Breakfast was good with good variety and quality. Bedding was comfortable and adequate toiletries were provided. Luggage can be stored before check in and we left it with the hotel for 5 days before returning from southern Kyushu. (But may not be possible for more than 5 days. Pls check). Exit through East Gate and turn right at Clio Court Hotel ( this hotel is literally next to the East Gate of Hakata station). Walk straight down 1½ blocks and it's opposite Yodabashi Big Camera.

The rate of the room is slightly high for the size of the room. Location is fairly near the hotel ( 5 -7min walk) but if you know the shortcut through the lane opposite Tenza Hotel, just next to Century Art Hotel, it will lead straight into Hakata City ( and to JR station) and save you having to drag your luggage through pretty rough pavements. The hotel lobby looks smaller than the photographs.

Location is excellent — right across yodobashi-hakata and within minutes from the JR Hakata Station and Subway station. Very close to shopping centers at hakata station (Amu, Hankyu, Kitte). Canal City is also a little over a kilometer away. Check-in was fast. Our room was ready right away and the reception staff spoke english. Buffet breakfast was good, with western and Japanese options. There was also a “Costa Coffee” coffee machine that is free to use for everyone, and they provided to-go cups as well. Please keep in mind also that the amenities provided in the room are limited to toothbrush, toothpaste, handsoap, body wash, shower and conditioner only. Other amenities such as shaver, disposable slippers, comb, cotton swabs, etc are available in the lobby and guests are free to get anytime — this was unusual to me at first, but seems to be the norm when we transferred to another city in Kyushu. Room had coffee and tea making facilities. There was also a vending machine and ice machine on our floor (9th).

Room cleaning was only done for guests staying 4 nights and more. Fresh towels were provided daily by leaving a new set of towels by the door daily. The reduced cleaning schedule wasn’t so bad as the room was already very clean when we arrived. You may also request for a bed making service if you wish, but the first room cleaning will be done on the 4th night. Our room did not have ironing facilities. I am not sure if the hotel would provide when asked as i did not need them at the time of my stay, but there are laundry facilities at the 5th floor of the hotel.

Great location and service by the housekeeping staff and front desk. The hotel provides free use of the washing machines and dryers which are easy to use. Great amenities, including skin care creams which are available at the lobby. Rooms are bigger than your typical Japan hotel and you can open 2 suitcases. Soundproofing was good, so was not bothered by noise from adjacent rooms. The bathroom is humongous by Japan standards. Floor to ceiling windows bring in lots of natural light.

Would have liked a gym in the hotel though, but made up for it with all the walking we did around Hakata.

Breakfast just average not so much to choose from but it is OK for us as we are not heavy breakfast eater.

Room seems like aging most of the item is very old and some item already broken or not fixed after broken but overall the room is still clean and need, but they may need to improve in the housekeeping rule and regulation that is three day then they will do a housekeeping if you stay for three days then there will be no housekeeping like what happened to us, customer service in the hotel are really good and polite.

It's location is within 5 min walk from Hakata station. Our Superior twin room was really spacious and can open 2 large luggage comfortably. The bedding is comfortable and the toilet and bathroom seem to be renovated. So it's really clean. I like the breakfast because of its variety and quality. It starts from 7am till 10am. On the last day, as we needed to catch an early flight(you can take the airport bus to International Terminal from the nearby Hakata bus terminal from 6.50am) , they allowed us to pack a takeaway from the buffet table at 7am. And there is Costa coffee at the lobby at a small fee of 100yen. There are plenty of food options in the area.

The room furniture has seen much better days and should be changed. Some parts are velcroed to prevent it from dropping off. The hotel believes in saving the earth, so for 2-3 nights stay, there will be no makeup room service, but towels (and garbage) can be left out at the door and changed daily. Not really a big issue for us really.

Location of the hotel is really easy to find. Room is spacious, bigger than regular hotel's room in Japan, i booked "view queen room". i can fully open 2 luggages in room both is 29" and i still have the space walking around. Hotel is closed to Hakata St. even there are many mores closer. Room is new and clean. Next to 7-11, Yodabashi BLD,. is opposite. Restaurants are just cross the street. Staffs are very nice, kind and polite. You can drop your luggages when you arrive early. There are amenities for guest at front area. And the thing i love is the variety of shampoos and hair conditioners which are the famous brand provided, choose your choice!! ( shower gel, face&hand soap, shampoo, hair condition are normally available in room too).

The thing i really concern is that the security system which the hotel doesn't have it well. Starting from the entrance until the lift, no need to tap room's card to access. This point should be improved!!. When you get in the lift, It must be tapped the card specify with your room's floor. There is just a4 paper in front of the lift said "hotel not allow who is not hotel's guest to access" useless even nothing happened.

This was my third perfect stay here at Tenza in the past 6 months! Great beds and pillows, clean super quiet rooms on the side away from the main street. Perfect location next to Hakata Station with so many food and shopping choices. 7-11 is next door plus two hotel floors with coin laundry. This will always be my first choice of hotels in Fukuoka. Fabulous breakfast!! Wonderful staff make this a great value!

The room was larger than we expected. The location is convenient to the main train station. Bed was comfortable.

My wife enjoyed the breakfast. She appreciated the fresh fruit, nuts, bread, and fish. I was disappointed by the absence of sweets and found the meats too fatty to my taste. Both of us enjoyed the quality coffee. There were many healthy items such as kale juice and service people were excellent.

Just 5 mins walk from the JR Hakata station Chikushi exit with a convenience store located just beside the hotel. Reception staff were professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and warm. What was unique was the eco-clean scheme where rooms were only cleaned once every 3 days. If towels needed to be changed, you could hang it outside your door before 10am each day. Amenity kits like bedroom slippers, toothbrushes could be collected from the hotel lobby if needed. The laundry rooms were located on the 6th and 10th floor and both washer and dryer machines were free to use. You only needed to purchase detergent from the lobby reception. The staff also helped to call a cab to the airport which was about 1300 yen.

Room was alright for a single person but may be small for 2 paxs, especially with big luggage. Some of the furniture and carpet looked a little old but were clean.

The hotel is beautiful and clean located very close to the Hakata station. Hotel staff can communicate in english and very helpful. There are facility such as a microwave machine, ice machine, and laundry machine which is free of charge. (You can buy a detergent at the front desk in a reasonable price.)

Pajamas change every 3 days is a bit long time for me.
