Amazing location right by the Gora train station. Easy walk to restaurants and transportation. Having 3 levels was nice for some additional privacy and two bathrooms. It was also very nice to have two TVs and a large dining table. Great for a group.

The futons were very thin and hard and uncomfortable. We stayed at multiple other traditional properties in Japan with much more comfortable futons. The walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors quite a bit. Otherwise quiet / away from traffic etc.

Fantastic location just above Gora station. Very spacious apartment, spread over three floors. Traditional style, with tatami mats in all the living spaces and traditional low dining area, with an additional table and chairs in the kitchen. Well appointed, modern kitchen with everything we needed. Clean, modern bathroom (powerful shower), with separate toilets. Washing machine and TVs. Comfy futons for sleeping on. Thoroughly recommend and we would return without hesitation.

The accommodation is traditional Japanese style, with low seating and bedding. We loved the experience, but it may not suit everybody.

Very accessible in terms of location. 3 minute walk from Gora train station (a major station, which means it's sheltered from rain, among other things). A very nice 3 storey apartment with many facilities and more than enough space to house 4 people. The pre-check-in process worked great; we were able to immediately enter the accommodation upon arriving. Despite being a multi-storey apartment, the first floor provides enough basic facilities to rest in, namely a toilet, bathroom and bedroom (futon room). Though, the second and third floors are still very nice. The accommodation responded to messages in a very timely fashion.

It's not a dislike, but take note that there is a short, yet sufficiently steep, uphill climb, just like many places in Hakone.

We recently stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the cable car and tram station from Hakone Yumoto. The accommodation is spacious, spread over three levels, and is well-equipped with everything you might need, making it ideal for longer stays. Communication with the host was excellent; they responded quickly to any inquiries. Overall, a fantastic place to stay!

The only downside was the futon, which could be a bit thicker for added comfort.

Very cute apartment in perfect location, 2 minutes from the train station and bus stops to easily reach nearby attractions, restaurants and convenience stores around, onsens and so on, but the street is very quiet. Everything looked really cute and felt new, heated toilet seats, beds very comfortable, great typical shower/bathtub and 2 toilets, good light in the living room and a small balcony.

Modern, well appointed and in a fantastic central location. Close to all transport, restaurants, cafes and shops. If you need a Lawson, it is next to the previous train stop (near the Open Air Sculpture Museum) or an easy 10 minute flat walk.

It was not the owners fault,but the people in the unit next to us in the complex partied two out of the three nights until late, two out of the three nights we stayed. On a personal note, I have realised that sitting on the floor and sleeping on futons is beyond the capacity of my old back!!!

We enjoyed this place. It’s in a really good location and is a very short walk to Gora station. From Gora it’s easy to get the cable car and ropeways to the lake. It was really spacious and homely and such a nice mountain retreat to be in for a few days.

The tatami mats aren’t super comfy if you’re used to a comfortable mattress.

The apartment was very clean and everything we needed were available. The location is literally a stone throw away from Gora station, it’s very convenient. And if you drive, parking lot is just 2 mins away.

It would be better if a dryer was available for after washing. The washing machine has dryer function but it didn’t worked that well. Small issue tho if the sun is shining bright. One Other observation is that not many choices available for dinner as most of the nearby restaurant closes by 5pm. But you could always take a train ride one or two station away for dinner.

If u go to Hakone area, Gora Park ia great starting point and this location is very central in ahora Park, just 200 meters around the corner of the station. Place is very clean with great beds and futons. For a family of 5 with three 11-17 kids, it was perfect. Itoh Dining by Nobu is a lovely place for a special dining experience. The open air museum (on walking distance) is one of the most beautiful I have ever visited: a must see!!!

Only one small comment: the little windows on the upper floor (where 3 futons can be placed) cannot be covered, so the light wakes u up early. Should be easy fix. Be aware that if u stay for a few days, u depend for groceries (breakfast, etc) on the Lawson which is one station back (10 min walk). Easy and pleasant walk.

Excellent location right next to Gora station with very easy access by train to get there, as well as an easy way to get to the ropeway. Great ammenties with a full kitchen and washing machine. The balcony has a nice view of the surrounding mountains. It has a good sized living space with adequate room for 4 adults complete with TV and a set of board games. The pincode access door was good for easy entry and being able to split up as a group while out and return to the property at leisure without the hastle of carrying a key. The airconditioning was powerful and effective. The staff communicated very well through booking.com.

The staircase is skinny and steep, and the upstairs sleeping space is a bit of a low ceiling.
