The location is just next to the train station, and also near the bus stop. I met an intern ( I remember her name is Ms. Kurogawa) when I checked-in, she talked with me in very fluent Chinese after she realized I came from Taiwan; That was very surprising me. The other employee also speak good English or Chinese so I think it's very considerable for foreign visitors. Their breakfast and dinner are great that I would like try again next time. The recreation rooms, sento, and fermentation plant are worth spending time if you just want take a relax indoor. In a brief, this is a nice place!

Our favorite hotel in Japan. The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the Umekoji train station, making it super convenient for travel with luggage. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the amenities are the real highlight. Guests have free access to a lovely Sento with a sauna, a 24/7 coffee station, and a fantastic complimentary evening drinks and snacks bar. Unbeatable value and a wonderful experience.
For future guests to note: despite its proximity to the train station. Guests should be aware that they'll need to rely on public transportation (bus or train) to reach most points of interest.

Great spacious rooms, and very good facilities for entertainment (room with music, bar, games, books etc), kind staff! Especially for parents with young kids, there’s a great space to relax with drinks provided (free flow) until 10pm. Had never seen this before but seriously well done!
There was no cot available for our (1,5yr old daughter)- all we could get were some towels so she could sleep on the floor (?!). I find that very strange for hotel that is otherwise so well equipped for families. We used bedding to make some makeshift bed but honestly thats not the service you expect when paying a premium price.

Best is the breakfast : very delicious and many to be selected. As compared to other hotel, this is one of the best.Together with the alcoholic - snack corner on 3 rd floor and sophisticated coffee corner in floor4th are superb. for these aspects , we give more than 10 points But for the room service, may be from the save earth policy together with difficulty in language, sleeping dress which should be changed on daily basis even if the room is not scheduled for complete cleaning, but we have to get to the front and get the new ones, also the unwashed water glass .

The staff were very nice and accomodating. I love how spacious the rooms are! Very very big. I loved the laundry room washing machines being comprehensive and have safety lock. The music room and roof were great. I love the milk soap so much!
I wish if the detergent in washing machine atleast smelled like soap or fresh linen. I almost doubted the cleanliness because i didn't smell anything on the clothes. I wish the toothbrushes were soft. They were very very very hard which is bad for teeth and gum. I wish the tv was smart so we can watch Netflix or mirror our devices.

This is more than just a hotel, it’s communal living at its finest!!! Every floor has shared spaces: from the cozy and lively public bath to the second floor with free drinks (beer and wine!), an exhibition area, and a library? That was amazing. The third floor (if I remember correctly) has a game room and a coffee corner where you can grind your own coffee, the fourth features a vinyl music room overlooking the garden, and the fifth offers another game area. And don’t forget the rooftop space! Also, the rooms are surprisingly spacious for Japan and come with a balcony overlooking either the garden or the park, both views are fantastic. Part of me hopes not too many people discover this place… I want to keep it as my hidden gem! Honestly, I wish I had stayed longer. Nestled in the heart of a park, with a beautifully varied breakfast each morning, 10/10, I’d come back in a heartbeat.
none.

Truly our favourite hotel so far during our Japan holiday. It felt very zen, modern and luxurious. Our room overlooked the park which was beautiful. The facilities were top notch, breakfast was varied and flavourful with lots of options. When we booked we opted to not have breakfast, but once we tried it one day we booked it for the rest. When you’re busy sightseeing it is great to start your day well fed. The facilities like the public bath, drinks area, games area and music room are all amazing assets to have access to. We didn’t expect the free drinks area but it was a lovely touch, quite often we’d get a drink and sit on the cushions and watch everyday life go on at the window. I would have loved if the roof top bar had been made into more of a social space, with heaters for those colder nights and dare I say a bar area similar to the drinks room. Otherwise, an amazing hotel to stay in while visiting Kyoto

We like the room, the pool, and the breakfast. Also the night restaurant was nice and convenient for the stay.
The front desk staff were very helpful and professional. But the breakfast room some staff were not nice and unfriendly: 1) We had requested they cook the raw eggs but they refused. They said Japanese eat raw eggs in breakfast, we need to requested one day advance. Is your hotel only accepting Japanese? 2) We drank tea after breakfast at 9:30 in the morning. But the service lady said we need to go, it was very rudely to customer. Wish the hotel management need to improve the service quality as well.

I traveled with a small child. The accommodation was very close to the station, right next to a park with a playground where people walk their dogs and exercise. There were cherry blossom trees. I went just before they bloomed, and I thought that if the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, the hotel would look even more beautiful. I loved the area for children, so we didn’t have to go anywhere else, along with the various snacks. I also enjoyed the public bath. I think this might be my favorite hotel during my trip to Japan, and I still want to go back and stay there again. I loved coffee drip bar and also wagyu buffet. (ขอบคุณน้องพนักงานคนไทยด้วยค่ะ 😃)

Didn't have breakfast but went to the local Lawsons. Room size was great, beds were very comfortable and we had a small balcony, which was great. The free drinks from 15:00 - 22:00 were a real bonus. Great view from the roof top and great for train spotting the shinkansens. The onsen was great - I was always lucky enough to go in when it was always nearly empty.
We thought we had booked a park view but ended up with a childrens play ground view which wasn't as good. They provide a kettle but no tea or coffee to go with it. Couldn't find any sachets in the hotel. The coffee bar serves coffee in paper cups. The free drinks bar is tucked away on the 2nd. floor so can be difficult to find.
