Location is very near to Gora station and the house is well kept and clean.

An unpleasant experience is because I received numerous sms from the property stating that I didn’t complete the check in form and may result in cancellation of my stay. I was puzzled as I have already completed the form and already paid for the stay. Luckily I managed to contact customer service of booking.com who helped to communicate with the host and found out there have been error messages sending out to customers which have caused such false alarm. Lastly, I also found that the sleeping area in the attic is abit dusty.

The apartment is clean and modern. Excellent in every way. Modern appliances, good TVs, comfy beds, good heating, everything working properly, high-quality stuff everywhere! The location is very good - steps away from Gora Station, from where you can go to most sightseeing points in Hakone. Walking distance from the Open Air Museum. The pancake place next door is a great choice for breakfast!

The only thing I can say is, that when we first arrived, there was a strong smell of cigarettes in the bathroom. It lasted for a few hours but then it was gone. Other than that, perfect.

Well appointed apartment, good amount of space for our family of 5. Very spacious kitchen and living area. Having a second toilet was very convenient. Very well located close to Gora Station so tourist sites were easy to access. New and clean.

More hanging space for towels would be helpful. Sleeping on tatami can take a bit to get used to.

The location of this apartment from Gora Station is just 3-5 mins walk but note that the walk is actually an upslope from the station. If you are carrying heavy luggage or travelling with elderly, do consider this. Otherwise, the apartment is clean and good enough for 4 people. There is 1 toilet without shower on the ground level of the apartment and another 1 toilet with shower on the second level. It will not be sufficient for 8-10 people staying as you will need to queue for the toilet with shower whenever needed. It was fine with my family as we only have 3 adults staying in the whole apartment.

Small but complete with everything you need. They even prepared toys for kids to play with. My kids had fun. Plan to go for onsen nearby but all didn't accept walk in except stay in guest. Owner was so helpful to find and recommended for other public onsen, however due to time limitations we didn't get to try it. Will definitely try out again in next trip in Hakone.

Houses and streets are narrow compared to our previous stay in Kawaguchiko. Staircase is steep. Not suitable for those with big luggage.

Very convenient location, fuss free check in process with clear instructions given in email. There were ample futons for us to use, property has board games and Netflix for entertainment, kitchen is decently equipped along with kids tableware. The hot tub was fantastic as it even had a reheating function to warm the bath up again whilst soaking in it.

The house felt cold, and heating didn’t effectively warm up the entire house evenly. We were uncertain if the pillows were clean as we were not provided with new pillow cases to put on. We had to lay our own futons, and were uncertain of how to do so - would be good to have clear and visible instructions on this.

The bathtub was really nice (especially the autobath and tv)! The location was great, very close to the train station, restaurants and souvenir shops. Although not for everyone, we really enjoyed sleeping on futon and tatami.

Location is great. Walking distance to Gora station where you can take directly go ahead to take the Hakone Ropeway. The Hakone Free Pass is value for money.

We arrived on a very cold night and the air condition took very long to warm up the whole place. A suggestion will be to switch on the heating for the confirmed guests to arrive to a nicely warmed up house.

So new, clean and all amenities. We stayed in the two beds downstairs and they were comfortable. Perfect for kids as they can stay in the attic. Perfect location. Right next to the train station and the cable car.

1) the stairs .. can’t really bring luggage to upstairs as it is narrow 2) the 3rd floor ceiling height too low but for sleeping is okay The above not major issues to us though :)
