I would highly recommend a stay at First Cabin Midosuji Namba if you are in the Namba area and are looking for an affordable yet pleasant accommodation. The location was a stone's throw away from Namba Station. If you can find Exit 13, there's an elevator that brings you straight up to the hotel lobby. Since it's centrally located, you can walk to various shopping streets like Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, as well as numerous restaurants and entertainment options without needing to take a train or taxi. It truly puts you right in the heart of the action! Check-in is at 5 PM, and unfortunately, they are quite strict about this policy. However, you can always leave your luggage with them, or you're welcome to sit at the lobby and wait. The staff at the front desk were polite and helpful, and many were able to speak some English. I was there for several nights, so I didn't have to check out the day after but could remain in my capsule for my entire stay. There were lots of amenities at the lobby for you to collect for your stay. Besides the usual toothbrush, comb, slippers, and towels, they also provide earplugs, nose strips, and eye masks, which is a great bonus for light sleepers. The public bathroom/sento was clean and it was never crowded. So for the shy, it was an ideal environment to enjoy the communal bath without feeling self-conscious or exposed. And finally, there were coin-operated washers and dryers too.
Nothing that i didn’t like about the place.

Location: Conveniently situated in the Namba district, the hotel is just a short walk from Namba Station, making it easy to travel around Osaka. It's also close to Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and other popular attractions, with numerous restaurants and shops nearby. Room: The cabin-style rooms are compact but functional, with modern decor. Each room has a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and charging ports for your devices. Although space is limited, the rooms are well-designed for solo travelers, offering just the right amount of comfort for a short stay. Amenities: 24-hour front desk for assistance at any time. Shared lounge area where guests can relax or mingle. Shared bathrooms with high-quality toiletries, clean facilities, and lockers for your belongings. Vending machines available for snacks and drinks. Luggage storage service, perfect for those who want to explore the city after checking out. Laundry facilities for longer stays. Overall Experience: First Cabin Midosuji Namba is a great budget-friendly option in an excellent location. The hotel’s amenities provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, especially if you're just looking for a place to rest after exploring Osaka. It’s perfect for travelers who don’t need a lot of space but want easy access to the city’s main attractions.

I was there for one night but had a confirmed reservation for a few nights after my cycling trip and they were very accommodating - they were kind enough to keep my luggage and bike case while I was away. That was a great help and I really appreciate that!! There were lots of amenities at the lobby for you to collect for your stay. Besides the usual toothbrush, comb, slippers, and towels, they also provide earplugs, nose strips, and eye masks, which is a great bonus for light sleepers. Cool upscale version of a capsule hotel. A bit on the pricier side for capsule hotels, but is justified through the amenities and large individual living space. Also extremely close to Dotonbori and other major tourist sties in Osaka!
No AC per room (we had to ask the staff at the front desk to lower the temperature for all units), and individual capsules don't lock (only provided one drawer where you can lock your belongings if leaving the hotel). Also extremely thin walls between rooms, so you have to trust that your neighbors will be quiet, and it also forces you to be quiet for other guests as well (can't even make a phone call in the room...)

The location is excellent. I arrived quite late by train and only needed to take a lift from Namba Train Station to reach the destination. The entire hotel is quiet and pleasant. The room had everything I needed, including very cute pyjamas. It is like a more sophisticated version of a dormitory with lots of privacy. Although breakfast wasn’t included, you can use the community room to eat. Couple of shops located around the station. A microwave and hot water are provided. It’s a perfect place if you’re planning to explore Osaka. You can easily reach Kyoto and Hiroshima from here. I felt very secure and safe as a female solo traveller.

* Location. It was walkable distance to Namba station (several exit) also Dontonbori * There’s a gym (very small but nice) on 4th floor for guests to use - cost 1000 YEN per day. * the indoor spa, sauna and the cold bath!
The ladies toilet. There was nothing else apart from hairdryer and hand wash. I’ve stayed at other first cabin in Nagoya and Fukuoka before, both had other amenities accessible in the washroom which was a lot more convenient.

The room was very comfortable and the sento was wonderful. I loved my stay here. Great lighting, great feel, very easy check in. Wonderful location. I would definitely stay here again in Osaka. All toiletries supplied, including earplugs, headphones, brushes and eye masks.
You are sharing sonic space with the other people sleeping there and so I could hear a lot of snoring and people moving. You will probably need earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Luckily everyone was very respectful and considerate.

Amazing location and great facilities!
There was a large gap at the top of the curtain, which meant it didn't properly black out the room and a lot of leaked in - ended up having to use eye mask when sleeping. The surface above the gap was also very slightly reflective, which meant at certain angles you could actually see in/out of part of the room even with the curtain closed - made it feel less private than it should have been.

Staff very helpful, location over one of the entrances to Oaska train network. Had more amenities than the expensive hotels. Hence very good value for money, probably best suited for single travelling individuals.
My only concern was that the cubicle was not lockable.Hence you could go into anyone's cubicle. It did have a drawer under the bed for small items to be locked in, but luggage could be taken away very easily.

The location is right next to a major train station. A few convenience stores are nearby like Lawsons and 7-Elevens. VERY close to shopping complexes and well known chain restaurants. The bed is a bit firm but soft and comfortable. Plenty of free amenities for the stay. You will need to take off your shoes and use their slippers before entering the living area. But that ensures that the entire place is very clean the very first step you enter their premise. There are 4 elevators so you will not need to wait long to get in or out. The place is very kind to allow me to keep my luggages until the check-in time. There are 2 smoking rooms and multiple vending machines. They also have a mini store at the lobby if you need some noodles or drinks. There are washrooms and shower rooms on each floor. But the shared bath area is big and very comfortable.
It is the hotel's policy, but the check-in time is very late at 5pm, while the check-out is very early at 10am.
