Great location to station and easy to walk to good restaurants. Kana was so helpful and called a bike hire company for us to cycle awaji island, she made this seamless for us when we were struggling with language

There was only 1 shower for the whole hostel which also had the tap for the toilet next door inside.

The prices are the magical selling point of here. $15 for a night in DT Kobe, that too with breakfast included? That’s not just rare, it’s unheard of. I hope they never change their pricing strategies.

It's a great little place. Very friendly staff who are eager to help you find places to explore. the bed was clean and very comfortable. I was also on the top floor so I got a nice view from the balcony! The location is also fantastic. It's easy to walk to a lot of tourist hotspots without ever taking the train. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Not a dislike, but a warning. This is an old Japanese building. the stairs are STEEP and NARROW. If you have big luggage you will struggle getting it up the stairs. the toilet is also narrow, if you are a big person, you will struggle to fit.

I was looking back this sweet kobe trip...All the staff is very friendly and helpful. The other guests seem very social and friendly. The place was clean. It seem like they were always cleaning. It was great water pressure with the showers.It was wonderful that they provided so much service for the price I paid. All and all,it exceeded my expectations, I will definitely be back again.

The location although slightly far from station, but It located in place that able to go to different attraction places, and lot of good restaurants bakery nearby.The sleeping space quite large and comfortable.

The staircase 😂seems dangerous, also the bathroom is located in higher floor

Female dorm only had 2 beds which was great as I had a private room. Bed was very comfortable I had best night sleep of a week travelling in hostels, staff were nice and had free breakfast (toast and fruit). They have really cool books in common area. They store bags on check out until 5. But not before (200 yen charge). Location was quiet and nearish station.

Common area seems pretty unused. I was on 4th floor of steep steps with no handrail or lift. Toilet has no sink, and many men from downstairs used the toilet and a guy opened my door thinking it was a bathroom (not hostels fault although maybe make it a bit clearer which room is which) I didn’t use the shower (soap is not provided for free). Check in is a little late which was a bit annoying.

Clean Space, easy to check in and check out, host is really kind, and he speak two languages, I stayed a few hostel in Kobe but here was my best, most international and most social. perfect to stay in Kobe! Nice location too, I recommend for sure!!

There are no Japanese guests but No problem for me.

I really liked Tonarino Hostel because of the chill atmosphere, the cozy living room with several drinks available for free, and the breakfast included. My room vas very comfortable and the staff was very nice. The price was definitely appropriate.

The bathroom. I was on the fourth floor and there was a toilet and a shower, but no bathroom sink, and no hand soap either. So I had to brush my teeth in the shower which was very uncomfortable, and use sanitary wipes after going to the restroom. It would have been nice to put at least some hand soap so we can wash our hands with the washlet or in the shower.

Really nice staff and a really good price. Extending for one more night was really easy.

The toilet could be a bit bigger and a sink would be perfect.

It was a nice hostel with a unique atmosphere and old records playing. For this price we got a cozy bed, free coffee and some drinks and breakfast. It was a good stay in Kobe and considering the price paid, it would be rude to complain.
