Great place for the value. Fully bilingual front staff (English and Japanese), which if you've been around Japan enough you'll know is actually quite rare. This place isn't fancy, but it's a great spot right next to the station that is perfect for the solo traveler or couple who is looking for a clean and affordable place to stay. I am not sure I could recommend this place to a larger family, though, or someone hauling a lot of luggage, as both the lobby area, elevator, and rooms are quite small. However, if that doesn't apply to you, I highly recommend this budget-friendly place!

Some noise from neighboring rooms, so the sound-proofing isn't 100%. But ultimately I slept well.

location is good, hotel facilities quite complete, staff veey nice.. Get to stay in level 2, laundry machine just outside your door. Room also spacious, Can change pillow type(first hotel) i ever see offering this..., the different pillows with different level of hardness put available for change in the rack along the alley.

Beppu city as itself has little thing to do besides onsen. everywhere is just onsen and carparks. on the left and right of the carpark is anotger carpark... nothing else. But hotel is good

The English proficiency of the staff, particularly Edwin, and their kindness when our luggage was lost by the luggage forwarding company was very appreciated as we were stressed and frustrated. Staff were all very knowledgable about the area. Hotel facilities were clean and neat. Ver effective use of the small size of the room and ample storage space provided as well. The onsen kits provided by the hotel on request were convenient and enhanced our experience of Beppu. The breakfast buffet was delicious and I especially enjoyed the yuzu ponzu provided as an addition to the miso soup.

A great hotel very close to the train station yet quiet. Beppu is not big so it was an easy stroll into town. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and polite. Breakfast was plentiful. We were able to park on site for ¥600 a night, however if the hotel parking was full, they gave tickets for the car park across the road so you’d pay the same price.

I love to read before bed but there was no bedside lamp. The light above the bed was very bright so had to resort to my phone light. Not a big deal but perhaps an easy fix.

Beppu is a great place! We did not have a car so hotel’s proximity to train station and buses was great! I worried being so close to the station and tracks would mean a noisy room but it was not a problem at all. The free coffee machine in the lobby was a bonus and the coffee there was as good as any from nearby coffee shops. The lovely fresh flower displays in lobby were also a nice surprise.

The bed and pillows were a bit hard. But, ability to pick extra softer pillows from hallway supplies rack made it better.

The breakfast was simple but very hearty, with lots of variety and local dishes. The room was always clean and well made, the space was generous and the beds were very comfortable. The location couldn't be better, just a stone's throw from Beppu Station, shops and lots more. We found the staff professional, friendly and very helpful too. Check in and check out was smooth.

The hotel is a few hundred meters from the station, which is both a good and bad thing. It was great because we didn't need to drag our bags very far once we got off the train, but we could hear the trains at night. It was actually not that bad, and I'm a light sleeper. The bed was very comfy and the room was comfy too. The staff were a little testy with us when we had a request about how to get to the Beppu Hells, and only one (a very nice lady from India) speaks English fluently - she was very helpful and we enjoyed talking to her. There are a lot of very interesting cafes and restaurants around, and the hotel is very close to some onsens and shopping districts, and 10 minutes from Beppu beach.

The air conditioner unit was right over our heads as we slept. It was a very strange design choice, and had it been on I think it would have been a bit uncomfortable for us to sleep. This is a very minor thing though.

The breakfast was phenomenal. I loved the chicken tempura and the mabo tofu the best. Staff was always very friendly and helpful in answering questions. Room was very comfortable. We parked our rental car here too. It's the station parking, underneath the tracks across from the hotel. When you park, you take a ticket and pay (500 yen per day I think?) at the front desk. They give you a special yellow ticket. When you leave you insert the original ticket given, then the ticket the hotel gave you.

The rooms were a little small, but that's typical for Japan. Also no onsen in the hotel :( but I was told that there is a very cheap one nearby

It was a very nice stay. The hotel is super close to the train station, so very practical for day trips, arrival and leave. But the double windows blocked the train sounds very good, I had no trouble sleeping. It is also quite close to the sea, so you can do seaside strolls or go to the shopping/ restaurant street near by. Obviously also a lot of Onsen near by. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The windows were milk glass and could only be opened a bit, so no view to the outside, sadly. Still a lot of day light came in.

Really close to the train station, very friendly staff and a very clean and tidy room. If you announce at the front counter that you are going to visit a nearby onsen they will supply you with a towel and some shampoo and soap.1

The shower is one of the old ones where you need to find the right temperature with the hot and cold faucets and it's pretty hard to find the right combination.
