The welcome, the quality of the decor, all with a view out onto the free flowing canal - We pinched ourselves - cicadas from the garden across the canal, were accompanied by a saxaphone player into the evening, the swash of boats - vaporetto and gondala to and fro against the private stone landing below lulling us, whilst we sat drinking tea. We sat by the wide stone window sill and soaked it in. A window on the world of Venice. Peaceful, but in the heart of accademia, with the wooden arching bridge and galleries to either side. Historic old building in the very centre of Venice. Easy to find. A few steps to Accademia vaparetto stop. The staff were friendly and the room had tea and coffee making facilities and a little map of Venice. The room had a nice view and the Grand canal was round the corner. It was in a lovely historic building, part of a palazzo I think, and full of Venetian charm.

No ait conditioning, but a fan. We had to leave the windows open as the room was hot but then it was noisy as the vaparettos stop outside evey ten minuted. Our bathroom wasn’t connected to the room but along a corridor. If I stayed there again I would request a different room than 3 as the others seemed to have en suite bathrooms and looked onto the Grand Canal.

We had the best time in Hotel Galleria. It was exactly what we expected if not a bit more. The owner was so helpful in supporting our next leg of our Venice journey. We were upgraded to Room 10 and it was beautiful. To open the window shutters onto such an iconic view was breathtaking. Lovely Cafes nearby for breakfast and for walking to all the main attractions.

The hotel doesn’t have AC but we knew this before booking and the bed was probably a bit softer than we like but again nothing that would stop us returning.

The hotel is located overlooking the Accademia Bridge (Ponte dell'Accademia) in the Dorsoduro district. It is the ideal location for exploring the city on foot or by boat, especially the art galleries. The hotel doesn't offer food, but they do recommend the Bar Da Gino round the corner which is excellent. There are a couple of small restaurants close by which (in March) weren't overrun with tourists too. Rooms aren't massive but they're clean, cosy and suited our purpose perfectly. The hotel was also excellent value for money, given the location. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff was very friendly and gave us great recommendations, the location is so convenient and lovely! My favorite thing was the view from our room’s window, worth every cent! We plan to come back to Venice and go to the same stay!

The room we stayed wasn’t spacious, but that didn’t bother us, we spent most of the day out, we picked this room knowing it would be like that and they had more spacious options. Check-in hours were a bit short, but checking in by ourselves was extremely easy and sorting everything out with the staff the next was convenient, so nothing to complain.

I love Hotel Galleria, I sat with my window open and watched the gondolas and other vessels moving along the canal. Even spent the morning watching Emily in Paris being filmed on the other side of the canal. Great location and great staff. I look forward to my next stay.

The location was fantastic, and the neighborhood very charming, with easy access to the Zattere and the vaporetto stop at Accademia. My room, with its view of the Grand Canal, was a dream. It was wonderful to be living in the heart of Venice for a few days.

The hotel is very well located and we could observe the canal right from the window. The atmosphere inside was quite unique (just like in the photos). The room was indeed small (as the name suggests), but it did not cause any major discomfort.

The price for a small room was a bit high (yet most of other properties in the city were super expensive as well).

Absolutely incredible location! Fantastic views to Grand Canal. Stuffed with antiquities and vintage😍Super-friendly staff and great communication (you get all the info, all the instructions etc). Room cleaning every day.

Absolutely nothing to complain about on my side. Vice versa, I had a few pleasant surprises. For example, I did know I was booking a small room (view and interior were much more important for me), but it turned out to be super-functional, like any other. Another example-I only mentioned that my antique bathroom mirror was a bit blurry - got it replaced the same day!
