First, we chose this place because it was close to the Odawara station, which is one of the ways you can take to go to Hakone for a day trip. The hostel itself is just in front of the Odawara castle and has a beautiful view of it. They have nice common areas to eat, which is a bar/cafe that we didn't use, but looks very nice to try. The room has the perfect size for 3, as they have a double bed but also provides a futon for the third person.

I think the only downsides are that Odawara itself is not a very touristy area, so there aren't many things to do around. Maybe the check-in process can be improved, as it is not the easiest and friendliest.

Stayed in the double room - Great location. Very neat design and gives a strong brand image throughout the hostel. Everything tidy and clean in the room, with some stylish items inside. All amenities provided, they even have snacks in the rooom and extra coffee/tea/soup(!) bag if you need them.

The check in is a mess - too much codes provided before check in and at the end I did not even use one of them. The check in code for the hostel itself did not appear as an option as the tablet did not allow me to enter the code, although it seemed so on the screen, I just cant click on it. The check in code for the room was not available again for entering as the electric padlock did not allow me to enter the numbers as provided. Eventually I used the link on the phone to open the the door for the room. But the door for the room was sliding, but there's no sign about this and I kept pushing it until a moment I slided. The handle for the sliding room door was the same as the pushing/pulling door in the toilet, so its a confusing after entering the door also.

Honestly one of the nicest hostels I've every stayed at, the room design is very creative allowing for a remarkable amount of privacy. I liked the 3rd floor lounge, the view was spectacular and it was really convenient. Suitable for long-term stays as well.

The entrance to the bed, at least on the lower side, was a bit high compared to the mattress. So it was a bit hard to get in and you could easily bump into the wooden side on the way in. I think it was designed for a much taller mattress, perhaps putting something soft on it would make it easier.

- The location is excellent, about 600m from Odawara Station and exacly opposite the Odawara Castle. - The bed was comfy and the way it was set up, create less light into your bed cubicle even when the hall light is turned on (which is good). - I arrived early and thanks to the housekeeper to allow me to keep my luggage in the room, before I were to check in at 3pm. Otherwise I have to drag my luggage to 3F for temp storage (no lift in this building. - No human receptionist, but all check in check out are done electronically.

- The wifi is really bad. It keeps disconnected for the two nights that I stayed. If not because of the wifi, I could have rated the hostel as 10. - The building looks unfinished and old from outside. But inside the building, all is good.

Amazing price at an amazing location! Very friendly staff. For people traveling alone or with a friend it's perfect. I know I gave it a 8 but if you're traveling alone, aren't fat, and don't care about wifi (and have earplugs lol!) it's an easy 10 out of 10.

Gave it an 8 out of 10 for 4 reasons: -Wifi is weak as heck. -I can literally poke the guy sleeping above me. Needs something to separate the bunk beds. -Shower is tiny. My, eer, not small friend had a very hard time using it. -Bring earplugs or else!

Cozy little studio with privacy and has own toilet and standing shower area. Soft bed and 4 pillows, generous in terms of Japanese standard, most hotels, I get only a pillow that is too soft. The Odawara Castle Park entrance is just a few steps away - nice.

The distance to Odawara Station on foot with luggage isn't fun, when it rains! No convenient store around but it's ok. Hated the steps up to 3rd floor, I think my back broke 😆😅

The hostel was convenient and good! Outside of the dorm a bit cold, but in the cabin it was comfortably warm (I was there in February). The cabin was spacious as was the space for the luggage below it! The shower is in the same room, which at first I found a bit odd, but it worked out just fine! Sadly, the WiFi wasn't super fast. However, the price of the hostel as its location (right across from Odawara castle and close to the train station!) where worth it.

Very functional Family room, with lots of cutlery and nice amenities in the room. Nice view of the castle entrance from the ultra large windows. A really cute cafe on 3F although I couldn't really get to use it. Complementary coffee and tea whenever you like on the cafe floor was a nice touch. I didn't find the check-in method difficult at all. I Don't get why all the reviews that people struggled to check in.

Didn't realize I would have to lift my luggage and stroller to the room in 2F. The window blinds were made of paper and I was really worried that my infant kid would end up tearing them.

The location was the main draw. It was right across Odawara Castle and very short distance from Odawara Station. The facilities were good and the room was spacious. It made our trip to Hakone area really convenient and enjoyable. There are heaps of food options in the vicinity. And we got to see Odawara Castle as if it was just in our backyard!

Given the price, I could not really complain. Maybe there are small traces of mould near the airconditioning unit, it can be cleaned more regularly.

Fantastic location, easily accessible from the railway. Right next to Odawara Castle - great as a landmark and easy access for visit. Has various parking facilities nearby if you are driving; convenient location.

Generally, everything was great and as expected for the price paid. Things that could be better improved on: Ocassionally the Wi-Fi is patchy and did not provide a reliable or usable connection. Possibility to have TV against the wall.
