The location of the hostel is great, only a few minutes to walk from the station and to Odawara castle. Even though it is a small hostel it provides everything you need, even a small kitchen. There is also an awesome hangout area where you can eat, relax and get to talk to other guests. During our trip through Japan we stayed twice at plum hostel because of its cozy atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and speaks English very well.

The rooms are kinda small, so it can be hard to manage a big suitcase.

I like the location. Not far from the train station. And few minutes walks from food and convenient stores. Bed and shower room is clean. Good for a short stay and backpacker/ light travelling.

There's abit of stairs up to the hostel, and the room are not as spacious, carrying bigger size luggages might be a little inconvenience. More suitable for those who travelling light. Personally think that the cloth toilet seat cover is not necessary. It's better to do without it because it's easier for the user to wipe the toilet seat for hygiene purpose. Toiletries and towel for rent available with 100yen each

Clean, homely kitchen and seating areas. Bathrooms were also well maintained. Pleased that we could bring our own food - cutlery, plates and microwave were provided. The location was great - relatively close to the train station. The staff member who was on Reception was friendly and so helpful with travel tips etc. which made a big difference to my stay. I loved that they displayed plenty of information in the lounge area on recommended places to visit, and importantly how to get there etc. In other hostels they didn't provide such info at all, or not so much.

Rooms were very small. Hardly any floor space for storing belongings, I had to leave my small suitcase in reception. You took one step out of the ladies bedroom and would be right next to the Reception desk....not a big problem, and I saw the funny side of it. The bedding wasn't dirty but it didn't seem as good as most hostels that I stayed at.

Tiny hostel with backpacker vibes, and a full functioning kitchen. I loved the little "nook" of a common room. Reliable internet connection and easy to socialize with other guests. Tons of information and tips on travel & food in the area. The staff were friendly and chill.

The one mixed dormitory would be unbearable if completely booked out. No storage space for luggage/backpacks, which would require a lot of uncomfortable maneuvering if half the guests weren't single briefcase business travelers (?!).

Very convenient location close to Odawara Station with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Staff were super friendly and posted a lot of great advices on local onsens and restaurants. Day trips to Hakone are very convenient from here. Thanks for the stay :)

The hostel is a bit small, so you need to be mindful if you have lots of luggage.

This place is amazing! The staff are really friendly and accommodating I really enjoy staying here! The place is near the odawara station which is very accessible, very handy... Also i like how they put some information about the place and the transportation they also put some recommendations about food.. Also its very nice that they put some activities in the lounge like some books, board games,card games, even a notebook to doodle.. Which is very nice!! I could rate this place 11/10!!

It’s literally 5 min walking from the train and bus station. Since I had the 3 day Hakone pass, I walked everyday to take the bus and train. I also enjoyed the town Odawara, the beach, castle, 2 min walk to shops , restaurants. The place is small to have luggage in the room, but typical for Japan, as the thin mattress too. I liked how the kitchen had everything for cooking, also a chill out area with lots of information about things to do in the areas.

For the price, it was perfect. I was greeted nicely and shown around. I simply needed a place to sleep without breaking the bank and I was able to do just that. The bed was decent, and the curtains helped with privacy. The relaxing common area was well put together. It was super close to the station and I even walked to the nearby Castle after checkout ^^

I wish the AC worked in our room. I ended up cracking open the window. The bed was hard, but that is perfect for me and it sucked that you can hear every single movement and noise around you. Guests outside the room got a little too loud at night so light sleepers be wary.

Location is good bcs of near the train station and there are some convenient stores with restaurants. There is a big mall just when coming out the train station but i don't have chance to walk around as i got there late and left early.

Based on the rental and i don't think this would be all what i got. clean bed and washroom.

The staff were very friendly, it was super clean and had a really nice common area to chill and play cards with my friends

Beds aren’t the most comfortable and rooms are quite small. There’s also a pub near that plays music quite loud but they provide headphones
