This is a beautiful resort with big comfortable rooms. The bed was very comfortable and they provided a cot for our 8 month old which was appreciated. The pool area looked amazing but we didn’t get to use it because we arrived too late and left too early, bummer. We ate dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and it was fairly good. The included breakfast was just ok. I wish it had porridge and that the eggs were made fresh, but it wasn’t bad. I liked that they had a decent amount of fresh fruit. The property is a bit outside of the town, so it wasn’t the best ever location, but it was a fairly short drive. I would stay again.

Charming hotel in the countryside of Ennis. Now fully decorated for Christmas, with spacious and spotless rooms. I had a small issue with my room and the beautiful lady at the reception, Harriett, kindly accommodated me in a superior double room I was very happy about, with a beautiful view on the golf course. All the people at Woodstock Hotel are amazingly kind and attentive. Also the personnel in the dining room looked after me during my whole dinner. I felt cuddled by this professional and yet warmingly welcoming team. The food is delicious, I had one of the best burgers ever: tender meat, gorgeous sautéed onion and a fresh salad. The breakfast was superb too.

Lack of staff in the bar and restaurant. We had to wait quite some time before anyone turned up to serve us. No better at breakfast either, we went down at 09.30 and when someone eventually came to see us we were told we could sit anywhere but every unoccupied table had debris on it! We would have you this when we checked out, but there was nobody there. Breakfast was actually very good. The view from the restaurant! Over the rear car park, who designed this? At a pinch, if you craned your head, you could see a tee.

Absolutely everything, Room was spacious, beautiful and clean. Despite being very busy, Dinner service was efficient and the staff were smiling and very pleasant. Food was delicious and our seating by the window was perfect. Breakfast equally efficient with a hot Buffet and beautiful breads/pastries to choose from. My only regret is we were only staying for one night and I didn’t get a chance to go for a swim in the Hotel Pool…. Next time! 🏊‍♀️ But the Pièce de Resistance was when we turned on the TV in the evening and were entertained royally by the comic mini-videos made by the owners! A extraspecial USP, never encountered anywhere else in our travels…. The Best ever, Laughter is good for the Spirit 🤣

Overall a really great hotel with good staff. Clean, beautiful decor, beautiful setting in a quiet area. My room(triple room) was large. Bath tub and shower which is great. Iron as well, but no hairdryers sadly. I haven’t tried the pool but a fantastic plus to the hotel. All tv channels are there for English speakers. WiFi was good. The surroundings are really pretty. Loads of green, the golf course, woods and a residential area. The price was acceptable although I checked to go back in June with my clients and the price is double so I won’t be able to go back. The only downside I found was the distance from the town centre. I walked a couple of times and it took me an hour. Taxi takes 10 minutes to the station but cost 15 euros each way. I used the AAA taxi via uber, it was recommended by the hotel, they are not reliable. Twice out of 3 times, they were 5 minutes away, accepted the journey and 10 minutes later you receive a message that says that they just picked up someone else and will come to you 25 minutes later and the lady on the radio spoke to my taxi men saying that the next person was a local and to do the local price… while I had to pay 2 or 3 times more… do not use them. Apart from that I highly recommend this hotel. It was spotless clean, beautiful with a nice atmosphere and a wood fire burning in the chimney. They also have vending machines, restock to the water, coffee and tea in the rooms everyday and have a couple of restaurants. Ah and one more thing, I ordered 2 take away, both times they received it at reception and gave me a call, very nice of them. Worth more than 4 stars

The hotel itself is fantastic, regardless of the hotel being a large enough destination it still retains a complete homely feeling, the grounds surrounding are picture perfect. The staff are brilliant when I brought an issue it to the staffs attention they were fully empathetic and apologetic. Even after I’d checked out the hotel contacted me providing an update on the issue which made me feel the staff actually listened to my feedback instead of fobbing me off

Appalling selection for dinners , the bistro burger dinner came with very little fries and really overpriced compared to breakfast The vending machine said options were out of order when they clearly weren't. No tags available for door handles even when asked at reception. Something keeped popping up on our tv. Hard to connect to WiFi Need to be stricter with kids policies as children jumping around on the stairs unattended throwing things Saturday night.

The front desk staff was kind and helpful. The pool was an excellent temperature and there were many options at the pool. The location was great as it was centrally located between many places we wanted to visit. We enjoyed our time here.

There were only 3 chairs by the pool. The restaurant, while delicious, was exceptionally slow. The staff were great, but they clearly needed more people working. The same staff that were waiting on tables were also working at the events that were hosted simultaneously.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience in this hotel! From the very first point of contact at the reception the staff exuded friendliness! I had the salmon at dinner - which again was very good! The following day I hade the chowder for lunch - exceptional! FYI I am a pretty accomplished cook. The gym had full olympic bars and a great range of dumbbells to meet the needs of a regular gym goer. Pool, sand and steam looked great - I didn't have time to use them as I only stayed one night. Breakfast was great - lovely coffee - Yeah - I recommend this hotel!

There was nothing I didn't like.

Charming and comfortable. Room was good size and overlooked the golf course. It also had a nice bathroom. Restaurant and pub were both good. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Bird poo attack on our windows prior to arrival that hadn’t been cleaned off. We notified front desk and wasn’t cleaned off until a couple days later. Other than that, it was great.
