I liked the mostly everything! From the check-in process, room itself, amenities, food, service, and cleanliness. After checking out, we stayed at the lobby for an hour while waiting for our next itinerary, while still enjoying there complimentary drinks.

I didn't like how the staff at the breakfast buffet seems to be rushing to get our plate. The restaurant is not crowded so I don't understand why would she get our tray while we are still chatting. It seemed like that is their way to tell us that we're taking too much time? but it is a 2 hour buffet so idk...

Where to start?? So much good things about this hotel! Close to the train station and everything else really. The rooms are spacious, clean and it is completely quiet. The view from the breakfast room is breathtaking.. and the breakfast is amazing. Can’t recall when I had such a rich breakfast the last time. Definitely go for the breakfast!!!! And the the staff.. oh the staff. I mean people in Japan are very nice in general, but the staff here is outstanding. They make you already happy just by being present. Very helpful, attentive and friendly at all times. I want to mention especially the staff at the breakfast. Can’t even find words for them. Such nice people. Arigato gozaimasu 🙏

Room was bigger than average. Quite near the Nagano train station and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Great secure facility to leave luggage after checkout which skiers can take advantage of. We didn’t,but felt it was really thoughtful of the hotel to provide the service. drink bar at the lobby where you can relax and chill while deciding what to do for the day. Kudo as well to the staff member who made their recommendation for us to go to nearby Togakushi ski resort, we really appreciate this insight as the place wasn’t touristy at all, which is what we wanted.

Wasn’t sure whether the room I got was double bed but it was tough to fit into people in that small space. Also, the pillows have like pebbles in them. It wasn’t my style but this is only nitpicking.

The staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. We really liked the coffee machine and put it to good use. The breakfast was good, with a nice range of Japanese and Western foods. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was the biggest we've been in. It was good value for money compared to other places we considered. The hotel was closer to the station than we realised. On the last day, we found a shortcut through a side alley. It was quiet despite being so close to the train line.

I would have liked a sheet. The comforter was too warm and we kept overheating despite leaving the air con off.

Good location, Good Value. We were luckily on a higher floor so some view of the surrounding mountains. Decent storage space and a spacious room by Japanese business/mid-market standards. Morning coffee service in the lobby was much appreciated.

In terms of the room/hotel, not too much to comment on in the negative. One piece of advice is to avoid the Google Map directions to the property. Why? The two "quickest" ways either involve tangling with cars seeking out one of the many car parks en route or a side street that one may politely describe as "less desirable" due to being an obvious favourite of the local avian population. Let's just say that you would probably not want to drag your suitcase through any of that and leave it there. Stick to the main road sidewalks; wider, cleaner, though a bit slower to reach the hotel.

Very nice stay. Helpful staff. Five minutes from the station. Good size rooms and even a soft light behind the bed (comfortable lighting is not to be taken for granted!). Were very helpful with sending our case to the next hotel and very easy, free luggage storage that you can manage yourself (great since it's so close to the station). Very pleased, will probably stay here again if we return to Nagano.

No coffee machine in the room, but always available in the lobby as well as hot chocolate and sometimes iced coffee/tea.

The location is great, within walking distance of JR Nagano Station. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are large and clean, with a great view of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the restaurant on the top floor of the hotel was great and tasty, a lot of Japanese dishes. The restaurant itself has beautiful examples of Japanese art and the atmosphere itself is more reminiscent of an expensive Japanese restaurant.

Basic hotel with polite service. Breakfast is awesome. Hotel staff was prompt and offered us a refund for our breakfast upon hearing that we didn't have time to take it because of our travel itinerary.

The room is spacious and clean. Staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is very good. Even though compared to its competitor in town (the one with popular breakfast with panoramic view from the top floor) , this one is quite low key, the variety of buffet lines is smaller and not as panoramic view, the quality of food is very good and the breakfast hall is very cozy and clean, and still, you get some decent views of Nagano mountains. The staff are very attentive to guests and always refills the food trays. Comparing to the most famous one, I like them equally. I like the idea of not giving water bottles to each room but providing a drink bar at the lobby. It’s more environmental friendly. But still, I think guests should know this before coming as they will be able to bring their own bottles or tumbler. The lobby is also very nice. I love their choice of books. They are suitable for vacations.

The hotel has its own parking lot with fees. I am ok with the fees but the entrance of the parking lot is really narrow. With my mediocre driving skill, I have to pray for not getting any scratches, lol. If you get scared with something like this easily, please consider leaving your car at a nearby paid parking lot(there are many of them) and do not even bother trying to get into the hotel parking lot.

The welcome drinks and little pastries and treats. The 24H hot beverage dispenser. The reading area that doubles as snack area. It’s clean and the staff are helpful. The second floor laundry room has a microwave and a vending machine. In this heat, there is ice machine on every floor and a fridge in the room. Excellent.

Pajamas - should be of other sizes to accommodate bigger body types. Trash cans should have a lining.
