The room was large compared to Tokyo & Kyoto (10/10). No out dated feel at all to the room or the lobby (10/10). The price was reasonable. They gave us a corner room which had an incredible view (10/10). What I care about the most when choosing a hotel is the cleanliness and it was clean (8-9/10). It was also located at a very convenient location (10/10) - right next (minutes by walk) to the subway/train station, limousine bus stop to KIX, taxi, etc. Took a ferry from KIX and then a cab to the hotel and that was fun. Was 25mins walking distance from from the Takenaka carpentry museum - which according to my woodwork-loving teenage son was the highlight of Japan trip (we went to Kobe just for that). Took a cab from there to Arima onsen and it was about $65. I was worried that the hotel being situated right above a subway station, that we might feel the shakes but we didn't at all. Bathroom didn't require a shower curtain (making it practically a walk in shower (10/10). The breakfast buffet was OK (7-8/10) and the view from the breakfast buffet was amazing also (10/10). The staff was efficient - (7-8/10).

The location of the hotel is exceptional! It’s right above Hanshin Hankyu line and close to bus stops. Sannomiya is in the heart of Kobe so you can get to everywhere easily from the station. The hotel check in entrance is on 17th floor so the rooms all above which means you get some really nice views of Kobe from check in to your room. There’s also an observation deck on 29th floor. The staff there are very professional and polite. The hotel has all your toiletry needs and also offers complimentary care packs every night for guests.

None. Will stay there again if I go back to Kobe

It’s located conveniently in the centre of the Sannomiya Station, close to everything! The staff were extraordinarily helpful with check in and out as well as luggage deposit. The room is in a reasonable size with a massage chair, bed is not too small and is quite comfortable, and the bathroom features a smart toilet which is pretty cool. The hotel also provides slipper in the room, while toothbrushes and tea bags are available for pickup at the reception.

The hotel entrance is a bit hard to find, and you need to take a lift to the reception on floor 17 first and then take another lift to your room, which is a bit annoying to me.

The massage chair in our room was amazing. It was just what we needed each day after walking with bags for ages. The room was very spacious and I liked how you there were different light settings near the head board. The double head modern shower was great as most places have the shower and bath combo, so it was nice to change it up a bit. The location was very ideal with heaps of food places below - it made the choice hard but exciting.

Was slightly difficult to work out where to find the place initially as there were two different entrances. This wasn’t a big deal though.

Location was perfect, just upstairs of the main station. So it was too easy to go anywhere within the city or the other cities in Japan. Also just in a walking distance from the shopping area and the good restaurants. Staff was too kind and helpful. Rooms were really neat, tidy and clean. And not as small as other Japanese hotels. They even have massage chairs within the room which was quite fantastic thinking that you’ll have long walks in Japan.

Everything was perfect.

We did not have breakfast in the hotel because we do not eat breakfast but the coffee pack offered is of good quality. The location is ideal and very convenient. This is our second time staying in this hotel. Their staff are very helpful and friendly. Our special thanks and appreciation for their hospitality staff Mr. Sakumoto and Miss Hamabe, they have made our stay much more enjoyable by helping to book my special restaurant and boat cruise. We could not manage without their kind assistance to communicate with the staff at the other end.

cannot think of anything that we did not like

the stay at the hotel was very comfortable. From the room on the 20th floor we had a beautiful view of the hills. The room was well set up and equipped. There was even a massage chair ;). Breakfasts in the room with a view of the port or the mountains were also very nice. The hotel is practically next to the train station, so everything was close. The stay in Kobe was the most relaxing during our trip to Japan.

There was little space in the corridor for suitcases. We advise you to take small luggage (in Japan, large luggage is a problem everywhere). When checking in, you may be surprised because the reception is on the 17th floor :).

the hotel is located in a very, very convenient location and due to its height is also a useful landmark to spot from most places in the centre of Kobe, amazingly efficient check-in/out service, lots of free complimentaries, a fantastic view of the city, and although the rooms are small, very much a standard in other bigger cities like Tokyo and Osaka. this one is well thought out, with a lot of useful information as well as Google cast services.

the restaurant upstairs is part of the hotel but the bar seems to be separate and charges an extortionate amount of money for a cover charge, probably because it has panoramic views of the hills and the sea.

The bathtub is deep, and can be filled up to the very top when soaking if desired, because the whole shower room is sealable with a drain for the shower portion. So the tub doesn't have a side drain that would let the water not fill past a certain point.There was also little pouches of bath powder to make the bath scented. Beds were comfy, I liked the memory foam pillow. The view from the higher floors is amazing.

It was a little strange to have a window from the bathroom into the bedroom portion, but there's a curtain you can pull down. I guess the intent is that you can look out through the bathroom window, and then out through the room window to see the city, but it just felt a bit weird.

Remm Plus is awesome, right next to the LRT station downstairs! Tons of food downstairs too, and Steakland's right across the street. Breakfast is on the top floor (29th!). My room even had a massage chair! Plus, they had foot massage stickers, other beauty stuff, and chocolate drinks.

Parking's a nightmare 'cause it's so central, so the cops blocked the road. But we found a lot, P club sannomiya Ekimae Parking, about 800m from the hotel. The guy who ran it was really nice.
