Staff are very cordial & accommodating. Room & facilities also very nice. Location, walking distance to Sannomiya & Motomachi Train Station. Walking distance to shopping area & loads of restaurants.

Air conditioning is centralized. Different Guest(s), different temperature/weather tolerance. Some gets cold easily. While others gets hot. In our case, we easily get hot. But there's no way to access the air conditioning. Next best thing is to open all windows. Which they will inform you upon check-in. The windows are locked. You have to inform the lobby/reception to open it for you

Very centrally located, 24 hr reception, access to a ground floor lounge-breakfast room with diverse free snacks, juices and ice. Very clean. Our room was large enough with a small table and seating. International TV avail via YouTube. Good aircon.

No parking in front of hotel for loading or unloading of luggage. Stairs to lift luggage up to lobby level. Very expensive Parking available about 50 m away in a privat lot. Comfy bed but very uncomfortable pillows. No separate shower, only shower over a bath. Non openable windows.

In a great location with a cozy theme, it had a pleasantly preserved vintage feel to the hotel and was surrounded with places to visit, such as restaurants near the train station (10-15 minutes away) or the European houses on the hill in the other direction (also 10-15 minutes by foot)

It used a key system where you had to return the key every time you left the building, on return you said your room number and they gave it back. This was a mild annoyance which, reduced the feeling of security in the hotel.

The staff were truly excellent, they helped us find the affiliated parking garage down the street and even walked there themselves to help discuss the cheapest rate. Afterwards they called around for us to see which recommended restaurants still had a spot for us and took our luggage to the room. The rooms themselves are spacious for Japanese standards and the beds are comfortable. All amenities were available. The cute Mini at the front completes the decoration.

The hotel had excellent service, including accommodating my Jewish Sabbath observance. The hotel design is very nice, and the rooms were quiet, spacious, pretty, and comfortable. The location is also excellent, close to Sannomiya Station. Finally, at least for the nights I booked, the hotel was a great value.

The bathroom seemed very plain, and I could even see mold growing in between the floor tiling.

Love this hotel. Some people have reviewed and said that it is very tired and old fashioned. For us this did not matter. It gave it charm after many characterless modern hotels we stayed in while in Japan. It was clean and comfortable. Most importantly, the room was large, we had space both sides of the bed, bedside cabinets, plenty of room to move around and a large wardrobe, luxury for the price paid. The breakfast was very good and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Would highly recommend.

There was nothing to dislike.

Nice, quaint hotel with a nostalgic, vintage British vibe. Friendly staff and a clean, cozy room. We chose a premium room plan, so we had access to the lounge area with a nice English tea time with scones. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of meat, bread, vegetables, soups, and desserts.

Our room forgot to provide toothbrushes, but received them easily by asking a staff.

The location is quite good, although it's on a light slope which is a bit hard for heavy luggage case. The hotel is a bit ancient European style, It is lovely for us. Look like some facilities are a bit old, but all the basic needs for a stay are fulfilled. Although there is not so many choices, the breakfast buffet of the hotel is nice! I love the seafood salad, and the coffee too!

The toilet seat was with some dirt when we get in, that we need to clean them by ourselves.

Good location, A very pleasant place. Kind and friendly staff. speak good english We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. There is an introductory room to a bathroom, a nice room for dressing, putting on makeup and getting ready after a shower. Highly recommended.

It's hard to think of any downsides. Maybe that the room is relatively small. Designed horizontally, with a relatively small organization area.

I have nothing bad to say about the place. It was great, we had complimentary bottle of waters in the room, the service was amazing - from helping us getting a taxi, finding a restaurant, taking our luggage to the room (left it in the hotel before check in). The location was great. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very big. We had all the amenities we needed.
