Lack of hot beverages (espresso, hot milk, cocoa) at breakfast

I think the hotel is great value for the price.

I stayed for three nights, and the lack of decent lighting in the room slightly bothered me.

Location was good, bed was comfortable, good Aircon in the summer. Amenities bar was good and complete (you can get anything like toothbrush/paste, combs, pyjamas, lotions, razors, etc), and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Showers were great! Very good water pressure, good toilet, and the bath tub was godsent on the day we spent hiking in Matsumoto and Mt Noridake (32,000 steps)! Such a nice treat to soak tired feet in hot water especially. We pretty much spent the entire day out on all days, and only slept there at night. We felt very comfortable though.

Parking lots were all spread in different small places so if you're driving, come earlier during check-in hours to snag a parking lot nearer to the hotel! Ours was a 3min walk away, which was a bit annoying if we had to carry things to and from the car. We also had to pay ¥1,000 per night of stay for the parking. Some other Celecton hotels don't charge for it and had free parking right outside the hotel building. Room rates for Matsumoto were a bit high as we booked only 3 weeks out, but I really can't complain about the amenities and service.

Staff professional and helpful, especially the young lady - I forgot her name- Aria, Erea, ?. who gave me restaurant suggestions. Typical excellent business hotel facilities, room good size. Windows double glazed, so street noise not an issue. nice views of the snowy mountains, if room facing west. Breakfast buffet sufficiently varied and tasty. Short walk to the Castle.

Keep in mind the location. bit of a hike to/from the main station and general restaurant/bar area (but Kita-Matsumoto station is a short walk away, that might work better for some guests with luggage?).

Good location, 10min walk from train station, 5mins walk to castle, 10mins walk to shops along Nakamachi and Nawate streets. 7/11 5mins walk. We stayed on the top floor, our room was clean, quiet, had a window that could open, aircon, comfy bed, good shower, mini fridge. View of mountains was lovely from window. Staff were friendly. Microwave and drinks vending machine on ground floor. 300Y washing machines. Hotel is new. We didn’t choose the breakfast option.

Only downer was Netflix wasn’t available on the TV. Not a biggie though.

The price is acceptable for this type of hotel, and the breakfast options are adequate, though not exceptional. Additionally, the hotel is very close to Matsumoto Castle, allowing us to easily walk there for a good photo opportunity.

There is a space near the hotel for pick up/drop off, but I don't know why the hotel staff prohibited us from using that space. I believe if the hotel allowed us to use that space, we could safely alight from our vehicle instead of stopping on the public road, which is very dangerous.

No reply regarding guests enquiries on booking.com hotel room requests. Only replied regarding car parking facilities. Greeted by a helpful staff, Mr Billah who is very patient to explain checkin information and car park lots to us. Room is superbly clean and new. Room interior design is mainly wood and has a homely feel. Spacious for 4 adults. Superior Twin sharing bed has 2 double bed (slightly smaller than a Queen bed, may be more suitable for small size Asians) and a sofa bed. The room is 28 sqm. It has a beautiful Matsumoto ball (Temari ) encased in a piece glass. The bathroom is nice, clean and spacious, like a mini Osen bath. A separate room with door for toilet, a bathroom (shower area with stool, a bathtub). A notice indicated that the door needs to be closed when bathing as steam will activate the fire alarm. The sink has a full glass mirror and lighting is perfect for makeup. It even has a vanity stool for make up like in an onsen. It has an automated sensor tap. There’s a humidifier and air freshener. Room comes with complimentary use of UCC coffee/earl grey/green tea pods machine in the room. We were given coffee & earl grey pods. Daily bottled drinking water.

There are no cupboard for clothes. Clothes have to be hung on hangers next to main door. Luggage storage is fine with 3 luggages under cloth hangers. However, it is difficult to open 3 luggages at one time. No hooks for hanging wet towels in bathroom or room. Toilet has a smell after 2nd day. Need to use air freshener spray provided.

clean and nice decor. room is not that small. 7/11 is just across the road. staff can speak english. good breakfast though less selections. good onsen. car park at 1000yen per day. you can sed the castle of matsumoto.

hotel provides car parking but limited. if you check in late, you will have to park a car far from hotel but walkable.

We were so lucky to have a room with a view of Matsumoto Castle. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Matsumoto train station, Matsumoto Castle, and Nawate shopping street making it great for getting around. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety of food so whether you prefer Western or Japanese style breakfast you should be able to find something. I was also able to enjoy the communal bath facilities and would recommend trying them out.

The room itself was cozy but it worked for us.
