Amazing location, 5 mins walk from saga arashiyama station (this station is 10 mins train ride from kyoto station on rapid service train), and also 10 mins walk to the bamboo forest and the surrounding temples. It is just amazing. Right next door there is a sushi omakase spot; mind blowing. The room size we got is huge for japan standard, and I love love the separate shower and bath tub; i got to enjoy a long relaxing hot bath tub after a long day of walking and exploring! I will definitely come back.

Perfect location to explore some of the culture and scenery of Kyoto. Quiet location but very very close to Saga Arashiyama station (2 min walk and easy transit to Kyoto station), nearby supermarket, restaurants, kimono rental, and short walk to the main shopping area, river, bamboo forest, and shrines. Well appointed spacious and comfortable rooms with good amenities, nice views of the mountains, excellent service staff who speak various languages and will help send luggage. This is my second time staying here and I will come again.

Fantastic location in Arashiyama. Very quiet. The rooms are huge (especially after the tiny rooms of Tokyo hotels!) - with balconies and sofas and the toilet separate from the bathroom. Front desk staff were excellent - very friendly and went out of their way to help us - especially the South Korean man (whose name I don't recall - apologies to him!), who dealt with our very rushed and stressed arrival so perfectly! Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Beautiful, luxurious, huge bed, great layout of the room. The Japanese screens made it feel traditional like the area and the layout was so spacious, this place was gorgeous. You’ll be happy if you book. Would have happily stayed for a week.

No restaurant and no hotel facilities to speak of, there was some surprisingly loud traffic at night, but the staff were very nice, the room itself was so big and lovely and luxe, it was all good. Oh, it could really use some hooks in the bathroom for towels. Would stay again! Oh, and dinner options are real limited in the area - check out Upitsburger near the station for dinner.

The location was a bit too out of the way, nothing really to walk into in the evening so you need to get the train to most things after 6pm, which is fine really as public transport is excellent in Kyoto. The breakfast goes to your room and you can pick two options. Unfortunately neither were to our taste, we would have preferred a buffet style where we could have just picked the things we liked out so that we didn't waste the things we didn't.

So many things to like! This was by far the most spacious room with a view, that we had in Kyoto. The beds were comfortable, the room had many amenities such as pajamas, slippers, kettle and teas, mini fridge, tooth brushes, combs, soap, shampoo, etc… what I was impressed with is a personal hand written note was presented in our room. Near to travel an and buses, walking distance to main attractions. The staff at the desk were very accommodating, helped us navigate to certain places we wanted to see. Just a wonderful experience.

No restaurant on premises.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They were very patient when my travel companions and I did not speak Japanese. In fact we went to the wrong Homm Hotel at first and the receptionist, who did not speak English, found a way to communicate to us where our Homm Hotel was located and even got us directions to follow in English. Upon arriving at the correct Homm Hotel, we were greeted with cold green tea and a warm, friendly smile. I would highly recommend staying at a Homm Hotel.

Amazing hospitality and attention to details from the staff. Very large and comfy room (compared to standards in Japan at least). Walking distance to the bamboo forest and other gems in the northwest of Kyoto, way more calm than the east side. Highly recommend this place.

It’s a bit far from most of Kyoto’s tourist sites, so I would probably not stay there the whole time, but definitely worth a couple of nights.

The rooms are very spacious, beautiful, spotless, quiet & comfortable. The staff are very kind and caring, always ready to assist & went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and supported. The location was perfect. Beautiful short walks to everything from the river, bamboo forest, Kimono Forest… sweet little local shops with artisan goods. The kids kept saying, this is like the worlds of Totoro & Kiki which was lovely.

Breakfast was delivered to the room. Staff was super accommodating and was an absolute pleasure to have stayed at Nagi Arashiyama Kyoto. I'll come back whenever I can. Location is a bit far off but nothing longer than a 15minute walk to get to the main area. Which is excellent since it's far enough from the crowd but close enough to get there. Room is HUGE and fantastic. Really didn't want to leave the bed it's probably the best bed I've slept in, even better than the one I own. I might want to go again just to sleep!!! Cleanliness is 100%! Love this place. You will NEVER regret booking this hotel.
