Beautiful view and setting, meticulous meals and appointments. You can even see the tip of Mt. Fuji from the dining room.

Communication was difficult. The hotel is way, way, way up high, and the hotel needs to make an effort to communicate that it actually has a shuttle. Many travelers wound up walking up with their luggage, and Google Maps takes you on a convoluted route to get to the hotel, so it begins the stay in an awkward sweat, not just for me! They also don't make it clear that you need to reserve meals not just a day ahead, but 24 hours in advance, as they are particular and not flexible about this requirement. That said, nice people, beautiful hotel, comms challenges.

The property was beautiful, clean, and had beautiful views. We booked a private bath and slept like babies whenever we used the bath. My partner’s shoulder pains also went away from the private onsen. The guest service here is incredible. A driver picked us up from the Gora station on our first day, and proceeded to drop us off and pick us up on following days for our sightseeing needs. We also booked breakfast and dinner - the dinner is one of the best meals I’ve had. Excellent courses and superb service. We really felt taken care of, our every need anticipated.

The meals were meticulously prepared by top chefs. Delicious and beautifully presented. I did struggle to eat the 7 courses for dinner and 5 courses for breakfast, but it was a special experience in a beautiful dining setting. Wait staff were also very professional. The room and premises were beautiful and comfortable and staff were incredibly helpful. Our stay was very restful which is what we needed. We also had a fabulous massage and would be happy to recommend this service. Thanks Hotel Elecasa!

The staff were so accommodating, hospitable, and ensured my stay was comfortable. The staff accommodated my last minute addition for meals and were very communicative. I loved the outdoor private bath and the views were spectacular! Meals were delicious, albeit a lot of food. Loved being greeted with the small cookies and bubbles!

Was a little inconvenient to have to coordinate a driver to and from the accommodations, but I understand.

Very premium feel. We had a private hot tub bath (with water from the hot springs) inside our room with great views. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel! Staff was very friendly and tried to speak in English to accommodate us. They went above and beyond.

The in-hotel dinner is expensive and we didn’t opt for it. The town has an amazing Chinese restaurant where we got dinner. 20 min walk from the hotel.

The staff was very helpful and responsive. Spa service was excellent. Also, the pick up from the train station was a good service.

Nothing close to the facilities and it was difficult to get a taxi to and from the hotel. Walking was not good option given the narrow and rocky hike back which could have been 40 mins. This also meant we had to have our meals at the hotel which were good but pricey.

The staff was excellent and very efficient. The hotel is clean, spacious, and comfortable. I really loved the spa, especially the variety of treatments offered at the spa and high level & professional. Also, the onson was great. The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, so a car is necessary. We rented a car and really enjoyed our stay.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. The view from our room was beautiful. We adored the in-room onsen. The vibe was peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious!

The staff were wonderful. The ONLY thing that was not exceptional was that the wine pours at dinner were a little stingy. Literally, that's all I could possibly critique.

Loved every detail of this stay. Staff was amazing, even though they dont speak english very well but this is no issue, as they try their hardest on all aspects. Be prepared to eat a lot and well prepared food. All small town you can see from your hotel and on bright day even Fuji Mountain while eating breakfast.

Not easy to locate if you follow Google maps and decide to walk up especially in rain with luggage. Make sure to either call them for a shuttle or following the drive route on Google maps.
