/10 lots of choice.

The location is excellent, 2 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from the bus station, very convenient if you travel with suitcases, you don't have to carry any of your luggage on the city public transport (vaporetto or boat taxi) to your hotel. The hotel is nice, we had window and balcony looking over the surrounding houses. The breakfast is good. We had a nice stay there. Everything in the room was in function.

Some of the room's furniture was worn out, and the carpet didn't seem very clean.
