The hotel provided all of the essentials that we look for -- clean, good location, good soundproofing, decent private bathroom, window/natural light, double bed. We enjoyed having a bathtub. We didn't use the sento (hot baths), but they said that small tattoos would be tolerated as long as you cover them up. In the winter the room was a comfortable temperature without requiring us to turn on the AC/heating. They provide room cleaning or new towels on request. The main attraction -- the canal and old town -- is just a minute's walk away.

They offer breakfast for 1200 yen but it is probably not appealing for those looking for a continental buffet breakfast. If you are vegetarian, don't pay up front -- in the morning, look what they have and pay if you think there is enough for you to eat (unlikely). The breakfast is a bit too early, from 6:30 - 9:30. The room was a little small, with a narrow space between the bed and desk, but this is normal in Japan.

It was a good experience from the beginning! The building itself and the lobby/entrance is very modern and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they made me feel very welcome. The room itself was great; spacious (for 1 person), clean, and comfortable bed. The view I had from my room was amazing too! The location is the best part, easy short walk to/from the train station and the historical district for tourist sightseeing. Many restaurants and convenience stores right next door too. This place is great value for money.

Convenient location - easy walking distance from the station and basically on the edge of Bikan historical quarter. Comfortable bed, hot bath on-site, which is a great feature to have.

Check-in time (3 pm) is a bit late, it is 2 pm in most other places. The 'Hot Spring" probably does not qualify for such a name - it is very basic hot bath (although it is still a very welcome feature).

This was our cheap night after a Ryokan. It was fantastic value for money. Lacked nothing higher priced ones had - the Onsen was great. Breakfast not to our taste but we are in a different country so don’t expect different, we knew this might well be the case. Fab VFM.

If you want to see the historical district, this place is great for that. The massage chair in the room is actually really nice if you give it a chance, and at first i thought the TV placement was too high but its actually perfect when you lie down on the bed.

Good location, it is a 10-minute walk from the train station. The area around the hotel is quiet, there is no noise from cars, and there are not many people around. The room has a good bed and sheets with free pajamas. There is a good selection of amenities. Everything was clean. There is a public bath with a bath. Perfect place to finish your busy day and relax. Free WiFi was very good.

Nothing is in English ie aircon remote etc and the staff do not have much english but are extremely helpful . Typical size Japanese room, all you need really. No

The whole place has a clean modern feeling, but in a traditional style. The capsule is really big and private, and the botel never really sleeps - you can return home super late and still jump in the onsen, or chill out in the relaxation area on tatami mats and get a bite to eat in the early hours. There was calming tranditional shamisen music playing over the speakers. In one word, the feeling of the hotel was 'serene'.

The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting the old town in Kurashiki, with its charming canals, boat rides, and denim shops, among other interesting sights. The train station is also nearby, walking distance if it's not pouring rain or the sun is not too hot. Room was perfectly adequate, with good beds, nicely decorated space, and a great view.

I stayed two nights in Green Rich Hotel. It's close to the Kurashiki station and tourist places. Breakfast is simple but enough. The lady who served breakfast is very helpful and friendly.
