Good traditional vibes, spacious rooms. Easily accessible via bus transportation. Had decent amenities nearby, konbini only about 3-minute walk. When we came, it was tidy, clean, and neatly prepped by host so we can straight went into rest. The host also friendly and communicative, they will answer your questions readily. It is cheap and easily affordable for larger groups.

The second floor had poor heating system, with the heater kept being turned off repeatedly after some minutes. This made us went using some extra layers of blanket during midnight in colder temperature. While the traditional vibes do interest some people, you might need to think twice if you are planning to rent it alone. It can be quite eerie esp. if you believe in some superstitions, or you are a scaredy-cat person.

The house space enough for 6 persons, but only got one bathroom. Kitchen are big enough for 8 persons. Water pressure very strong. location u needs to ride on bus, cannot follow the Google Map human walking path from Gora to Guesthouse, esp u bring along the luggage.

Sound proof is not very good cos is tatami room and the house located nearby the road side.

It is spacious for our family of 5. The futon are thick and blankets are warm.

The pots and pans are very worn. Need some new ones or just stainless ones that last. Not many buses go pass there after 5pm.

Plenty of space, a chance to catch up on washing, heating/cooling good, choice of western or Japanese bedding, Japanese style bath.

Overnight noise from the main road may disturb lighter sleepers. Location is a steep climb or short bus ride from the main attractions of Gora - we knew this, but something to be aware of if choosing to stay here.

We stayed at this guesthouse for one night, and while it had some positives like the convenient location and affordable price, there were several issues that made our stay uncomfortable.

One of the main problems was the bed—one of them was extremely hard, which made for a poor night's sleep. The house itself was quite dusty, especially in corners and around windows, which gave the place a neglected feeling. The towels provided were very thin. We also found the atmosphere quite creepy, with several locked rooms labeled "staff room." It wasn't clear whether others were staying in the house at the same time, which left us feeling uneasy. The heater had an error on it and we could smell gas so we had to remove it from the room so had a cold sleep. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this guesthouse unless you’re looking for a basic, no-frills stay and don’t mind a few compromises on comfort and cleanliness.
