Breakfast was amazing, so tasty and you get a lot of food. The onsen was great, super hot like 45 degrees Celcius. You also get a lot of service, like a taxi ride to the hotel and from the hotel back to the bus stop. Rooms were spacious and included a bath, comfy tatami beds. For like 115 euros pp, we got breakfast, dinner, the onsen and a comfy night's rest.

Dinner was presented beautifully, but a bit hard to understand if you're not Japanese. Food was hit or miss with half of it being really good and the other half kind of forgettable. The aircon was a bit outdated, you only had 3 options: soft, mild and hard.

Beautiful Ryokan. Huge room. Great view from the room. Set at a golf course, with a lovely pond/waterfall visible from the dining room. Very helpful staff. Helped us in many ways. Exquisite Kaiseki dinner. Don't even consider staying without taking it, as it is wonderful, and there are no other options around. Onsen indoor/outdoor was great.

Location: far from the main village (Motohakone) and the bus stop. They have a shuttle once a day to/from Odawara station, plus a shuttle to/from the nearest bus stop. Room was smelly/old. Our room had no real chair, or anywhere to sit but the floor. Note that breakfast is only Japanese style. It was exceptional, but not everyone can stomach it in the morning.

Oh man....i wish we could have stayed forever! Initial thoughts were, this is a golf resort, likely full of golfers and nothing much else to offer. Boy were we wrong! Absolutely beautiful resort in autumn. Car park slots were plenty, hotel is beautiful, room is huge, clean and comfortable. Dining hall was large, spacious, airy and with gorgeous views of the gardens. Onsen was not too big but sufficient. Love the "chill hall"...a lounge that is free to use, with beverages and some desserts, but with awesome views of the greenery surroundings.

the road leading up to the resort could have been lit.

In general...it was a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. The rooms.were awesome and the facilities were great. Great indoor and outdoor onsen.

Everything was great, except for when something invaluable but very personal went missing when we were away as the cleaner came to do their daily rounds. The staff at the reception was not very helpful in locating the missing item at all. Luckily, an old cleaning manager came and assisted us with the search in the hotel laundry room and managed to find it. We were very grateful for him to help us but was very disappointed with the staff at the reception for not extending help to search as the reason given was that if the laundry had been taken away for cleaning there is nothing the hotel could do.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful with stunning architecture, excellent rooms and amazing food. We stayed in a Japanese style room which could accommodate 4 of us and the it was really spacious with super comfy futons. Breakfast and dinner were provided kaiseki style and the quality of the food was exceptional. The general age range of the other guests in the hotel was 50 and up so the hotel was really peaceful and quiet. The hot spring was amazing and if you're a golfer, they have an amazing golfing range.

The only issue with the hotel was that there were very few staff that spoke English so depending on who was at the counter, it was a bit difficult to communicate. Another thing to note is that taxi service is hard to come by and on a few occasions the hotel was unable to arrange a taxi for us as all cars were booked. This is especially problematic after 5pm when the public transport stops running. It would be best to rent a car when staying at this hotel since public transport stops running pretty early.

Kaiseiki dinner and breakfast were outstanding- definitely worth including in your stay.Staff were extremely friendly and helpful both at reception and restaurant. Room had a cozy kotatsu table and chairs and a nice sized bathroom- not tiny as some do..Outdoor Onsen was excellent. There is even a small golf course on the grounds and lovely serene gardens to enhance your stay. The whole hotel has a '' cut above 'classy feel than an average ryokan- big thumbs up.👍

Nothing negative to say about this hotel..

We love our time at the hotel. The staffs were so lovely. We love the yummy ice cream at the beautiful coffee area. There will be buses that bring you to the closest bus stop. If you get the Hakone pass, it is super convenience to go around.

We only wish that we would have less grilled fish in our meals. We always try to finish them so the food are not wasted, but maybe less grilled fish will be good :)

This was possibly the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We were picked up from the Ashinoyu bus station by the on-call free hotel shuttle service and used the once a day morning shuttle to return to Odawara station. The hotel didn’t seem busy during our stay and we essentially had the baths (one indoor pool and one outdoor pool) to ourselves. The rooms and facilities were very clean and the tatamis extremely comfortable. The rooms were spacious for four people. We had an amazing time and would absolutely come back if in the area.

You can tell the hotel has a long history but it is maintained well and the site is beautiful. The staff is very attentive. The Ryokan style rooms are clean with beautiful views to the golf course. The Onsen is clean. There are free drinks and icicles in the lounge.

The area is remote. We didn’t take the hotel meals and the drive to get dinner was long.
