The location is great, just a few minutes' walk from the main train station (Shinkansen and JR lines) and has plenty of amenities around it. The bed capsules are clean and cosy, with a light and socket available for use. The bathrooms are split by gender and the shower has toiletries available for use. It is easy to check in and check out, the hostel also runs a restaurant which can make for an easy, quick dinner if you're tired, and there's a nice living area in the bar that can be used during your stay. The price is reasonable given the quality of the facilities.

No slippers are provided but I would highly recommended them given the hard, stone flooring. Disposable, paper slippers are nevertheless available for 150 yen purchase at reception. Small lockers are available in the dorm to store valuables, but there is nowhere where you can lock away large luggage due to insufficient space in the capsules; instead, there is an area with tape on the floor designated to leave bags, which may not be satisfactory for some. Additionally, there are no staff around for checkout in the early hours of the morning, so make sure to plan ahead in case you wish to leave your bag somewhere for a few hours to visit the city. i.e. speak with reception the night before, or use the lockers at the station.

The bunk beds are sturdy (no noises when you move) and really comfortable to sleep in. The room is well aired and always at great temperature. Air condition is centralised so nobody can modify it at their convenience. People are also every respectful of night (silent) times. The location is 10/10 About the restaurant, I had dinner there once while waiting for my laundry and it was very good, I had a salad with seasonal mushrooms from Nagano with a really tasty sauce. The Waschmaschine + Dryer worked well. Honestly, one of the best hostels I've slept at in Japan! I stayed 3 nights and slept like a baby!

In the female dorm in the bathroom the vent in the shower was super dusty and was blowing dust in the shower, also I packed up all my gear and wanted to wait downstairs in the common area as I was waiting to be picked up - but I was asked to leave at 10:00 right away, so I had to stand outside in the cold with all my luggage while I waited for 20 mins to be collected - in Australia once you are out of your room you are allowed to stay in the common area with your luggage until your ready to leave

Very good location next to the train station. Staff was friendly and explained everything clearly. Otherwise pretty standard capsule hotel, felt rather warm and welcoming too. There's even a laundry room, although I didn't use it. And of course the price is unbeatable

There are no big lockers, only small ones for valuables (I could cram my backpack and DSLR camera in there). The big suitcases have to go under the bed, or somewhere else in the room, so there's a bit of clutter because of that. Also, you have to pay for all the small extras like towels, pajamas, slippers,... In other places those are generally for free. But from my perspective those were not big issues at all

Our family of four stayed in one of the family rooms with private bathroom for two nights. The beds were larger than expected and super comfortable. The cafe/bar downstairs was fantastic and served a great selection of beer and wine as well as excellent wood-fired pizzas. We really liked the location which was very close to the station. I don't think you could beat this place for value-for-money.

We weren't able to store luggage at the property at all (we were actually asked to leave the cafe area soon after checking out, which wasn't great and took the edge off our visit).

Super convenient location with friendly staff! The bed was comfortable and there was ample space in the room to store my luggage. The showers were kept clean and I never had issues with them being busy.

The private (3rd floor) dining area was fine, but there was no cutlery or any kind of kitchenware available (like chopsticks), which was a little inconvenient at times. Sometimes the room light was switched onto full during the day and it was not clear if/how they could be dimmed down, and on the top bunk it was very bright and made it difficult to sleep.

Friendly staff, good pizza, nice showers, and a cozy bed. Allowed to check in early, which was a life saver. I applaud them for that service. Hugs to them!!

The room is huge, which is great. However, it can be a bit noisy just due to how it's set up. I came during off-season, so luckily, there aren't many people here, but I can imagine with a full dorm it would be very difficult to sleep. Also, I was charged $7 more for a Saturday than a Friday. I thought that was a bit annoying but probably common.

Cute little hostel with a cafe/restaurant downstairs and rooms upstairs. Little seating area (two tables) with a fridge, microwave and kettle for guest use, which was super helpful. I liked that the shower rooms all had a sink and mirror so you could do your skincare and brush your teeth without having to go into the main area. The room was a really comfortable temperature (which is great because often capsules are very stuffy) and there was enough air flow. Staff were very lovely too!

Capsules had a curtain closure so not quite as light and soundproof as some others. I had earplugs and an eye mask so not a big issue! Be aware that towels aren’t included so you’ll have to pay for one if you don’t bring your own.

Clean, friendly staff, all the basics.

The restaurant/bar was very expensive, you had to rent all amenities and the lounge on the third floor was very small and didn’t come with a drinks machine so you had to go down to the first floor for the free drinks service between 10pm - 10am. One of the days none of the mugs had been washed so we couldn’t even get any drinks in the morning.

location is really close to the station! at the same time, the distance felt good enough that i didnt feel too close to all the traffic. i had a nice walk from the hotel to zenkoji temple that didn't feel too long either. staff was really friendly and i really enjoyed the open space on the first floor to get some work done. food was also really great!
